The ladies working in the community are very kind and organized. Probably the best part of all the stay.

Intentions are good, results mediocre. We have booked 2 nights through booking, and not through their website, because we wanted to be free to decide whether to take part in their activities or not once we were there. On arrival though, we soon realized we had ended up in a kind of inescapable, well organized tourist trap. The manager promptly made an unrequested schedule for us which would include a bicycle ride, a dinner with local dances and a safari. All of these activities are not cheap and nothing else (not even a 15min lift to the nearby village) is offered, apart from a welcome drink. The rooms are simple, the food has been adapted to meet the tourists taste but lacks in authenticity. Not much choice then especially if you're vegetarian. The idea behind the homestay is brilliant but unfortunately they have transformed it in an unreliable, standardized community fake tourist village. I do hope the money goes to the women as they state in their project. As a tour operator and guide I honestly cannot recommend this place to any of my clients or future travelers.

Although their Safari-Tour doesn't take you to the actual national park premise, we still got to see quite a few animals - full grown rhino taking a bath in the river, a peacock trying to impress a jungle fowl, deer. Hot showers, at least after letting the water run for approx. 5 minutes:)
