Die. Lage ist einfach top.

Die wirklich außergewöhnliche Lage mitten in der Altstadt. Das Frühstück auf der Terrasse.

Die extreme Hellhörigkeit des gesamten Gebäudes. Die mangelhaften Kleinigkeiten, wie Ablage in der Dusche, Halterung Duschkopf, Zustand der Klobürste...

Worth the effort to get there

Nice, friendly welcome. Good breakfast on the terrace.. Comfortable bed. I could leave my bicycle indoors.

Not the fault of the b&b of course, but it's rather hard work getting up there - you can't avoid going up or down some steps. But it's worth it!

Erg goed ( als je tegen lawaai tijdens het slapen kan)

De ligging!! Deze is ideaal!! Ook een supervriendelijke gastvrouw en een heerlijk ontbijt!!

De mobiele airco maakte zoveel lawaai dat je er niet van kon slapen. Ook de waterleiding fluitte verschrikkelijk

Logement charmant en plein cœur de Castelsardo

Personnel très accueillant. Logement en plein cœur du centre historique. Petit déjeuner de bonne qualité sur une terrasse en rooftop. Parking gratuit à 300m, sans doute très plein en juillet/août mais aucun problème en septembre.

On dort très bien la nuit mais on se réveille dès que le premier client se lève.

Great position but probably not suitable for oldies

The hotel is in a great position for backpackers or travellers with not much luggage .

We are over 70 so carrying luggage up and down a lot of stairs for one night was not one of our smarter decisions .

Centrally located but needs an upgrade

Location was perfect to visit the old town.

Creaky doors with glass of which each time other guests used common areas light entered the room. AC was a portable that was too loud (70db) to sleep with. Front door needed to be slammed to be closed , waking you up each time guests came in.

B&B with beautiful views

B&B in the middle of the cute oldtown of Castelsardo. Beautiful views from the room as well as from the breakfast terrace. Breakfast was very good and the staff very friendly. Made you feel like home. :)

Wifi signal weak inside the room. Size of the shower was very small. No airconditioner, but therefore a fan.

We enjoyed being in the heart of Castelsardo, and the staff was kind and outgoing.

The staff and the nice breakfasts on the terrace. Central location in the old town.

The rooms are not well sound-proofed and some of the air conditioners are too loud. Pillows are uncomfortable. The B&B uses a photo of the church tower which is a bit misleading as the actual property is down the road. And the name would indicate it is a lighthouse, but it is not.

Lots of steps up to get to it pity it did not say that as I would not have booked Staff could be more friendly Pipes from bathroom whistle you could even heR the whistle from other rooms but saying that it's a old building Water was a brownish colour but again old building

The location was excellent Lovely breakfast on the terraza upstairs The views Family run business

The welcome could have been warmer with a bottle of water The bathroom was smelly It can be noisy with wind and thin walls if you are light sleeper bring earplugs

Very good

Lovely hosts, individualized breakfast, spacious rooms, excellent location, and clean.

Water pressure is low, there’s a lot of church bells going off all the time and the birds are loud but that’s expected by the sea. Bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper.

Dingy and Disappointing

There is nothing that impressed us about this property. Poor communications, excuses as to why the host was late to meet us at the property, sparsely furnished and dated. Dark bathroom with smelly old plastic shower curtain, low hot water pressure, and thin old greyed towels. Uncomfortable squeaky bed. No Wifi signal in the room….only when you went into the hall. In all honesty the property felt like a boarding house.

Most things need significant attention to bring this property up to an acceptable standard (based on our personal experience as Genius Level lll bookers)

Different experience as you live in old times

You stay on the hill in the old part with sea view, just like living 100 hundred years ago :). Parking is close by and just have to climb up a bit. Location is really awesome.

In the heart of Castelsardo!

Rooftop deck for breakfast was a treat.

Had to go downstairs for the wifi, but seems understandable when staying in such a historic building.

Loved it - perfect location in the old town. Cool house with roof terrace overlooking sea for nice breakfast. Comfortable room with cotton sheets and nice external bathroom. Sorry we could only stay one night. Hosts were lovely. Safe bicycle storage.

Lovely breakfast on the terrace, friendly hosts, located in the old town. Lots of nice places to eat.

Wifi very patchy, hard pillow. A bit of an uphill walk from the bus stop but worth the effort!

Perfect location at the historic center of Castelsardo. Stunning views from the terrace, where a nice breakfast is served every morning. Room was spacious and equipped with air conditioning.

Delightful, friendly, family-run hotel

L'Antico Faro is a little gem. It is situated down a cool, narrow street in the old historical centre of the town. Our host came to meet us at the door and showed us around, providing lots of useful information. He is a kind, courteous and enthusiastic host. Our rooms were lovely: spotlessly clean, comfortable, cool and with effective air-conditioning. Plenty of hot water in the shower, and all we needed was provided. The balcony had a little washing line which proved very useful for drying swimwear. Breakfast on the terrace was a delight with lots of choices and more than we could eat. We also sat up there with a glass of wine in the evenings and enjoyed the breeze and great views. We would highly recommend this lovely little family hotel.

Exceptional

I would totally recommend this accomodation to everyone. Not only the owners were super nice (even though I am a begginer in Italian, I would talk with the owners in it and it just lifted my italian experience so much, because the were really lovely and spoke to me slowly so I could understand), the terrase for the breakfast has the most amazing view on the Corsica island. The room was comfortable and big enough, it is a great place to stay when in Castelsardo!

Very good

Location in the north side of the old city centre. Quiet location and great view on the sea from the terrace on the top floor. All interesting things in walking distance.

Location is not accessible with the car, it would be nice to have an instructions how to find it. Google's lost too. Window is really small, also the room. Very basic, just for spending the night.

The hosts are great. Breakfast was very good on the roof top. It is in the old city center.

One cannot enter the car to the old center, so you have to park outside. Reaching the guest house demand climbing up and down many stairs which can be somewhat difficult.

° very lovely stay at a very nice location

° the view from the terrace over the sea ° very lovely hosts ° if you want to visit the castle you should have a room on the hill ° lovely breakfast on the lovely terrace

° the room was huge - but the shower was very very small - could not move with our arms ° the "terrace" offered on our description was also the terrace where the breakfast took place- so not really private ° parking spot was indicated by owner, but we had difficulties to find it - even with GPS ° make ONE suitcase to carry up the mountain (what we did) there are many stairs to walk up
