It was okay… but give the way the manager operates the place, I wouldn’t want to come back.

Huge rooms. Mostly clean and comfortable.

Rooms a little bit dark with limited natural light. The pillow on arrival has stain. The manager of the place seemed a little bit all over the place and constantly in a hurry to leave. My husband rented a scooty from them quite late in the day as we checked in late but we had to pay the full daily price. We made only one trip with the scooter and hardly used the fuel in the tank. But the manager charged us the price of a 1 litre bottle of gasoline upon checkout. We felt the bike hire and the way she dealt it in the end was unfair and a rip-off.

Perfect peaceful place to stay

The hosts were both so welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were clean and spacious and the bed was so comfy. The room facilities were great and views from the room were good too. The area is quiet and peaceful which is ideal for a good night's sleep. Gilas garden is about 20 minute walk to Lamai which is doable, but would recommend renting a moped from them to get around the island. Definitely value for money and I would definitely stay at Gilas garden again!

Lovely Stay, Gorgeous Bungalow

The bungalows here are gorgeous. They are very big and are kept super clean. The outside area is really pretty with the garden and you have your own outside seating area with plugs, light, and fans outside too. The Hotel rent bikes at a good price for you to use which is useful to get to Lamai Beach and viewpoints/waterfalls around the island. I would definitely stay here again and recommend others to stay here!

The tap water smells bad and the water pressure from the shower is quite bad, it almost hurt to shower some times so needs replacing.

Great Bungalow in beautiful garden. Lamai beach is about 3km away, but with the scooter you can rent from the owner it’s not an issue.

Without a scooter you are too far away from anything hapening in Lamai beach. You can rent a scooter at 200thb per day its good value and you are mobile.

Very nice and cozy place in the garden. Comfortable bed, good facilities, garden view. Close by there is minimart and laundramat. You can rent a bike there. From main streets 20 min walk or few min drive. definatelly will come again

Brilliant. Amazing location, large clean room with a very comfortable bed. It's got a beautiful garden you can enjoy and places to dry washing. The hosts were very accommodating and rented us a bike. This place is unbelievable value for money and a haven in busy Samui. I didn't want to leave.

Beautiful location, huge room, comfortable stay. Bed was extremely comfortable. And the air conditioner was powerful enough to cool the whole room quickly. The owners were also kind and helpful. We rented a bike from them with no deposit required.

Cosy place with friendly owners

We really enjoyed our stay at Gila's Garden. We have travelled to many places but this one of the warmest welcomes by the hostess. We even got an upgrade of the room for free. The room was very clean and had a big bathroom with a good hot shower, good airconditioning and a few fans. The bed was the biggest we got in Thailand and as a 2 meter long person it was a nice thing to have. It was very comfy as well! Also, the balcony and garden were very well maintained. Far away from all the traffic noise of Koh Samui. If you are lucky Rosa (one of the younger cats) is coming to play. Overall a very comfy place to spend several nights! Im sure the owners help you with anything you need!

If there is something to say then maybe it's the location and the fact that you're dependent of a motorbike. Though it's only 2 km to Lamai centre and they rent motorbikes for reasonable prices at Gilas garden itself. And since you're Thailand you should try driving on a motorbike;)
