Devo dire che è stata una scelta eccellente!

I giorni prima dell’arrivo, ho contattato il proprietario, il signor Romano, in due occasioni. Volevo assicurarmi che la prenotazione fosse andata a buon fine e per chiedere alcune informazioni utili per il mio soggiorno. Mi sono interessato alla possibilità di aggiungere un ospite in più, alla presenza di un phon e di asciugamani e, in generale, a tutti i comfort che avrei potuto trovare nella struttura. In entrambe le occasioni, si è dimostrato gentile, disponibile e attento a chiarire ogni mio dubbio. All'arrivo, siamo stati accolti da Romano con un sorriso caloroso e una bottiglia del suo vino fatto in casa. Ci ha raccontato la storia della casa e del territorio, dimostrando una vera passione per la sua terra. La casa si è rivelata perfetta per il nostro gruppo di 5 persone, nonostante la prenotazione fosse per 4. Un'ulteriore nota di merito va a Romano, che non ci ha addebitato alcun costo per l'ospite in più. Abbiamo apprezzato molto il caffè a disposizione, la doccia calda con sapone e i letti comodi. Non avendo usufruito della cucina e del barbecue esterno, non posso fornire un feedback a riguardo. Bicchieri, bagno e camere da letto erano puliti. La casa si trova in una posizione strategica, a soli 15 minuti di auto dalle Terme di Saturnia. La vista era davvero suggestiva, un panorama perfetto per rilassarsi dopo una giornata alle terme. Nonostante il sovrapprezzo per il riscaldamento indicato su Booking, non ne abbiamo avuto bisogno e Romano non ce l'ha addebitato e nemmeno fatto presente. Abbiamo avvisato un'ora prima della nostra partenza e lui era già fuori ad aspettarci, interessato a sapere come ci fossimo trovati. In sintesi, un soggiorno da consigliare! Abbiamo dormito bene in un ambiente tranquillo e silenzioso. La casa è ideale per gruppi di amici in cerca di un weekend rilassante alle terme. Per una coppia consiglierei un altro tipo di location!

L'arredo era un po' datato, ma questo contribuiva a creare un'atmosfera accogliente e vissuta. Abbiamo notato solo un inconveniente: la mancanza di prese di corrente, ma grazie alle recensioni precedenti, eravamo preparati con una prolunga per i nostri dispositivi.

Un posto tranquillo

Il sig. Romano è un gentleman vecchio stampo. Poche chiacchiere e tanti fatti. Ci ha accolto con una bottiglia di vino ed un po' d'olio di sua produzione: entrambi squisiti. Essendo stati solo una notte non posso dare giudizi approfonditi ma siamo stati piuttosto bene. Posto molto tranquillo a meno di 1 km dal centro!

L'asciugacapelli non funzionava benissimo ed una luce in bagno funzionava a tratti, ma per una notte non è stato un dramma!

- Friendly owner meet us with home made wine - Very spacious apartment - Good location - Apartment looks like a museum

- It was old stuff smell - It was mold under the sink - Some power sockets were not working and were damaged (especially dangerous for the children) - There was a gas stove but we didn't found any matches to use it - Furniture in the terrace were broken

Nice location but need more attention to make property amazing

Property location was amazing only problem is host doesn’t know English at all so language problem. When we reached property we rang host but we both can’t understand each other so for the short time felt like need to find another hotel at midnight as I was checking late. Otherwise host was good man.

Hot water take’s time to come.

The night in a museum

That was more a museum than an apartment - lots of pictures, sculptures, vintage porcelain, crystal glasses, embroidered table cloths, etc. Library with numerous art and other books and albums. 3 Huge illustrated books "La Divina Commedia " by Dante. The kitchen was also kind of museum of kitchenware. And amazing views to the garden and valley from the terrace...

Awfully cold in April. No Wifi. No matches for the gas stove (electrical ignition didn't work).

Situated at a nice place. We could use the washing machine. Mr Romana was very friendly but didn't speak a word English so you'll need your Google Translate. The place was clean. Not a luxury treat, but all in all, okay.

As mentioned before communication was very difficult, for example: we didn't know when we could check in. You need to schedule taking a shower as there is only a very small boiler so hot water is precious :)

it was a very cozy stay in Marciano with a beautiful view

the sheets in our room were really dirty so we had to change them thankfully he had extra sheets in the closet

We absolutely loved it! The perfect Italian/Toscanian experience! We would definitely go back there again.

Romano doesn’t speak English, so we had a bit of a problem with the finding of the house, but other than that everything was amazing!

House with a soul

Signor Romano is a very generous and caring host. He took care we had everything we needed (like capsules for the coffee maker) and offered gifts of his little farm: tomatoes, herbs, eggs and wine. It is a very good base for discovering the region (Saturnia, Pitigliano, Viterbo, Lago di Bolsena, Argentario etc. are within about 12-45 km). And a very good value for money

This is an old house with a soul, so if you prefer the insipid sterility of a modern hotel, you should not come here. There might be some problems with electric sockets (only two or three were usable), but we knew about it from other guests and brought our electric distributor. Pots and pans rather old and worn-out.

Had a pleasant stay

The location, the possibility of parking very close. the host is friendly. The room is quite comfortable. Nice jasmine flowers outside the door which provided a nice scent.

Some details here in there in the room which didn't make it top of the class, no major issues though.

Unexpected beauty

The house is owned by a very discreet gentleman, who welcomed us giving us a bottle of his red wine "Rosso di Vino". The walls of the house are full of paintings, sketches and drawings, a few bronze statues are creating a warm atmosphere. Showing us the house Romano opens a beautiful and rare edition of Divina Commedia, he says "it's my passion". A patio outside is perfect to contemplate the view of the valley and of the veggie garden where tomatoes, olive and fruit trees are slowly growing. The house is located at 20 minutes from the Saturnia Terme and 25 minutes from. Pitigliano. Casa Ballerini its full of memories and pieces art that are making you wander about the history of the place and the owner as well. Highly recommend to visit and to stay for long time.

We were there for just one night but enjoyed the property. It was a nice and quiet apartment and the owner was very nice. We left with a complimentary bottle of wine and a bag of beautiful tomatoes from the garden. You can also buy the best olive oil from Italy. It was in driving distance of the Terme di Saturnia.

Everything!!! Awesome place to stay. We have a really good reception, even that we didn’t speak Italian he made all the efforts to be an awesome host. The view from Case Ballerini is breath taking, everything really clean, all the people were really taught full and he got us gifts that he made by himself, an AMAZING wine. Just go there we have no complains and just accomplish to do and is really close to the cascata del mulino if u want to enjoy one of the beauty’s of Italy!!!
