Perfect Homestay In udawalawe

The whole family is very welcoming.Everything was great.sheran took us on a safari tour udawalawe,It was really nice,enjoy a lot.He is very knowledgeable guide.The binoculars were a bonus. We had lunch and dinner during the 2 days of our stay.The meals prepared by his mother are delicious.Great moments and memories,highly recommended this homestay!!!

Best Safari in Udawalawe

What a lovely family and a lovely stay!Sheran is very friendly and a great guide for the safari!The dinner (traditional Rice & Curry)was the best rice & curry we have eaten!one of our best memories in Sri Lanka.Highly recommended !!!

-Nous avons été chaleureusement accueilli par Sheran (le fils des gérants) avec qui nous avons fait notre Safari. Sheeran est vraiment bienveillant des animaux et nous avons particulièrement apprécié vivre cette expérience avec lui. -Notre fils de 3 ans a littéralement adoré Sheran qui s'est montré attentionné. -La famille à veillé que tout se passe bien et que nous manquions de rien. -Nous avons particulièrement apprécié notre déjeuner fait maison par la maman. -Merci au papa qui a accepté de nous conduire à Tangalle dans la soirée

Durant notre Safari, parfois, jusqu'à 8 jeeps se retrouvaient autour d'un seul éléphant, ce qui contribue à la pollution même avec les moteurs éteints. Le parc devrait revoir sa capacité d'accueil en limitant le nombre de véhicules simultanés. Merci à l'établissement de faire passer le message ! évidemment la famille n'est pas responsable de çà..

Good stay

Not too far nor too close to the natural park main entrance. Sheran and his family provided us a warm welcoming to his family house. They also prepared drinks.and diner early so we can get ready to sleep quickly for the tomorrow safari. The rooms were good with all the facilities (shelves, power adaptors,...). Almost no noise by night pure silence !!! Dinner prepared by his mother was delicious they even provided some beers

The bathroom system is quite old fashion. There are mosquitoes so beware.

A nice place inside the jungle 🐘

The place is very clean, rooms are nice. Furthermore there is a nice garden where you can chill out. Owner is very friendly and speaks English very well, thus, I recommend going on safari with him 🐘🦚🦅 The WiFi was great what is rare in Sri Lanka 😀 Breakfast was also tasty too.

Nice stay, great host and safari guide!

I stayed here for 2 nights and it’s a nice homestay! Sheran, the host, also organises the safari, which makes it very easy to discover udawalawe. He knows a lot about the surrounding and the animals. I went on a half day safari and after that he brought me to the orphanage for baby elephants. I also eat one night at the homestay and the mother of sheran cooked an amazing dinner. I had a great time here!

Sehr Gastfreundlich und guter Ausgangspunkt für den Nationalpark

Guter Ausgangspunkt für Safari in den Udawalawe Nationalpark - nur 15 Minuter entfernt. Sympathische und freundliche Gastgeberfamilie. Sehr nette Begrüßung mit Tee und Kuchen. Der Sohn bietet Safari-Touren an und kennt sich generell gut aus. Leckeres Frühstück. Abendessen wird auch angeboten. Zimmer einfach aber sauber.

Haus etwas außerhalb und für Restaurants oder Ähnliches muss man mit dem Auto fahren - für uns keine Problem, weil wir mit eigenem Auto unterwegs waren.

Super séjour.

Super endroit au calme. Accueil avec jus de fruits frais excellent ! Grande chambre avec climatisation, moustiquaire et eau chaude. Très propre, super literie, oreillers moelleux.( On a savouré car juste avant, on en a eu des durs qui cassaient la nuque !) Plaids individuels pour dormir, le petit plus pour le confort. Le meilleur rice and curry du Sri Lanka. Un festin chaque soir. Petits déjeuners excellents et très copieux. Sheran, le fils de la famille, est aux petits soins et a plein de belles attentions. Nous avons fait avec lui un safari magique. C'est un très bon guide, calme et attentionné. Venez ici les yeux fermés ! Il nous a aussi vehiculés, au prix d'un tuk tuk, pour aller au Éléphant transit home et nous a attendus pour nous ramener. Plein de balades à pied sympathiques en pleine nature autour de la guest house. Bref, nous recommandons à 100%.

A nice room and a mother who cooks deliciously! 🙂

Moooom! 🙂 I'll start with her, because her cooking is so delicious that I must admit that after 3 weeks in Sri Lanka, I have never eaten such good food anywhere else as here! 👍 Really 🙂 Large portions and there's even beer available, and it's all at a reasonable price, so there's absolutely no point in looking for food in the area. The owner Sheran has his own off-road vehicle and arranges everything for Safari. He speaks English very well, which is useful when we meet some animals, because he talks beautifully about them, and not all of these drivers do that! Nice room with a clean bathroom with hot water, air conditioning and everything you need. I highly recommend it! 👍

Safari génial et famille adorable

Sheran et ses parents nous ont accueilli comme à la maison. Petits-déjeuners copieux et dîner très bon! Chambre confortable, spacieuse avec eau chaude. Le safari avec Sheran était super, il nous laissait le temps de bien observer les animaux et nous expliquait des choses intéressantes sur la faune et la flore. Il est passionné! Il a l'œil pour repérer les animaux. On recommande ce logement et le safari avec lui, pas besoin de prendre un guide en plus sur place.

Great experience at Pearl White House. Very close to the Uda Walawe National Park. Sheran wasnt there but his parents took very good care of us and his friend for the safari. The breakfast was good. Amazing value for money.

Incredible welcoming host who wants to make sure you feel like home.The room was clean & Comfortable.The dinner & breakfast really nice. Really nice room given the price. Great safari, not cheap but still reasonably priced.

The host and his family were very welcoming and overall extremely friendly. The food was delicious. The offered safari was informative and Sheran (host+safari guide) was knowledgeable about all the animals in the park. He also drove closer to them than other drivers. Overall a very nice stay + an insane safari, would come again!

Maybe one thing that could be improved: In the night we saw that the bedsheet was moving and we laid almost on the mattress. A larger bedsheet may be nice ;)

Just a perfect stay

Sheran and his mother are just lovely. The food is amazing so we really recommend you to take your meal at the house. They played a lot with our kid which was so nice. You can also book your safari directly with Sheran for Uda Walawe, we had an amazing experience.

Great people, great food, great stay

As the other comments say, it was a pleasure being here. The hosts are so nice, they will help you with anything you need. You absolutely need to try the food here (dinner, breakfast), it’s the best food we had in Sri Lanka Sheran did us the safari in the National Park, it was great, and he is such a cool guy. I hope we’ll have the chance to come back there or to see again elsewhere!

Best stay for us in Sri Lanka!

The Family was very friendly. Sheran was our Host and Safari Tour Guide. He took much time for us and was very helfpul. The breakfast was delicious. The room was big and very clean. There is also a chill area outside the room. Perfect stay for Safari in Udawalawa! This was for us the best accomodation in Sri Lanka!

They should charge more for the night! ;)

Sheron was very helpful and always available. His mother makes excellent food. The brunch was copious and delicious. Sheron took us on the safari where we stopped many elephants and got really close to them.

Very nice Family! Sheran speaks a very good English, and his mom is a great cooker! Always ready to help, we could borrow bikes and plan a safari with them and it was perfect! Truly recommended to spend your time in Udawalawe.
