Absolut empfehlenswert

Wir kamen wegen der Empfehlung in einem bekannten Reiseführer und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Wir wurden herzlich empfangen und hatten eine wunderschöne Safari mit dem Gastgeber. Er kennt den Park wirklich und hat mit uns abseits der üblichen Pfade eine tolle Tour gemacht. Das selbstgekochte Abendessen der Gastgeberin auf der Seeterrasse war dann ein toller Abschluss für den Tag. Am nächsten Morgen gab es dann noch ein reichhaltiges Frühstück und wir konnten uns im See erfrischen.

Die Zimmer sind einfach eingerichtet und es ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, darüber sollte man sich bewusst sein. Uns hat es nicht gestört, denn das positive Erlebnis hat definitiv überwogen.

Schönes kleines Guesthouse am See - super Safari-Tour

Sehr liebevolles kleines Guesthouse direkt an einem kleinen See. Toller Blick aus dem Balkonzimmer. Die Inhaberin kocht lecker, Frühstück und Abendessen beides wirklich gut. Die Zimmer sind einfach und zweckmäßig, sehr sauber. Die Elefanten-Waisenstation kannmit den hauseigenen Fahrrädern besucht werden. Der Inhaber fährt die Safari-Tour mit eigenem 4Wheeler. Wir haben eine Abendtour mit vielen Tieren gehabt, natürlich Elefanten, aber auch Wildschweine, Hirsche, Krokodile, Adler und vieles mehr. Unser Gastgeber fährt sehr umsichtig und hat nach unserer Einschätzung viel Dschungel-Erfahrung und ein super Auge. Vieles hätten andere nicht gesehen.

Kraftort, preisleistungserwartung übertroffen ❤️

Die wunderschöne Lage am See in dem wir auch schwimmen konnten, es war perfekt um aufzutanken es ist ein richtiger Kraftort❤️ liebevolle Gastgeber und auch die Safari wurde grossartig von Samanta gemacht❣️

Dass wir schon wieder weiterreusen musdten😅

Tolle Safari, Unterkunft direkt an einem See

Die Unterkunft liegt direkt an einem See. Die Inhaber sind sehr herzlich. Wir sind mit dem Eigentümer auf Nachmittagssafari in den Udawalawe-Nationalpark gegangen. Er wirkte sehr erfahren und wir haben dadurch sehr viele Tiere, besonders Elefanten, gesehen. Es war ein tolles Erlebnis. Das Abendessen in der Unterkunft war sehr gut und das Frühstück konnten wir mit Blick auf den See genießen. Die Zimmer waren recht einfach, aber für einen Safariausflug ausreichend.

Direkt am Seeg elegenes Haus, tolle Angebote für Jeepsafari

absolut reichhaltig und sehr lecker. Samantha, der Besitzer ist bekannt dafür, dass er extrem gut geführte Jeep Safaris in den Nationalpark selbst (er selbst fährt den Jeep)anbietet. Ich habe mit ihm eine 7 Stunden Jeepsafari gemacht und kann sagen, dass das absolut empfehlenswert ist. Wir haben Unmengen von Tieren (darunter 40-50 Elefanten) gesehen - Samantha ist klasse! Auch die dafür angebotenen Preise sind sehr moderat und liegen unter den sonstigen Angeboten vor Ort . Ich kann jedem nur empfehlen, in dieses guesthouse zu gehen!

Nice and clean room with a very nice and polite host!

Me and a friend booked the room for one night to do a safari at the Udawalawe National Park and simultaneously booked the safari over the Lake View Lodge which worked really well. The communication went smooth and our host was so nice, polite and helpful. We were greeted personally and got some tea on arrival. The room was very clean and we really enjoyed our stay. Thank you for the very nice service, we will definitely recommend this place! Unfortunately it was raining heavily on the day of our arrival so we did not get to swim in the lake directly next to the lodge which our host mentioned on the next day! Additionally, our driver for the safari was really polite and nice!

Warm and inviting place to stay.

Quiet location set on a lake. Had breakfast looking out over the water, so serene. They organised a safari so was easy. The driver was experienced and knew the movement of the animals so we saw lots of elephants without harassing them. Lovely couple that own the hotel. Food was delicious and so much.

Exceptional

I loved the experience of staying in a traditional Srilankian guesthouse inside the forest and next to a beautiful lake! The hosts are a nice couple, so kind and approachable, ready to help us with anything. Unfortunately we didn't do the safari with them, but they can really take care of the safari part as well by organizing everything for you in a logical and competitive price!!! Also the food was very nice! Thank you for everything!
