Pleasant stay . Would return if needing to visit the area

Friendly reception and staff throughout . Very accommodating of our elderly dog. Found a phone charger for our use after we'd forgotten ours! Food was of good quality and served promptly.

Friendly staff. Excellent gluten free pizza. The accommodation was exactly as I expected - clean, comfortable and spacious. Freshly cooked breakfast made to order.

Amazing value for money

The staff were very friendly and the food was excellent. I ate in the bar in the evening and had a delicious, reasonably-priced meal. Breakfast was also really delicious with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Yorkshire tea in the room and fresh milk in a fridge on the landing was a really nice touch. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean and looked as good as new. The bed was really comfortable.

The WiFi in the bedroom was excellent at the vanity desk by the door, but less convincing further into the room. Some herbal tea in the room would have been welcome.

Fabulous!

Fabulous! Perfect location just outside Plymouth for overnight stay before ferry to Spain. Clean, lovely decor, large rooms, gorgeous bathroom, fabulous food, dog friendly, everything perfect!! Thank you so much!

Clean, accessible, great value for money with kind staff and great quality food and drink.

Brilliant location, set up well, had access to all we needed. Lovely clean room. Thoughtful staff with great customer service facilitating ours and our pets needs. Fantastic and varied food. Warm and inviting, secure and picturesque. Great value for money - we will definitely be coming again!

Wish we could’ve stayed longer!

Stayed one night here. Lovely period building in very good condition. Warm and cosy. Comfortable room (room 6 at rear of property) with great modern en-suite shower room. Booked a table for evening meal, very well presented and great service from friendly staff. Excellent cooked breakfast offerings. They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we wanted.

Staff were very friendly and helpful with local information. Room ( 4 ) extremely comfortable and clean. Coffee and tea facilities in room excellent. Breakfast menu extensive and very enjoyable Highly recommended

We enjoyed our one night stay and would have no hesitation in recommending.

We were in the “cosy double” which was an attractively furnished room, with what looked like a recently decorated en-suite, and was in immaculate condition. The lady who greeted us, and later looked after us for dinner, was very friendly and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed. Even though the pub was full with diners, service was excellent, and the food enjoyable. A nice touch was a little fridge outside the bedrooms, containing small bottles of fresh milk, so we could make tea and coffee in our room, avoiding the use of long-life sachets. The choice of cooked breakfasts was very good, and well cooked.

lovely stop over stay. there is a nice walk up to the church and round the country lanes.

Breakfast was lovely. We also had dinner in the restaurant which was very good. I had the haddock and chips which was lovely and my other half had the burger which he said was also very good. The sticky toffee pudding was excellent!

Cosy, inviting, beautiful food, lovely staff and the comfiest of beds!

It was very cosy- when we arrived the log burners were lit, candles on the tables and fairy lights. Coming in from a wet and windy November day that was very inviting We received a warm welcome and quick check in. The bed was so comfortable, like sleeping on a cloud ☁️

Nothing to dislike, but we only had coffee in our room and it would have been nice to have a selection of teas.

Room was cozy and homey, staff/owners were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful, and breakfasts were exceptional, as we could order whatever we liked from the breakfast menu, which was then freshly cooked. I selected eggs Florentine each morning and was delighted with the quality.

Excellent breakfast also a fine evening meal. Staff were professional and welcoming. The bathroom was well equipped with very stylish bath and separate shower. The village musicians had a jaming session in one of the pub rooms, tuneful and just completed the atmosphere..

A peaceful stay with a yummy breakfast

I wanted to have a stop on the drive to Cornwall, this was perfect as it is super close to the M5 but also feels so peaceful and calm! The room was lovely and spacious and the breakfast was amazing too! The car park isn’t huge however there is enough space for the guests! I am very envious of the Thursday pizza night!

The only negative is hearing creaky floors from other people around you however it is an older building so I can’t complain. They do not serve food on Sunday evening and Monday all day which is useful to know - you can still get a drink!

A very enjoyable stay with very friendly & helpful staff.

Very welcoming, very clean and excellent location for cricket in Taunton. Fabulous breakfasts!

We found the mattress in room 3 somewhat sagging and noisy (possibly needs replacing?) however the room facilities and en suite were excellent.
