Rooms were dirty and not maintained properly. BAD

The host. She was nice. She allowed me to leave my suitcase in the storage while I went out in the city looking for clean room. Anfritonia my gentil y me permitio dejar mis maletas mientras busaba cuarto limpio.

The attendant was nice but not knowledgeable about Trujillo. The place looked not maintained at all (homeless place) and very dirty with dusty sheets and smelling odors. The shared bathroom was also dirty. They charge for towels. So surprise and very disappointed! El Lugar estaba muy sucio con mucho polvo y mal olor. Las sabanas sucias. El bano igual de sucio cobran por uso de toallas. FUE UNA PESADILLA!

Won't stay again

Clean bed, but nothing all, the WiFi was good and great location. With this price , better paid 10 USD more and get a private room and proper hotel

No hot water, very dirty tables. There were tables to sit but all of them were full of dust and dirty. the staff don't bother to take few minutes to clean it, I don't understand how hard is that. The male dorm was very smelly and lack of ventilation, no fans nothing. The facilities were not good and bad conditions. They just used guest to get money and sustain their living , lack of responsibility.

price is ok, but there’s better option with similar price

no hot water in shower there’s other people in the ‘communal area’ until late as I guess the hostel is also a cafe/restaurant the owner using the kitchen a lot

It's 2 minutes walk from the main square. They have lockers.

Sometimes, especially at evenings there was no water, you need to ask to have it. Too small pillow. The water could be a little warmer.

Very close to city center, right next to the plaza de armas

Very poor soundproofing so it was always noisy, bathroom and kitchen weren't as clean. Overall it was pretty run-down as well.

Very centric location and low price.

The stay is a bit uncomfortable. The room doesn't have plugs and all of them are next one of the beds. The shared areas (living room with a TV, dining table and kitchen) seem like a family house and it makes you feel a bit like an outsider. Hot water unreliable and bathroom far from the bedroom.

Very nice and cozy stay. Great host.

The host is very flexible and accommodating our schedule. She let us stay longer while waiting for a night bus and we could use the kitchen longer as well. The room and bathrooms were clean.

Not much but maybe the fact that there were some local families in the lounge cooking all day.

Be careful, on Booking, it is written 8$ for a bedroom of 2, whereas in reality, it's 8$ per bed and night! The Hostal is alright, but the price doesn't worth it and doesn't correspond to booking's information

Fabulous

Very basic but very good value for the price. Everything was clean. The room had very high ceilings which helped against the heat and stuffiness. The staff is helpful for all your needs(taxi, tips, buses). This is a very quiet hostel without a bar or anything if you travel alone this is not the best place to meet people but definitely recommendable for a quiet night.
