Disappointing

The room was clean and, all in all, our stay was alright. There was a problem with the sink, that was totally clogged up, that was not solved even after we mentioned the issue. So, we could not use it and we’re surprised, because we thought this place was a little fancier than this. The most unpleasant thing, however, is that we forgot our toothbrush charger in the room after the check out and tried to get in touch with the host, so to coordinate and take it back. We would have either organised the picking up or we could have returned to the place in 2 days, and physically take it. It was impossible as we didn’t receive a single reply to our many messages. The host was so helpless we felt scammed; I’m sorry but communication is the very basic and even a small support for this problem would be the minimum they could have done.

Could be nicer. Needs clean white linens. Get rid of the trashy wire clothes hangers.

Fundamentally a nice place. Good shower and bathrooms.

Dirty / stained sheets on bed.

The perfect place

The location, the owner(he is the best), the villas are full with all the equipment you will need.

Nothing bad to say, only that there isn’t a parking space for the villas, you will have to search for it . I usually found one after 2-4 min

A charming hotel in a charming town but it lacked support staff onsite when there was a problem.

The location was centrally located to the our itinerary. The place itself is very charming and is not like anywhere else we have stayed.

Owner does not speak English. No one met us upon arrival. There was a problem with locking the door and we spent more than an hour trying to get that resolved. Also, as with many hotels in this area, the rooms are not air-conditioned and our room was a bit musty.

The location was very good. Style of the room was quirky. Furniture and bed was comfortable.

Jacuzzi mentioned with the property was empty and not working. Kitchen area was very basic and no seating area.

It was OK, but could have been much better had the host put more effort into it.

Location; apartment was relatively comfortable, nice shower

Poor heating & lighting; very limited essential supplies (toilet paper, paper towels); the host left no way of contacting him - except messaging with Booking.com, which he barely used. Garbage never removed.

Exceptional

Beautiful building with stone walls and lots of character inside. Very private and quiet. Our room had the nicest carpet I've ever walked on. Yohann the host, is extremely helpful.

The place itself physically is perfect. WiFi and horrible odor are why they didn’t get a 10 rating.

Very nice little place. Clean and perfect for my needs.

HORRIBLE WiFi and I would of known this if I read previous reviews. It’s pretty much non existent. And there is a bad smell like a rat died in the walls. It is an old building so I took that into consideration, but it was pretty bad that I almost bought a candle.

Nice accommodation, but no internet the entire stay.

Nice spacious room, modestly but classily furnished. The kitchen was tiny in the room we were assigned so we ate out for all our meals.

No internet while we were there either night. Owner and/or property responded to our texts the first night, but did not respond the second day or night. We correctly entered the password, but it seemed the router was the problem. As we were in the middle of a business transaction, it was really not acceptable and made for our stay to be disappointing.

Great location, right near the cathedral and a short walk to Main Street, only 15 minute walk from the train station. It had fully equipped with all kitchen essentials.

Quiet location close to excellent restaurants

Interestingly, the door code and the apartment number combined for my exact birthdate. A bit freaky but I guess I was meant to stay there! It is a beautiful building with a lot of character. It was very comfortable and easy access to many restaurants and a lovely view out of the window of the Cathedral spires. The owner met me there and helped me with my suitcase up the stairs, which I greatly appreciated. I picked up a few groceries and made my own breakfasts. There are dishes, utensils, and also dish detergent and a dish rack for clean-up.

You do have to be careful on the spiral staircase, particularly with a heavy suitcase. There is a railing and a rope to assist. I boiled tap water for morning tea and I wasn't sure about the film in the water. I still drank it and it tasted fine, but it was disconcerting to see. Although there were directions about the jacuzzi, I did not use it as it appeared to be drained.

Very centrally located, clean, quiet. Would definately stay again.

Location is awesome. Very clean.

More informed of steps, no lyft. Parking was public parking on availability. Would stay here again just would appreciate knowing these things beforehand. Would also appreciate English speaking channels on TV like CNN just to catch some global news.

Loved Bayaux , easy walk to everything there. Parking close by

Breakfast wasn't included . The apartment was very roomy; 3 rooms, bedroom, kitchenette and bathroom. Old beautiful building with old fireplace in bedroom (non-working) Beautiful modern shower. Very secure lock with heavy dor.

Iight in kitchen was motion controlled and didn't stay on long enough to finish what you were doing; had to move around to get it to come back on which would have been maddening if staying longer than a couple of days. No wine glasses

A quiet and restful stay in a comfortable property.

it was in a wonderful location in Bayeux, close to the cathedral and the shops and restaurants. Our host met us promptly at the property and was really helpful. The property was very clean and spacious and we found everything there that we needed for our stay. This property is excellent value for money and we would recommend it for a couple on a short break.

Relaxing and central location.

Breakfast not included. Central location brilliant. Picked up keys by accident really as communicated with host via email and text but he didn't set a time. However he was there when we arrived and was very helpful and friendly. No problems.

Nice place for a short break

Fantastic position, we never met the owner but communication was very good and answered all questions via text very quickly

The kitchen was basic, which didn't bother us as we had no intention of actually cooking , coffee machine was good but very stingy on the pods.. 4? Really? And some milk would have been nice Didn't like the automatic light to the kitchen because if one of us got up to the toilet in the night it came on and woke the other But being very picky here, was superbly clean and perfect for a short stop over

Beautiful facility and location!

The location is fantastic, within walking distance to many markets and tourist attractions. The property and those around it have the traditional French style and charm. The area is very quaint and inviting. The apartment was extremely quiet and we had no idea if there were others staying there or not. The contactless check in was easy and worked perfectly. Yohann was very responsive and helpful.

We would have appreciated air conditioning in our apartment. It wasn't terribly hot, but it was humid from the age of the property, but also the shower, which is open with no door. While it may be aesthetically pleasing, we found it to be very impractical, splashing water all over the floor.

Superb

A lovely apartment in the perfect location close to shops, cafes, restaurants. A small kitchenette but has everything you need. Host was very welcoming and helpful. Will definitely book again when we return.

Don't like to be picky as everything else was spot on, only thing was the pillows were really lumpy.

We loved the stone walls and the rain shower. Loved the view from the windows and how everything was so clean. Yummy coffee and so walkable to everything we wanted to see. We will definitely be back. Thanks for everything.

Lovely quirky comfy stay, well equipped and located.

Cute, comfortable and roomy. Easy motorcycle parking on quiet road outside. Didn’t see any staff but auto access worked well and messaging easy. Short stroll to main restaurants. Comfy bed.

Hot tub was a nice surprise😁, but drained down😟. Kitchen light auto timer was a bit short! Coffee machine didn’t work properly. No milk or whitener. Nit picking.
