It is less than a 2 hour drive to all Orlando area attractions including Kennedy Space Center, Disney World, Universal Studios and Sea World. We want to say thank you to Peggy and Russie and Skip for being so lovely and hosting our family of 6 (two adults and four children in a wide age range). This was really well equipped and a lot of extras I would not have expected but really appreciated. The location could not be beat and it made it easy for us to have a lot of family beach time, and for anyone to take a break from the sun back at the house when needed, too. We had gone back and forth between renting a condo and renting a beachfront property, and when we found this place, we were sold. It is an absolute gem; the yard with the chairs that overlook the beach/ocean and how close we were to the beach were fantastic. The house is very nice and cleanly, and we had 5 adults and 1 child with us, and the house was spacious enough for all of us. The owner is super friendly and checks in occasionally, but also provides you with upcoming things like a shuttle/rocket launch, which was a nice touch. Everything was perfect; my parents and little sister came down from NY to visit with me and my family, and we just had a really wonderful time from start to finish. Don't let this rental pass you by!

The home is a part of a small private neighborhood - this one being right on the beach. It is very clean and the common areas are all recently remodeled, with a touch of vintage design still apparent. The owners Gordon and Cathy are meticulous about their property, and it shows in how well the property is maintained. The house perfectly met our needs, with a beautiful front bedroom facing the sea, a second bedroom that perfectly accommodated our young toddler, and another back bedroom with a private bath. The common areas, living, dining, and kitchen spaces were great. The house is well-stocked with everything you would need as a visitor - beach towels, chairs, and toys, kitchen supplies, and all kinds of thoughtful details and extras. Great place and great hosts.

The house was the perfect size for our group of six (4 adults, 2 elementary aged kids). The kitchen was well stocked, and there were beach chairs and toys for us to borrow as well. Just a short walk across the yard to the gate to access the beach. Definitely hope to return!

This was a wonderful place. Can’t beat being this close to the ocean. The property and home are very well maintained and has everything we needed inside and out. Communication with the host was great and they gave us many suggestions for dining, stores and things to do in the area. The locals in the area are very friendly and welcoming. A true Florida home experience. GREAT location and less then 40 steps to the beach. We have never stayed so close. The house for us was perfect. They have everything we needed for a wonderful stay. Gordon was in constant communication with us from the time of making the reservation until check out. The small neighborhood was quite and everyone was super friendly. We will stay again.

This is our 4th time at Home by the Sea. The name is exactly how we feel about this place, at Home. We have already booked our stay for next year. The house is steps from the beach. We visit in April and the beach has never been crowded. This week we watched kite surfers, surfers, paddle boarders, dolphins, pelicans and I swear I thought I saw a whale tail. We spent hours soaking up sunshine, warmth and recharging. So great to be right at the the beach and not have to to lug all the things. Gordon and Cathy are excellent hosts and are great at communication. They are a pleasure to work with. We are counting down the days till we will be Home by the Sea again.

Beautifully renovated property and fully stocked with towels, kitchen ware, beach chairs, etc. The additional outdoor shower was great! We practically had the whole beach to ourselves. Clean sand and water... No weeds! Minutes from dining and shopping. We never had to wait to be seated at a restaurant, which is rare for spring break! Gordon made checking in and out easy and was quick to respond if I had a question. And the VIEW. Wow! It was a wonderful week and we hated to leave.

This was our second year in Gordon & Cathy’s Home by the Sea and we loved it even more this year than last. The location and view are unbeatable! The kitchen is well stocked for cooking, baking, and hanging out on the island/ counter for games at night. The recliners are a fan fave to watch TV at night as well. The property is CLEAN and well cared for. Plenty of beach accessories as well! We will return again to Home by the Sea!

Can't say enough about what a great property this is! Direct oceanfront with private beach access from the yard. Literally steps to the sand. There were lots of little extras (beach chairs, umbrellas, towels, etc.). Walking distance to several great restaurants, shops and grocery store. Gordon is a fabulous host who made us feel very welcome and gave lots of suggestions for local activities. We'll definitely be back. Very highly recommend!
