Very good

The room was really amazing. Really nice swimming pool. Daily BBQ was good. Beach bar, hammaks, tables and chairs were brilliant. Good vibe in general.

Non BBQ food was not that good, also although offering food "a la carte" some simple dishes or even some slices of toast are only offered at certain time of the day. Restaurant staff made a mistake with one of our orders and then made us pay extra for it. For non BBQ food highly recommend the local restaurant that's just next door, food is amazing and it's really cheap and and the staff is very professional. Was there for 4 days and apparently they were fully booked for diving, not even availability for one dive. Some works were going on so had lots of noise as from 9am.

Hospitality of the staff. They went great deal in securing beach activity for us when most others are fully booked.

Breakfast choices is not great. Understaff for breakfast arrangement.

Room service and facilities are extremely poor. Curtain problem, intercom not functional, bathroom door lock was broken, no breakfast with MYR 900/night room, resort phone doest not work/ no attendent, and etc

will love to go back there and spend some more time on there awesome resort,

some of the amazing staff I have seen in a while in a resort, especially the guys working at the restaurant bar are awesome, the place itself is awesome with the most spectacular beach in the island, we stayed there for 3 nights and it was just fantastic. I think you can’t find a better place in this island then Barat Tioman.

spoil our vacation mood

the environment is nice

not systematic, booked for 3 nights and 4 days, but they force us to check out the next day itself because its a monsun season there… they promise the HQ will do the refund accordingly, but when i contact the HQ they claim they were not aware of the situation and can only do the refund according to the refund procedures… i disagree with them cause the cancellations is initiated by us… they still dragging the issue and at last i have to get booking.com to involve in this issue

We would come again to Barat hotel.Location is good.You can reach a beautiful waterfall by foot.

We stayed in a villa with jacuzzi near jungles.The view was nice.We could observe sunrise from our terrace.The room was clean.It was always quiet on the top cause the pool,lobby and restaurant are downstairs.Staff was friendly.The beach is quiet,big and good.

Nothing was bad.The food was better,than in other hotel which we visited before on the island.

Think twice if you want to stay here

Property was located right by the beach. It was pretty clean and pretty well maintained.

The journey from the jetty to the hotel was pretty horrendous. We paid for hotel transport 60RM each but we were not told that transport was shared and some of us had to sit outside in the pick up - which was not the most comfortable as the journey was pretty rough and lasted about 30 minutes. This was the same for the transport from the hotel to the jetty upon departure There was only one restaurant at the property. We were informed that the restaurant closed at 10pm and last order was 9.30pm. However, when we went there at 9pm to place an order for dinner, they told us that they were closed as they had to cater buffet for a function. Super ridiculous… then what about guests who were not part of the function and wanted ala carte? The same thing happened the next morning, breakfast ordered started at 7.30am but when I went to place my order, I was told that they could only serve us at 8am as they were preparing for the buffet. One thing I’ve learnt was that this property is great at neglecting guests who weren’t there on company function and not taking their buffets. The food is not the cleanest, we got food poisoning on the last day there and it was the worst experience ever.

A lot of ant in the room . Buffet dinner verity too little . Desert did not provide proper tool . Using glass instate of bowl . Spoken to staff but did not get the acknowledgment to correct it . This is the area of improvement.

Toilet quit dirty The water in the toilet does not work..Call maintainance & settled. Stayed for 3D 2N, no added mineral drink for next day. Not cleaned the room for the next day also.

Slightly above expectation.

Overall cleanliness is good. Room space is good. Electricity supply is great for an island resort. Pool front rooms are great.

The wifi doesnt work with a big crowd in the resort. The pool water is over done with clorine and it gave my son a skin rash. Would be great if you can have more staffs to help out.

Bad experience at Tioman Island

nothing special and highlight of the resort

The resort not really clean and dirty, especially the bed and pillow. The resort electricity are not stable and the fuse keep tripping during day and midnight. The food is not good as well, recommend the next door resort “1511 coconut resort” their food is really delicious! The reception staff are friendly and helpful, except the only one lady staff from activities center was very rude!

Overall acceptable stay . I think the wifi in room need to be improve . Basic tv program is a must

Staff are friendly , food wise is decent , beach front which is important .

1) the room is rather run down and old . 2) Stain on the bedsheets. 3) No TV programs ( need to request for hard disk to watch movies ) 4) Poor / no wifi in room . Only 3G is available in room which is very slow . 5) No toiletries available n need to request 6) No room service so room is not clean unless request from 3-5pm only

Beautiful view with bad food

The view was amazing. The staff accommodating. Good service. Laundry service was excellent. The beach was nice.

The run-down facilities. Everything needed to be fixed or updated. Bistro food was over priced and made from packaged food, which made us eat at the local places instead, which was awesome.

Improvement needed

The room was big, view quite nice. The front desk & spa staff very nice and helpful. The snorkeling package value for money.

The restaurant staffs treat people differently between foreigner and local people. They treated foreigner very well and served their food faster eventhough they were ordered food later than us. When we raised hand to order food, no staff came for us and we had been waiting 1 hour for our food and yet not even 1 staff reached out to us.Definitely won't visit this restaurant again.
