Our beautiful townhome is located in the unique village of Point Venture. Point Venture is on Lake Travis, 20 miles northwest of Austin in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. Lake Travis is 44,000 acres of cool, clean, fun - full of many areas to swim, relax, or engage in boating/jet-skiiing/fishing/etc.
You can enjoy picturesque views of the lake while lounging on our largest deck or walk down a gentle slope to jump in for a swim. You can also have a great time watching the wildlife, especially the deer that roam around and eat corn nearly out of your hand! The upper deck is very spacious and contains a weber gas grill, a patio table, gas fire pit & chairs.
Our town-home is a newly remodeled two-story waterfront home. We have three bedrooms, two full baths, and two outdoor decks. The place will accommodate up to 8 people. The master suite has 2 queen-sized beds, and a private bath and deck. The other downstairs bedroom has a bunk bed with a full on the bottom and twin on the top. The 3rd bedroom (on the main level) has a KING sized bed with an unattached bathroom.
You will have access to the gated 50-acre waterfront park which has two boat ramps, a children's playground, basketball and volleyball courts, picnic tables, BBQ pits, and pavilion. You rarely have to wait to launch your boat. And when lake levels are low, the waterfront park becomes the most popular weekend hangout thanks to the expansive sandy beach that appears. Fun for the whole family!
There are many activities to choose from in the gated community of Point Venture. We have exclusive golf discounts for our guests at the Point Venture Golf Club, a 9-hole public golf course with a driving range, putting green, and pro shop. We also have a Jr. Olympic size pool (closed on Mondays), tennis courts, and basketball courts that are right down the road, a short golf cart ride away.
The Point Venture Marina, located a short drive down the road, provides a fuel dock, a store, and a restaurant/bar on the Lake. Watercraft rentals are located at the Marina as well. Be sure to check out the live bands and feed the fish off of the side of the restaurant! The amount and size of the fish on the top of the water will astonish you!

Property was perfect for our group of extended family. Good use of limited space. We were well aware Lake Travis was super low. It made for good hiking and quiet times. Youngest enjoyed the arcade style games in the bedroom. Only one bedroom is on the main floor, if you have anyone in your group with mobility issues.

The house and everything around us met every need we had. It was an awesome weekend. Will definitely come back.

We left the rental the night we arrived. Not at all as advertised. It smelled, was 80 degrees in the small unit. The railings on the balconies were broken and dangerous with nails exposed and rotted wood. It was advertised as lakefront and lake view, neither were true. It was not modern nor luxurious. Tiny. We were planning a 5 day lake relaxation. To get to any water, you had to drive. Could have done that from home. The advertised video games were in a nook in the small bunk room that had no windows or fan. We would call that room a closet. We contacted the property manager to let him know we had left. We hoped to maybe receive some sort of payment concessions due to our extreme displeasure and loss of our vacation funds, but did not happen. We won’t trust VRBO again.

This was the best getaway with fun all around us. We didn’t even know how close we were to the beach if James hadn’t called to check on us the day after arrival - we caught such a great sunset. All the beds and rooms were clean and the primary shower was awesome - plenty of water pressure to get all the dirt /clay/sand out after the windstorm got us just as we were leaving after sunset. We had no groceries - that would be the only downside - but I didn’t plan for that and I would bring snacks next time because the drive into town is a bit long. Lago donuts made the drive worth it once we figured it all out. Thanks - we hope to visit again.

Very comfortable stay. Property manager is amazing!! Beds SUPER comfy!! Although very hard to see a lake view, we enjoyed the trees and birds. Deck and railing need some attention, but other than that, the home had everything you possibly could need!! The decor was really nice and it was easy to sit in front of the windows and relax, not to mention, sitting on the deck with the fire pit when it got cool out! Thank you!!

Wonderful home and location. House was immaculate, clean and updated. Comfortable beds and new linens. Home was stocked with everything one might need to enjoy your stay. Relaxing views from deck and great location to enjoy walks amongst the deer. Everything was as described and even better. Highly recommend!

Beautiful and comfortable
My family and I spent the weekend enjoying lake activities and found this place to be convenient and comfortable. You really get a sense of being home after a long day outdoors. The community is very friendly and welcoming.

The condo was nice for our family of four.
Pros: clean, nice sheets and towels, kitchen stocked well for cooking (and nearby restaurants limited, but there’s a decent grocery store), AC worked very well, quiet, water view (but not likely to traverse the brush to enter water and there’s better access at the private Point Venture access), two levels each with a TV if desired, parking immediately in front of condo, full sized washer/dryer, pet friendly, cell reception good, access to the private Point Venture park via key card provided, a nine hole golf course w driving range and a food truck (not open while we were there), marina (Liquid Thrillz - book early, quite limited), Gnarly Gar (outdoor covered dining, lunch/dinner, mediocre food), wonderful property manager, JT.
Cons: square high top dining table seats 4 (unable to follow through w dinner plans inviting one friend to dinner because the 5 of us wouldn’t fit at the table), master bedroom downstairs has 2 queen beds w en-suite (nicest bathroom) and access to laundry room; add indicates you can take a water taxi over to Lakeway (marina, dining, etc., which you can easily see from PV as it’s not far, but there hasn’t been a water taxi in years); nearby dining we tried mediocre (Gnarly Gar & Lake Highland Grill), Wi-Fi is slow at times and there was an unexpected outage for several hours one day during the week due to a solar flare.
We really enjoyed the private access to the PV park, where you can walk the shoreline, swim (water level was up, bring water shoes as it’s rocky), play disc golf, playground, boat ramp, etc. The golf course was nice. Access to boats and jet skis was nice. There’s also access to a community swimming pool, fitness center and tennis courts. All amenities are less than one mile from condo. Going to town to CVS, Lowe’s grocery store, Sonic, etc. is a 7 mile drive.
All in all a nice stay in a somewhat secluded community with nice lake amenities!

We had such a great time in Point Venture. The property was in a good location to get to a near by park and the main park with a boat launch. Julia was extremely quick to answer any questions we had. Thanks for a great stay.

This place was amazing! Easily fit our group of 8 and the dog. Spent most of our time outside on the huge patio overlooking the lake, it was so pretty drinking our morning coffee and relaxing. Just what I needed! The host was awesome and quick to answer the questions we had. I won’t hesitate to book again!

We enjoyed our stay there so much we added an extra night. And ended up staying for 4 nights. We had our dogs with us and they enjoyed getting walked down to the lake, although it was a little difficult holding the leash while carrying stuff down to the beach for a small campfire by the lake when they saw the deer and wanted to go play. They would also watch the deer from the upper balcony and the boy would cry because he wanted to play so bad.
It was relaxing to sit by the lake and fish or just up on the balcony in the early morning or evening.
If you walk to the lake you'll get plenty of exercise along with going up and down the stairs, but it's worth it.
There was plenty of places nearby to visit within 30min or so. Stores way closer and the Gnarly Gar right around the corner. The food is decent, not impressive, but their drinks are good.
The Oasis on Lake Travis is definitely worth the 30min drive. Sitting 450 feet above the lake your views are amazing!
We would recommend this place, the host is very responsive and helpful. Everything went smooth and we will come back again.
Just tried to get it for 4th of July while it's still April, but we probably should have tried at least 6 months in advance.
You won't regret your stay here!

Decent , comfortable place to stay
Overall we had a great stay here. The accommodations are comfortable and we had all the things we needed. The property was not close to the water, but there was a distant view from the patio. The place was top cleaned, but not deep cleaned and that would have been nice. There were some places that have been neglected ( like the downstairs patio area). It could use a little improvement, but certainly ws acceptable.

We had a GREAT stay! We were a party of 9 (2 couples and our 5 grandchildren); the townhouse had plenty of room w/everything we needed to enjoy a relaxing three days away from the hustle & bustle of life in the city. While we spent most of our time on the lake, we always looked forward to returning to the coziness of Julia's place. The rooms were spacious, the beds were very comfortable and the upstairs balcony has a beautiful lake view. Our granddaughters enjoyed all the games & especially loved spotting/naming the deer they saw daily right outside the master bedroom patio. As an owner, Julia was awesome! She promptly answered all our questions and followed up with me after our departure. We will definitely be returning in the near future!

Will first say I rarely trust 5* reviews - so I rarely give them unless absolutely nothing could have been better. That said, this was close to perfect. We loved the house - kids downstairs, adults up. We were there only for the weekend, but we used the tennis courts one morning, had a great lunch at the marina 2 minutes away and spent most of both days on the very nearby island park that is resident access only - not crowded at all. We regret not bringing our black lab on this trip as most of the handful of other park visitors had their dogs in tow. We brought ENOs and canoes and had a great time in the water. We had a minor challenge with the park mag card unavailable when we first arrived, but we worked through it with the owner and ended up with 0 real impact to our experience. Wifi wasn't super fast, but you're not in the city, so we weren't on electronics much anyway as most time was spent outdoors or on the sun deck.We would definitely look to come back when we get the chance.

My friends and I loved this cute place on Lake Travis this past weekend! We will absolutely be back again soon!!

Great family home !
Lovely place ! It felt like home . Great choice if you have kiddos. All kinds of board games and activities that kept them content while they were winding down from their fun in the sun on the beautiful lake Travis. And great for a group of friends getting together . House was very clean and the kitchen had everything you will need to prepare a meal. Pretty view of the lake from the balcony . It was easy access to the boat launch, which by the way we never had to wait . Will definitely be back .

Fantastic girls weekend
We had everything needed to have a comfortable relaxing weekend in the condo. The kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with all essentials. The living room is cozy but could accommodate 10 girls for a game night. Loved all the decor and the beds were nice and soft. We enjoyed feeding the deer and watching the sunset from the spacious deck. One night we made the short drive down to the Gnarly Gar for live music. Will be coming back again with the family soon!

Great Christmas Getaway
We just returned from a weekend with family at Point Venture on Lake Austin. It worked perfectly for us! Our family consisted of 8 adults and 2 children. We had more than the recommended number for 2 of the 3 nights but easily made it work with 2 inflatable mattresses. We allowed our very pregnant daughter-in-law and son to stay in the main level bedroom while our eldest son, wife and 2 children stayed in the Master suite. Our youngest newly married son and his wife were game to sleep on the floor mattress and Grandma and Grandad made out fine on the couch and fold out single. The separation of floor levels was perfect to allow the children a reasonable bedtime with the adults playing games around the dining room table. The dining room table seats 4 and there are 2 bar stools at the snack bar. I brought 4 extra folding chairs and a folding table so that we did not have to sit on the couches to eat. Worked great as we could fold it up to make room for the inflatable mattress.
It is hard to tell by the picture but the entire main level living area is linoleum flooring. I loved that because I did not worry about following everyone cleaning up a light colored carpet. Just required a quick sweep once or twice a day.
The kitchen is a real, full sized kitchen with all the necessary amenities for cooking for a family gathering. I brought a crock pot and there is a very nice gas grill so there were plenty of options that will help you feed a group. We also brought enough paper goods to keep cleaning to a minimum but there are basic kitchen utensils and dishes if you choose to use them.
2 full bathrooms were a must with our group. Showers worked great. We brought extra towels and washcloths but the closet was well stocked. Even used the washer/dryer unexpectedly.
There is a beautiful view of the lake and lights across the lake from the balcony as well as plenty of deer to watch. We also ate one meal out on the balcony on the patio furniture provided. Right now is off season for lake activities but we loved that it was quiet with plenty of paved walking opportunities or off road hiking. Carl, one of the owners, was easy to contact and made us feel welcome on our stay. He was able to timely answer all our questions and was very pleasant to work with.
All in all I would highly recommend this location for a comfortable gathering of 2-10 people. Our family made many happy Christmas memories. It fit our needs perfectly!

Great location to escape from the everyday life. The apartment was very clean and nice exactly as shown in the pictures, incl the deers :-) We had everything we needed.
