Good, location, very clean and nice little touches.

It was spotlessly clean and in a good location.

Just a minor thing there was no remote for the TV so it was difficult to change channels. The pictures on the website need updating because my colleague was surprised to see that he was staying in the conservartory.

Never again stay away save your money

Easy location

Shower was poor Bathroom door didnt open fully Internet was absolutely poor Too many foreigners More like a dhss hostel one of the worst ive stayed in It was a single room with 2 beds to make extra money maybe ok for some of the people living there but after a days work you expect a decent shower but it was poor no pressure

Excellent place - book it!

It felt like a hotel but better, the staff were amazing and so helpful. The facilities were great, the little added extra touches like hot chocolate, pain au chocolat, teas coffees water milk - amazing service! Free parking space, plus the netflix👍definitely recommended if you're visiting the local Jane Austen area, it was a perfect getaway and a stay at Wessex House - 10/10!

Lovely clean room,comfy bed everything you need 😊

Lovley room,very clean arrived to a selection of morning breakfast treats! Cereal,pain au chocolat,biscuits,oat bar & jams ! Kettle with tea,coffee,hot chocolate etc….fresh milk! Bowls plates cutlery,toaster,microwave etc! Apparently shop around the corner so you can eat in room instead of eating out! Had everything you needed for your stay! I wished I asked what brand the mattresses was and where it came from as it was so comfortable best sleep we have both had in ages 🙃check in was simple and plenty of parking in front drive! would defo stay here again if we are in the area! Book you won’t be disappointed (added 2 pics of room (not bathroom🤣 and one of the outside with my bike! )

Warm and cozy place to stay with a short walk from central railway station

The complimentary breakfast including the availability of water bottles, milk and beverages were good. The location was also near a grocery store and a restaurant. The rooms were very clean and enough towels, working heater and quite corridors were also appealing.

The shower was very slow with no pressure and no in house restaurant seemed a little problematic.

Breakfast bowl was filled every morning with various cereals croissants spreads plenty of coffee and tea could not of asked for more !!!

Better than I expected for the price!

It was very clean! Also I loved the good communication and the fact that you just got your key from a place and got to your room. No need to go to any reception to check in. There were thoughtful bits in the room like croissants, a wide selection of teas and coffee, Netflix.. all the things I never get from big 4 star hotels!

Clean and safe place to stay with extra little touches.

Nice, clean quiet stay. Access process was clear and easy to follow. The snacks and drinks left was amazing after a long drive, I didn't need to go out and hunt for something to eat which was a massive bonus. Lovely touch.

Not really a con as it was stupidly hot would have been amazing to have a fan in the room. A big mirror would be a nice touch too.

Clean and Comfy room few minor things that need looking at but perfect for short stays

Clean fresh bedding and towels and was lovely to see snacks and tea and coffee also toiletries Its a lovely house with alot going for it and am greatful for staying there but a few things listed below would help anyone else staying there.

Kettle needed descaling as full of limescale and made hot drinks taste off. Easily missed as im guessing kettles are used alot. Milk bottle had dried crusty milk on screw lid of bottle so didnt use it. Bath plug moves about the bath leaving a hole so if u didnt notice it it could have flooded the room below. Also the shower kept tripping everytime it was used for a few mins u had to pull the pull cord to turn it back on so looked like faulty switch. The string lights outside turned on at 11pm and even with the blinds and curtians closed it was very bright in the room... maybe blackout curtians would fix this or not have the lights right outside the windows.

A great little place to stay in a good location with some nice thoughtful touches.

I really liked the fresh milk, butter and water in the fridge. I also appreciated the breakfast box and the little kitchen area with microwave, toaster, kettle, kitchen roll, plates and cutlery. I unexpectedly needed to stay an extra night and I had an immediate helpful response from the owners. Everything was spotlessly clean and comfortable.

The water pressure for the shower was too low and needs some attention. Also the heated towel rail did not seem to be working. I was a bit surprised the tea/coffee/ towels etc weren’t stocked up every day. Also, I felt under pressure to leave earlier than the 10.30 check out time, but think that was probably because I was opposite the office and could hear the owner’s conversation.

Wouldn’t stay a long time one night was enough

Had 3 beds had some choices of cereal not what children liked and no decaf coffee

Room wasnt ready they swopped us to a room that was at the front with noisy road keeping us awake and had smaller fridge when arrived key wasn’t in box and having to talk to staff on intercom bell with children waiting wasn’t helpful

Good around place to stay.

Location was easy to get to, close to the main road and motorway, close to the town centre. Room was more than adequate in size and everything there you could want for, very clean and peaceful, parking right outside the room window, easy access for out of hours entry with the key safe codes being messaged on the day of arrival, worked well with good instructions. Very pleased, would stay again.

Very clean and basic daily needs are provided like mini fridge, milk and so on

The shower was out of work for both rooms. I spoke to other guests and they had the same issue. Now I have checked the comments and a number of customers have complained about the shower issue in the past. That means for me that they are not willing to address this issue. NEVER AGAIN!!

Exceptional

I liked that it was within 15 minutes walk from the train station. We had a room for three and it was perfect. It was a hot day when we arrived and there was three bottles of water in the fridge waiting for us, also a pint of milk for a cup of tea. A very kind member of staff also lent me a phone charger. The basket of breakfast goodies was wonderful. Thank you so much for a great stay. Added bonus is the pub next door.

Great place to stay

The location is great and staff really really friendly and welcoming. Great having the facilities in the room and free parking on site.

Thin walls in the property. The shower pressure is poor. Unfortunately (this is not the owners fault), but some people staying parked the wrong way round out the front, limiting and blocking spaces.
