Entry to the property is via gates and you need a key from the owner to enter. I had a little difficulty finding the property

Mom & Daughter on Tour

Great sized room, clean, complimentary toiletries, lovely big towels. Breakfast was fabulous - loads of choice & all delicious. WiFi was great so we could watch footie on SkyGo. Super happy!

Excellent location for our particular situation - a party of 8 people attending a wedding at nearby Carlton Towers Estat

Very well furnished, warm, clean and comfortable for a group of people who want to spend some quiet time together. Iain addressed all our needs and took very good care for us.

There was no common sitting area with soft furniture. I don’t think the layout of the property allows for such area and this did not affect our stay.

Very clean Owner very friendly and approachable . Good nights sleep in a peaceful location . Would stay in if again in the area . Nice village and nice local independent pub

No much not to like. I do prefer full breakfast service . However for the cost. The breakfast facilities were good .

Perfect stay

Clean, spacious, great location for nearby wedding. Spotless room. Great shower. Breakfast was lovely, self service with loads of choice. Friendly host and great communication, helped us find local taxis etc.

An exceptional B&B

Very easy to find, and our host was really friendly and helpful. The parking is very secure. The complex is really lovely, inside and out. The room is well provided with two chairs and desk. The little patio is a great bonus. We enjoyed sitting out. The breakfast was full of choices and copious. All in all this is a well thought out B&B with guests comfort being the core priority. Both this accommodation and the pub along the road had a lovely welcoming ethos. We would certainly hope to stay agan when we are travelling from north to south via A1M.

We could not fault this accommodation or host in any way whatsoever.

A definite jewel

Beautiful rooms with off road parking, breakfast room was great with so much choice. Iain was really friendly and helpful. We stayed her for my daughters wedding nearby so a great location and very helpful with recommending taxis. Would definitely recommend.

Cosy and spotless

A cosy place, spotlessly clean and generously managed. A gentle view outside from the back porch, and Wayne recommended a nice walk along the canal. The self-serve breakfast is generous and there are gluten free options available if you ask for them. Easy check-in and check-out. We had a relaxing stay and slept well.

It's a good address, we would return.

Amazing little B&B in Yorkshire's longest village

Fir tree barn was really well thought out, beautifully furnished and everything provided. The rooms were clean and fresh, there was a fully equipped kitchen to use all day and the breakfast choice was exceptional. The host was friendly and welcoming, recommending the village pub for dinner.

Extremely clean and well kept. Sensible sized rooms. Comfy beds. Huge choice for breakfast, no fried option, but you can buy your own and cook there.
