Agreable

C’est un endroit magnifique! Nous avons eu la grande chambre que l’on voit sur les photos promotionnelles. Elle est encore plus belle en réalité. Cependant la salle de bain pour cette chambre est, comme d’autres l’ont indiqué, à l’extérieur de la chambre. Elle est très belle, très grande, mais sans douche. Une belle grande baignoire si cela ne nous dérange pas, c’est très bien. Quelques cafés et restaurants juste en face.

Malheureusement, comme les fenêtres qui donnent sur la rue sont aussi d’époque, l’insonorisation est déficiente. Si vous avez le sommeil léger….vous dormirez à moitié.

Gem just outside of Agrigento

We rented two rooms at the B&B Palazzo Melluso and both were fantastic. While we only stayed one night, the hosts were very accommodating and shared lots of insight about the area. No complaints, my only concern was that this place was very nice - the furniture, the recent renovations, even the plaster and millwork were beautiful making me on edge with my 4 year old running around the place. That stated, the hosts were happy to have us stay with them. Great place and great hosts.

Nothing - it was amazing and at a reasonable price.

Exceptional

This B&b is full of charme. It's in an impeccably restored 18th C building. Original features and right in the centre of the town with lots of nice restaurants and cafes. Highly recommended.

I need a shower in the morning. it was on the 4th floor. I don’t remember being informed of this. the local restaurants were poor, poor service mostly but inattentive and lacking in choice. it was a Saturday night. my room was over the pedestrian street and kids were setting off fire cravers until 11.30pm

it’s like a little museum only for you! Absolutely amazing! First minutes you are just saying “Wow” all the time. Every detail is perfect. I must say the hospitality was the best I have ever ever had! Owners are the best hosts! Bravo! Bravo! Bravo!!!!!

From the historic and grand stately rooms to the modern and luxurious bathroom this property was a dream to stay in and

The apartment is absolutely stunning! And the hosts are amazing. They are friendly, kind and caring. The bedroom and the bathroom are exceptionally clean. Everything was so clean that it was the first ever property where I was comfortable enough to walk bare footed. The bed is really comfortable and I think the pillows might be memory foam. The bedroom and the bathroom are separate, the bathroom being a short walk through the reception area but it was not a problem because the hosts provided us with bathrobes and the reception was very quiet. The jacuzzi bath is incredible and very relaxing after a day trekking around the Valle dei Templi. Agrigento is easy enough to access by using a near by ‘Temple Tour Bus’, which is only €15 pp and takes you all over from Porto Empedocle to Valle dei Templi, and also drives past Scala dei Turchi. In the apartment, I thought that every detail was thought out, and in particular I really like how the B&B smelled, the blueberry home fragrance made it feel very calming. The little balcony outside felt very cosy. It is quite noisy outside in the evening and in the morning. So I would recommend to bring some good ear plugs. But it’s not hosts fault because it’s not like they can do anything about it. I think it’s just the way things are on the island. Everywhere in southern Italy is noisy. I would not let this to stop booking this B&B because I think it’s the best one in Porto Empedocle!

I would go back next tume I’m in Port Empedocle.

The premises are beautiful and give privacy and ample space. Bathroom was big and modern.

The property lacks an elevator, which is a problem with the luggage. Salvatore was very helpful to solve this problem.

Great Location in Porto Empedocle and close drive to the Roman ruins and Turkish Steps. Hosts were outstanding and very helpful wonderful people. Apartment is beautiful.

A few steps up stairs to apartment but left as great view.

-Gorgeous and authentic interior -Good location with convenient parking around building

Early in the morning (5 am) a truck comes to the main street to collect the garbage and makes an incredible noice so you hear all the noice very loud in the room.

A once in a lifetime experience!

This is without a doubt the most beautiful place I ever got to stay in. It's just amazing! It's hard to describe how beautiful this place really is. The hosts were as amazing as well. Worth the price!

Make sure to bring earplugs, it's a beautiful old building but that makes it hard to soundproof. Also the bathrooms are separated, which wasn't a problem for us but maybe in the busier season it can be a little awkward sometimes.

Stunning apartment and top service.

Amazing apartment with so much character. Very good location in center of town. Amazing service and wonderful host.

Our room had a bath with hand shower which was nice but a standing shower would be easier in the morning
