„Muchas gracias!“ for a wonderful stay in your guesthouse. We felt immediately „at home“ and the hospitality was great. We loved the unique and individual atmosphere in the house, the tasty breakfast together with you and the other guests (the best breakfast, what changed every day, since 3 weeks tour through Colombia!), all the information you shared with us about the city, places and needs and your friendly and helpful team. San Antonio hill is a perfect and save place for tourists - with all the Cafés, restaurants (try „Karmela Cocina“), bars and parks. And it’s not far away from most of the POI of the city.

Misleading description of the king bedroom

Nothing; we were charged before check in and did not like the room so we left

We bought the most expensive room: the king room believing it had a private bathroom (no mention of shared bathroom) and found out we had to share a bathroom. We were charged although we did not stay. We asked for at the the refund of the tax and breakfast but did not get it. The manager lied by telling us we had booked a double room with a description of a shared bathroom

Great place to stay in vibrant area of Cali.

The staff and owners are fantastic- very friendly and go out of their way to give suggestions and help with phone calls. Delicious breakfast, comfy bed, excellent shower and perfect location in vibrant San Antonio area. Easy to walk everywhere and felt safe walking around at night in the area. Plus it’s a beautiful house and grounds.

great staff, very nice house, great value and right beside the park in Cali's best neighbourhood

My room was for a single traveller, a single bed and a small window that opened towards the corridor. It is a good size and had the basics I was looking for. There was a ceiling fan and private bathroom which had hot water in the shower.

I think it was a bit too hot and I wasn't able to sleep as well as I had hoped. Maybe in the future they will consider adding an air conditioner.

Magic Garden is a beautiful house in San Antonio. It is a place where you feel like home. Everybody is very helpful with whatever you want and need to know, and the breakfast is wonderful. Changes every day. I reallyrecommend Magic Garden.

Really a magical garden, we loved our stay here and spent a lot of time on the terrace with a beautiful view over Cali. The staff was so welcoming, and the breakfast was amazing, always homemade :)

I had an incredible stay at the Magic Garden House. I hope to return again soon!

I really enjoyed the warmth and the friendliness of the entire staff. The home was very comfortable, tranquil and clean. The breakfast meal every morning was exceptional and delicious. The view from the balcony was amazing especially at night!

When I turned the shower on, the water would be hot and wonderful but after 3 minutes the water would cool off to a room temperature feeling. It would be great to have consistently hot watered showers if possible.

The best of Cali in a blooming guesthouse

This is an amazing guesthouse that gives you the best of both worlds for a solo traveler- private room (at an affordable price) but with the atmosphere of a friendly chill hostel. The breakfasts were delicious (actually the best included breakfast ever) and eaten at a comunal table overlooking the balcony with a view of the whole city. It was so easy to make friends with the other travelers but we also had our privacy. The floral decoration gives it a great jungle vibe even though you’re right at San Antonio park. The hosts do an incredible job with everything thank you!!

The beds could use a mattress topper to make them more comfortable. Overall everything was great!

What a great experience! Super highly recommended to stay here in a family atmosphere. It´s like a hotel but with what´s good about a hostel in that you can easily meet people if you want to. The breakfasts are heavenly as is the view from the terrace. Perfectly safe location near everything you need and a ton of restaurants. Will come back and stay again sometime without a doubt. The house was well located, beautifully maintained and very much an oasis away from the chaos of Cali's streets. The breakfast was tasty and it would've been challenging to find a more beautiful accommodation in my opinion.

When I asked about the security situation in Cali as a solo female traveler and mentioned the security guards and gates around all of the entrances of restaurants/cafes, I was told that it was so that "restaurants can welcome you in". In my opinion and based on the conversations I've had with other local residents/travelers, this does not seem entirely accurate. As someone who has lived in various places around the world, I was wary and a bit disappointed in this response (which seems like a stretch) and would note that it is important not to underreport safety-related aspects when talking with people who are new to the area.
