Una notte di puro relax

Ambiente elegante, moderno e pulito. Ottimo il buffet a cena e colazione. Piscina molto carina. Letto comodissimo.

Aria condizionata sparata al massimo poco regolabile. Forse un po’ da rinnovare è un hotel sicuramente datato. Ci siamo trovati bene comunque, nulla di che da segnalare.

Luxurious big room and close to centre with tuktuk

Everything was very luxurious and clean for Sri Lanka. It’s was close to the trainstation, the temples and the centre with a tuktuk. The room itself was very very nice and clean with a big bathroom. We also got a balcony with a view. Staff was very friendly and we got a surprise on the bed for our honeymoon. Really recommend. Best fitness we have seen in Sri Lanka.

They were working on the property so we didn’t want to go in the pool because of the noise. Everything else was fine.

מלון מושלם. חדר ענק, עם מרפסת על כל הנוף מסביב, לקחנו חדר ל4 פלוס מיטה שהוסיפו לנו וזה היה נהדר. ארוחת בוקר טובה מאוד, שולחן ביליארד, טניס שולחן וגולת הכותרת הבריכה עם הנוף הירוק מסביב. הלוואי והיינו נשארים שם יותר מלילה אחד.

מלון מעולה, תמורה מלאה לכסף, חדרים גדולים ומדהימים, מיטה ענקית ומפנקת, ארוחת בוקר מושלמת, ולא לוותר על ארוחת ערב בשום אופן. אווירה מושלמת, נוף מדהים, בריכת שחייה יפה יפה…. אין מילים. באמת מושלם.

Really nice place.

Food great. Can order a buffet or Ala Carte menu. Nice pool. Very clean and rooms were large. Great service in the restaurant from Wijaloon. The pool guy was really helpful and explained about the area and culture.

Highly recommended.

Location right in the centre of Kandy made it very easy for us to see all sites. Mountain view of the room was just amazing and breathtaking. A huge variety of food in the dinner buffet offered by the hotel’s restaurant, with a very pleasant ambiance.

The water pump pressure wasn’t that good.

Excellent Environment

Very beautiful and welcoming. The check in process was efficient. Our room was very comfortable and they made great effort to accommodate us. Our driver was treated well and the process to to come and go felt easy. The pool was lovely to relax in in the evening. The dinner buffet was delicious. The staff was very friendly and accommodating!

Golden Crown Kandy wasn't just luxurious, it was a breath of fresh air. My spacious room was sparkling clean and the view of endless greenery instantly melted away the city stress. The location, while peaceful and serene, didn't compromise on convenience. The reception staff was incredibly helpful, and I especially appreciated a team member named Taranga who went the extra mile to assist them, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for all guests. If you're seeking a luxurious escape steeped in nature, Golden Crown Kandy is a gem!

Talk about a personal touch! We were pleasantly surprised when even the general manager took the time to welcome us and bid us farewell upon leaving. That level of hospitality is a rarity, and we've only experienced it before in the Maldives and Dubai at five-star resorts.

Great stay and very good location

The room was very spacious with great comfy beds, staff were friendly, food was fair. The view from the restaurant was great and from the room balcony as well

The toilet seat was shaking and needed fixing. The TV stopped working twice The place needs minor maintenance to reach to perfection

Excellent place to stay with its top-notch facilities and exceptional service. The cozy ambiance, delicious cuisine, and stunning views create an unforgettable experience. Nonetheless, the overall stay was still delightful, and I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and luxurious getaway.

One area that needs improvement is the reception staff's uniforms, which appear tiered apart and worn out, slightly detracting from the otherwise pristine five-star image.

Unpleasant Odor in Initial Room, but Decent Facilities Overal

We were initially allocated a room on the second floor, and to our dismay, it had a rather unpleasant odor. A member of the cleaning staff acknowledged that this room tends to be smellier, so we declined to check in. Thankfully, the reception staff graciously provided us with an alternative room, but the view was not as splendid as the previous one, despite its smell. It's rather unfortunate to witness rooms being left in such conditions. On the bright side, all other facilities were quite satisfactory.

As a guest at your hotel, I wanted to share my experience. The rooms and lobby were wonderfully spacious, creating a comfortable atmosphere. The view from the restaurant was truly mesmerizing, as it overlooked beautiful paddy fields. However, I must mention that a downside was the lighting situation. Many of the lights in the hotel were either blinking or not working properly, which was a bit inconvenient. Additionally, the car parks seemed quite eerie with blinking lights, and some areas were completely dark without any lights at all. Overall, I enjoyed my stay, but I hope these lighting issues can be addressed for the future.

we loved the spacious room we stayed in, the host dayanjaya and the receptionists, and staffs were amazing and nice. the room was clean and reached our expectations. the pool and the buffet was outstanding and the view was beautiful. we all enjoyed the stay and we wish we could have stayed much longer.

Best hotel

During my stay at the Golden Crown Hotel, I was impressed by the exceptional service and swift handling of a challenging situation. A guest with apparent mental issues caused a disturbance in the lobby, displaying aggressive behavior. However, the hotel staff efficiently managed the situation, ensuring the safety and comfort of all guests.

From the entrance with Mr. Sivaraj to reception beautifu lady and going to the room it was exceeded expection, the smell of cleanness was everywhere and the food was perfect ( the guys in the restaurant they help me to find z best way how to try Sri lanka food which was the best ,i highly recommend the spa was also perfect. the welcome wasn’t good. I even asked myself for a bottle of water and still waited for 15 mins. it was as if we should wait for 30 mins before we get even a bottle of water.

Not recommended!

the location is the only advantage this hotel has to offer

They miss calculated the extra bed cost - it took 3 employees and one manager to sort out the calculations. it took 6 hrs and 3 calls to the front desk to get the extra bed. bed linen were not clean, they called us at 7am to let us know that we have a pending payment which later was found to be a mistake. Buffet did not offer verity of option and the food was cold. when we checked out, they didn’t even bothered to ask how was our staying. definitely not what you would expect from a 5 stars hotel.

Amazing stay

Just an amazing hotel situated just 15 minutes away from Kandy. Staff was amazing, Food was amazing and the rooms were super clean. Just give them 5 stars already.
