Great stay , history and hospitality combined

Location, lovely room, and great spot with beer hall and food hall on site. Good, friendly service from everyone on the complex, but particularly Susanne on reception. So welcoming, and a real passion for Holmes Mill and the area.

Comfortable rooms with a lot going on in the vicinity.

Location was perfect for attending a wedding.

Breakfast was nice but could have been a more generous portion. The bistro was very comfortable with plenty of seating.

We only had one night at holmes mill, but we did 2 nights at a self catering apartment in Clitheroe.

A fantastic conversion of a cotton mill into a great venue for eating, drinking, shopping & sleeping

A converted textile mill (grade II listed) that offers spectacular public spaces and stunning historic fabric. We liked the complex of foodie shops, excellent bars and restaurants (one built around a huge 1910 steam engine that used to drive the looms). There were good rooms, great staff and a setting in the middle of Clitheroe. There's even free, and safe, on-street parking outside.

Dissatisfied

Nice location

Turned away by the restaurant as they said they were full. Reservations showing online, asked about the bar area said they have a wedding coming in so not really... Room was decent although no Aircon very hot despite being February had to have window open and it was loud due to the wedding

Fabulous 2 night stay

We stayed for two nights around a family event. The rooms were very comfortable and the staff very helpful.

Beautiful hotel ruined by lack of noise insulation.

Beautiful building within easy walking distance of Holmes Mill and the rest of the town. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast.

The nightmare we experienced when the disco one floor below us went on till midnight. Even earplugs wouldn't have helped because the vibrations were just as bad as the volume. Unfortunately, we'd been placed in a room directly over a function where the noise and vibrations were emanating. Why they didn't have the sense and foresight to allocate our room to someone who was attending said function completely illudes me. Never again, which is a massive shame.

Having to pay an extra £10 to park, most hotels have car parking included for the duration of the stay. Hotel was nice and clean.

Excellent stay, lovely breakfast, convenient location

Excellent service at reception, very friendly and relaxed. Breakfast was really good, quality local produce. We didn’t book breakfast but glad we went into the bistro for it, lovely surroundings!

Very good

Room lovely and very spacious checking reception ist very nice and helpful.

Bar attached and restaurant shut due to staffing issues wasn't told this before check in and had arranged to meet friends their for cocktails and breakfast not available their had to walk further up to food court.

Modern hotel, lacking a little character.

Lovely clean hotel next to a quiet road and the Bowland Brewery food and beer hall. Simple room with simple amenities but not bad for the price.

No fresh drinking water, which you need after an evening in the beer hall! The reception is lovely, with lots of character but our room lacked this which was disappointing.
