An Amazing Place To Stay!!

Everything was perfect. Ouafaa and Daniel were great hosts and their son Jade was very helpful. The manoir is in an excellent location and you can walk on a path to the picturesque town of La Roque-Gageac in about 5 minutes. Our room was really well appointed with a super comfortable bed and nice views. The bathroom and shower were amazing! The breakfast was wonderful with many of the items prepared by Ouafaa herself and served in a room that could be a movie set. We wish we could have stayed longer!

Man weiß gar nicht, womit das Schwärmen beginnen soll...die Top-Lage, das Chateau, das Super-Frühstück.... aber vor allem die tolle französisch-marokkanische Gastfreundschaft. Wir haben uns gefühlt, wie in einer Familie. Vielen, lieben Dank!

Spectacular manor house - perfect in every way

Absolutely everything was perfect! The room we had was huge and decorated gorgeously, with a lovely view of the gardens and river, it was spotlessly clean, had a comfy bed with beautiful linen, soft fluffy towels, beautiful Clarins brand soap, body wash, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion (have never seen this luxury brand in any 5 star hotels), lovely gardens and pool area, was a 10 minute walk to La Roque Gageac, and is spectacularly set in an old manor house that the owner has lovingly restored from practically a ruin. Our bags were even loaded into a little electric cart which meant we didn’t have to carry them up the stairs. There was a communal fridge in the kitchen where you could keep any food of your own, along with access to plates, cutlery, wine glasses etc. The breakfast was amazing with so much to choose from including home made cakes, tarts and crème brûlée along with fruits, cheese, meats, bread, croissants, jams, yoghurts, cereal, and the omelettes were cooked to order. We were given recommendations for a couple of good restaurants nearby (one of which we tried and was fantastic), and the host even organised the breakfast buffet to be open an hour early for us when we had to leave to catch a flight. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt so very welcome. An amazing stay and the perfect end to our holiday in southern France.

Exceptional place to stay. Cannot fault

magical, wonderful place. This beautiful manor is in the most magical setting. the surrounding gardens are wonderful. The pool is perfect. We had adjoining family room. Decorated beautifully with very comfortable beds. The hosts are charming and friendly Breakfast is out of this world. selection of sweet and savoury food plus freshly made omelettes and crepes Perfect location for the river and visiting surrounding sites. we loved this place so much and hope to come again

A delightful break in a lovely location, most hospitable owners.

Beautiful location overlooking the river, set in most attractive gardens just outside the village offering easy walk to restaurants. We stayed in June and La roque de gageac was still quiet in the evenings. The hosts were most welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We stayed for 3 nights in the main hotel, rooms are unique ,there are soft towels in the bathroom, and beautiful fresh flowers in all rooms. Breakfast offered a wide choice of fruits, homemade delicacies , cold meats and cheeses, and omelette if appetite permits served in the elegant dining room or in the garden by the swimming pool depending on the weather. The hydrangeas in the garden were in full bloom and stunning; the terraced gardens offered secluded areas with tables and chairs to relax and read. The property is extremely well kept.

The vehicular exit point: it is close to a bend in the road, the hosts have installed a light system to warn of approaching vehicles but a convex mirror might also assist visibility.

Amazing! We would go back anytime!

The breakfast was absolutely incredible! So much choice and everything you could think of, all homemade and delicious. The location is perfect, a very easy walk to restaurants. The attention to detail is amazing, Ouaffa thought of everything! There were even tissues in our room.

Fantastic and will be my first choice for future trips

Beautiful and right on the water with gorgeous view. the spacious garden had many lovely places to sit. Easy walk to town. Do not miss breakfast because was fantastic. Host was so welcoming and made us feel at home. Beautifully appointed and comfortable rooms. Brought us fresh flowers from the garden. Can’t say enough good - wish we had stayed a full week.

An unexpected gem in an idyllic location.

What an unexpected gem in an idyllic location. The owners were lovely and the hotel is charming. The garden and pool area is stunning. Breakfast was a feast every morning and it is so convenient to walk into la rouge gageac, go canoeing on the dordogne river or drive to nearby sites. Air conditioning in the room during the heat wave, and onsite car parking, were bonuses.

Best ever - not kidding.

Manoir de la Maladrerie was among my favorite places that I have ever visited. The property was superb and our host was beyond helpful in suggesting activities in the Dordogne area. And finally, the breakfast was beyond belief. She deserves a Michelin star for breakfast alone.

Outstanding, best place to stay when in area.

Everything about the hotel is amazing, one of the best hotels I have stayed at. Location on the river just outside the village is perfect, so peaceful. We stayed in the annex and had our own private garden area to relax. The owner makes the hotel experience superb she provides exceptional service with a smile. We heard the breakfast was incredible and had it on our last morning and it was the best breakfast I have had at any hotel, we had it at a small table by the pool overlooking the river, what a treat.

Nothing cannot wait to return, everything was perfect.

Fairy tale location, room, breakfast and host!

Everything about our stay was picture perfect. Ouaffa was waiting for us when we drove up for an 8pm check in. She immediately showed us our booked room then offered to upgrade us to a premium room with a terrace for free. Then she offered to help us transport out luggage to the room. She asked if we had dinner plans and directed us to the open restaurants in town and showed us where to take the path to get there. The room was amazing! Impeccably clean, lavishly furnished, well stocked with towels, toiletries, premium bottled water, even bathrobes! Ouaffa invited us to a phenomenal breakfast, which cost extra-but was worth every penny. Endless amounts of gourmet food that she prepared herself. She ground our coffee beans! (and I'm pretty sure she was squeezing oranges in the kitchen to provide us with fresh orange juice). We only stayed one night but we should have booked at least three. Everything about the area and the property is so relaxing and inviting.

The pool was covered and inaccessible, but that was because of the very chilled and stormy weather that had been happening for a couple of days. But I can't complain about la force majeure!

The highlight of our trip to the Dordogne! Just 🤩 perfect.

This property is one of the loveliest I have ever stayed in. The room was beautiful and the location and hosts were amazing. The village is just a few minutes by foot and the breakfast was elaborate and delicious. Thank you to the owners for taking such pride in their guest house!

Beautiful place, feels like home

The heated pool, the unbelievable breakfast, but especially the owner Quaffra and her charming husband made our trip so enjoyable. She booked all out restaurants and ever one better than the other. We enjoyed it so much we stayed another night. I can recommend this place if you like being well minded with delicious food in a beautiful French house.

Great hosts and food and although the hotel is close to the road it’s an excellent location.

The breakfast was superb. The hostess and host are charming.

The room we were in was large, well equipped but the colour scheme was quite dark which detracted from the rooms appeal
