Our holiday was utterly marred by our stay at this accommodation. Over the course of three days, we were confronted with a deeply troubling issue – a severe bed bug infestation in our room. I personally suffered around 300 bites, while my friend endured approximately 50. My entire body was covered in these painful, red bite marks. Seeking medical advice, we consulted a doctor in Lacanau who confirmed that the bites were indeed from bed bugs. When we mustered the courage to address this grave concern with the landlord, we were met with outright denial and an insistence that the infestation did not originate from their property. We had concrete video evidence of bed bugs in our room, which we believed would substantiate our claim, yet the landlord maintained their denial and even displayed a hostile demeanor, absurdly asserting that the pests were merely harmless spiders - a pretty obvious lie. In sum, our experience with this landlord was deeply disappointing. There was not a single apology offered, nor any semblance of a rational, constructive conversation. We implore you to safeguard your health and well-being by avoiding this accommodation at all costs! Although we still hold out hope for compensation, it seems unlikely that it will materialize given the host's conduct. In addition, the equipment of the kitchen was very poor, for example, there was not even a kettle. In addition, the dishwasher was almost impossible to use and the cabinet doors jammed. Furthermore, the Wi-Fi connection was so weak that you could almost only use it in the living room. If possible, I would rate this accommodation 0 out of 10 stars.
