Wow!

wunderschönes Hotel in Hikkaduwa! Wir hatten dort die schönste Zeit und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Zimmer wird jeden Tag gereinigt und ist unglaublich sauber und komfortabel. Die ganze Anlage ist toll und wir würden wirklich jederzeit wieder kommen. Auch die Mitarbeiter vor Ort haben uns bei allem geholfen und waren sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Wir sind sehr traurig, dass wir gehen müssen. Vielen Dank! 🤍

Good value for money!

Nice & neat property, spacious and clean rooms, everything is in perfect condition. Convenient location, pretty close to the main road and hence to the beach. Despite being pretty close to the railway, it’s fairly quiet in the room. The breakfast was delicious and nutritious. Amazing service provided by the owners of the place. I’m a regular customer and will definitely come back again. Thank you!

Simply amazing!

Such a quiet & well maintained property situated in 3 min walk from the main road, rooms are clean and nicely decorated and there all the facilities you would need during your stay. Exceptional breakfast & service provided. Will definitely come back!

Best place we stayed in Sri Lanka!

Weleges was quite possibly the best accommodation we stayed at in Sri Lanka. It is newly renovated, with modern bathrooms, great natural lighting and comfy beds. The wifi was great, the location was a close walk to the main road and beach, but far enough back that it was still nice and quiet. It is a secure facility as well with closed gates and someone always around. The staff were very welcoming when we arrived and accommodating for what we wanted for breakfast.

Great value in a very convenient location close to the beach, restaurants, markets, etc.

Excellent hotel in a very convenient part of town. Owners and staff were really nice and communicative and went beyond their duties to help and assist when I had problems! I had some and they were always very eager to help. Thanks 🙏

The railway is very close to the hotel and it is possible to hear the passing of the trains at night. However, you get used to it!

Excellent place with really good wifi connection

The high grade 9.6 I saw on Booking is absolutely correct and cannot be lower. First. Wifi!!! For the first time in Sri Lanka I felt like at home surfing at a solid speed, no issues. I was almost happy bc I needed it for work, calls, apps, etc. Clean. Like for real. I felt so comfy in the room knowing I look at everything that is so clean. All supplies in a good condition and working. Bathroom was stylish and had necessary supplies, tho no shampoo. Service and staff were great, all fast and based, straight to the point. I liked it. Top to bottom windows were no problem bc I'm used to this type of windows and actually didn't care bc there are curtains to use. I definitely recommend this place and actually would consider booking it again if I meet no other wifi like this. Thanks to the hotel team!

It's not what I didn't like, but adding a couple of things like teabags or shampoo would make the place even better, tho it is already excellent.

Great place to stay at.

This is the best place we have stayed in Hikkaduwa and Sri Lanka in general. The rooms are spacious, modern, comfortable, with air conditioning, a fan on the ceiling and other necessary amenities. All furniture is wooden and stylish. The toilet and shower are made in a European way (which is rare for Sri Lanka). The rooms are cleaned every day. There is a large balcony or terrace on the ground floor. The staff is very friendly and ready to help. A security guard is on duty at night. In general, this place left the most pleasant impressions. If we go to Hikkaduwa again, we will definitely stay there.

Great place. We booked 1 night, but stayed for 4. Our roon was brand new, we were 2nd guests in that room. Everything is clean, bad and pillows are comfortable. Host is very friendly, communicative, ready to help. 2 big mirrors in the room, free parking and excellent WiFi. Everything is perfect.

Excellent rooms that were very well maintained. The daily cleaning was a great bonus after coming and going from the beach and being sandy. The staff were excellent too, always friendly and helpful.

Superb

Nice, clean, modern room. Close to shops, restaurants and beach. Very nice owners. They specially made a Sri Lankan breakfast for us on request.

Close to the train track so you will hear the train passing by. Can be annoying in the early morning.

Exceptional

Weleges Place is a very quiet place off the main road with only 4 units presently. Hence it is very cozy, the rooms are new and well maintained, bathrooms are spacious and clean. The omelettes in the morning were perfect. Overall very satisfied and would love to stay there again if I do visit.

WHAT A LITTLE GEM

The minute we arrived we were greeted with a friendly smile from Chamdima and Rohann. The hotel is in a great quiet location within 5 minutes walk to the beach and restaurants, it is situated in a small garden which is gated and secure. There are only 4 rooms with a further 4 being finished in April. The rooms are really big, ultra modern and extremely clean, the a/c is first class, there are also plenty of sockets. The rooms are cleaned to a high standard every day (even pulling the bed out to clean underneath it). The breakfast is amazing, fruit, pancakes/cakes omelettes/eggs, tea and coffee which sets you up for the day. Chamdima and Rohann looked after us and nothing was a problem, they go the extra mile and booked restaurants and taxis for us. We look forward to retuning next year.

Superb! It's a 10 out of 10. Don't book anywhere else in Hikkaduwa!

It was the 12th place I have stayed in since arriving in Sri Lanka over 2 months ago, and it was by far the best. There was everything I could need. Fridge and kettle in the room, huge bathroom, lovely terrace with pretty comfortable seating, as well as sunbeds and umbrellas on the lawn. Clothes drying rack. Lots of towels (I'm usually given just one because I'm on my own), I was even given a beach towel to take out with me. My room was cleaned really well every day, when I got back the coffee cup and glass for fruit juice I had used in the morning were washed and ready to use again. Everything was SUPER clean! Breakfast was lovely, freshly made to order. Can't fault anything. Location fantastic, 5 mins walk to busy centre of Hikkaduwa yet so quiet and peaceful. Don't book anywhere else if you are going to Hikkaduwa. Lovely staff, the main lady is lovely, so helpful. Sorry but can't remember how to spell her name! She's lovely, ready to help with anything, she even moved my clothes rack into the sun so everything was dried when I returned. Well done Weleges! 10 out of 10 from me.

Everything was perfect, the rooms highly above standard and the Hotel staff very helpful

The breakfast was good, the rooms big and nicely renovated. Especially the bathroom was big and very nice. The air conditioner was new and worked very well, The location was perfect, quite but close to the beach and the center. In turtle saison you can feed the turtles at the beach. There was really nothing to complain about. The hotel owner even bought me a bag of Special Sri lankan tea when I was sick and did not even want to take any money for it. They also helped me to arrange a trip and find the cheapest option to get there. You really feel welcome in that hotel.

Nothing I can think of….If I would be forced to say something it would maybe be that they did not serve lunch/dinner (maybe only due to covid) but that really didn‘t bother me at all, as I like to eat in different places and the next restaurant is in 1-2 minutes walking distance.

Luxurious place, would come again.

Really clean and modern place. Maybe one could even say luxurious. You are getting a huge room with nice and spacious bathroom. On top of that you can expect tasty breakfast and great location close to restaurants and beach as well. Do note the place is "run like hotel" meaning you won't really get any local family encounters, welcome drinks or other perks. The staff is very helpful and we enjoyed our stay, it's just that it is different to other 12 or so stays around the country. :)

Clean rooms and great location.

Basic facilities like dental kit were not provided. If you are staying multiple nights, water bottles were chargeable after the first day. Based on the prices charged, these things should be included.

Quiet place - but still close to beach and main bentota! Very clean and spacious room - all brand new! Very taste breakfast!
