Clean & friendly

Very clean. Excellent staff helpful & friendly

Had random noises, eg, turning on taps. Through the night, either tank filling up or door opening?? Quite a regular timing, strange.

Nicht weiterzuempfehlen leider

schöner Aussenbereich, viele Parkmöglichkeiten, wir hatten ein sechster Zimmer zu zweit

Haare und Flecken auf dem Lacken, generell nicht wirklich sauber, Ameisen im Zimmer, sehr enge Duschen mit Schimmel in den Ecken, Pool war grün

L'accueil du personnel et l'attention porté au moment de l'enregistrement. J'ai eu un dortoir féminin avec une sdb inclus. Le point négatif c'est la cuisine, un rafraîchissement ne serait pas du luxe et des couteaux qui coupent et tasses en plus ne serait pas du luxe. Peut être donner des bac de rangement pour le frigo et un autre pour les produits sec permettrait que cela reste propre. Une prise et un casier dans la chambre serait un plus.

La connexion Wi-Fi aléatoire, pas super piurborganiser la suite du voyage.

Great central backpackers

Good showers, close to town, and friendly staff. Resident cat Lucy is a treat. Good size lounge and dining spaces with heaps of room in the kitchen. The dorms were clean and comfy and the place had a great vibe.

Good value but just misses the spot

Excellent location and good value for money with comfortable communal area. Despite the listing showing parking as unavailable, it was in fact available which was a bonus.

Unfortunately the WiFi did not reach the room and the kitchen was not very well equipped with some basics. Although bedding was provided, it was very thin which led to a cold night’s sleep in the winter.

Cheap and good kittchen, may come back

The kitchen was very nice and had a cooking island

The facilities are very old and the showers could get an upgrade. Also the beds make some noices everytime you move. The mattress is so done that you probably your back hurts sometimes after sleeping.

Pleasant

The rooms were large and spacious, with parking outside each room. There was a kitchen in our room that was fully stocked with everything we needed.

The bathroom was very dated.

Loves the staff friendly shared lots of local info and advise on where to go and what to do Very helpful and supportive

We got locked out of carpark because we returned after 11pm And we should have called after hours number but we didn't want to wake anyone up but we could have because the staff were very kind and helpful The staff did suggest it but maybe extra info about gate being shut after dark

Exceptional

Extremely friendly and forthcoming reception. Were put in a 4-bed room (only the two of us!), although 6-bed booked. Cool concept the rooms facing the little garden - feels cosy. Mattress and pillow so comfy! Rarely slept so well. Air fan in room. Kitchen has everything you need. Easy to clean. Common food area from former guests. Labels to tag your food. Showers and toilets good. In front of toilets big, deep, long sink which was quite convenient for us. Tabel tennis with balls, rackets and net. So nice, every accommodation should have it. There was also Billard and a chill out area. Parking. Cute cat.

Small black grasshoppers (or crickets?) in kitchen and bathroom sinks (probably hopped in there and got trapped). But they were kind of cute and didn't disturb us.

In the middle between i-site and Pak'n'Save. Great for tours to Cape Reinga. I enjoyed the area with the hammocks.

The bed was very uncomfortable. Too few sockets at full occupancy (2 sockets in a 6 bed dome).

The lodging was tidy, clean and comfortable. We would book again. Thankyou.

I was pleased that the owners take pride in keeping the environment pleasant for guests. The bunk beds were comfortable and the bathroom facilities were clean. Guests are responsible for ensuring the kitchen and entertainment areas are tidy and clean if using them, which they did during our stay.

The driveway gates were locked when we returned to the lodging around 11 pm. Fair to say we were told they might extend the lock-up time from 9.30pm but that wasn't confirmed. A minor inconvenience as we managed to access our accommodation via an alternate route. We appreciate management wanting to keep the premises safe and secure for guests.

Recommended, could use a couple of little updates.

Location was nice. The staff was very nice and helpfull. Kitchen en facilities overall are excellent. With a small patio with 2 hammocks.

The bedrooms are very light because the ceiling has a window in it without a curtain. The curtains for the normal windows are not big enough to cover the whole window. The matras was completely overused and needed a urgent replacement.

Only stay if you have to

Lady at the front desk was awesome :). Kitchen facilities good.

Bed was so sunken in and overused it really hurt my back to sleep on. Room stunk of old, sweaty idk just gross. Bathroom was old with lots of stains. A whole collection of pot holes to avoid as you go down the driveway.
