Sin duda volvería!!

Me gustó mucho mi estadía en el hotel, la habitación era privada y limpia, el personal muy atento y el dueño muy amable, me encantó q sea pet friendly , la perrita Tatiana divina!! Buena ubicación

Be prepared for an older, bare minimum accommodation.

Staff tried to be helpful and showed us the room before we committed to staying. Proprietor helped us find a person who spoke some English to help answer questions. Hotel was close to the main square and Taino Bay cruise port. There are several bars and restaurants around the square.

Only Spanish and French spoken by staff. No hot water in our room. Bare light bulb hangs from ceiling. There was no screen on bathroom window and one louvre was missing--the window was just covered by a curtain. Other guests using the pool table in the common area were VERY LOUD and inconsiderate until 2am.

fine for one or two night, wouldn’t stay longer

the location was nice. on the rooftop is a pool and you can play billiard. the rooms were ok.

the owner was very pushy. we arrived and the staff couldn’t manage to gove us the right price and changed it 3 times. then they gave us a room and as soon as we settled in they came and gave us another one. both room were basically the same and were ok. the stuff seemed very confused. the next day the owner showed us two more rooms even though we said that our room was completely acceptable and nice. he still insisted to show us two other rooms which was weird. even though it was a bit weird he was nice and helpful.

We had to ask in order to have water in the bathroom, the toilet was likng and in the morning we had the bathroom flooded and it was not possible to flush the toilet.

Disappointing

Very colourful interesting artwork. Convenient location. Bed was comfy enough.

Total lack of soundproofing, noisy guests chatting to all hours, no hot water in shower. Pillows were old and yellowed, lumpy.

Nice, reasonably priced city-center option

Great location and staff, strong wifi, cosy reception area, multiple restaurants and museums close by

Odd bathroom but everything was working, breakfast included a sandwich, coffee and juice, one can buy stuff from the supermarket and use the kitchen though

It was very good, if I came back to puerto plata I would stay here.

Very accommodating staff. Very pretty art everywhere. Safe location.

Maybe they could offer more tour or shuttle service giving more info to oncoming travelers.

Very good value, just don't expect a 5 star place.

I've been here a few times in years past. Still a comfortable, secure place with an unbeatable location. Staff is very pleasant although they only speak Spanish. There are several areas in the hotel where you can lounge and relax. It's Dominican owned and operated which I like. There always seems to be someone cleaning which is a good thing. The lobby is attended 24/7. Most importantly, it is quiet at night!

Consistent hot water, or lack thereof. Chronic problem in a lot of locally owned hotels. Combined with low water pressure it can make showering a little uncomfortable for some. Toilets sometimes required 2 or 3 tries to flush. Rooms can use a little updating. Furnishings are run down but clean.

Great location and friendly staff

I loved the location because everything was within walking or Motorcycle taxi distance. It was one block from the town center, there are plenty of restaurants nearby. Excellent wifi, free coffee and water at all times. I liked all the pets since we are big animal lovers

I disliked that the tv did not work. When mentioning it to staff one person said they would look for the missing remote control and attempt to fix it. However the person never came. We figured we would be fine with the Internet since we weren’t there long.

I'd stay here every time!

The breakfast was elaborated and giving you a good start of the day. The host Julia and her staff are magnificent as they are very helpful, giving me a welcome drink, directions to all daytrips I wanted to take, tips on taxi and even shampoo I forgot to pack.

Nothing! If you need value for money and a good sleep at a top location this is your stay!

Cute hotel in the center of the city

The hotel is really cute! I loved how colorful it is. The staff is really kind and helpful; welcomed us with a coffee. The breakfast was waiting for us the next day. The location is excellent, everything is near! I’ll definitely stay there again.

Some cleanliness issues. There were some bugs running around the room at night.

Exceptional

The staff helpful, the room very nice and quiet, the hotel very cozy, art like. I loved the azulejos and the terrace on the rooftop with a small (but very warm) pool. The sunset from there was perfect! The breakfast nice and early and they let me deposit my backpack the other day. I recommend it very much! Super stay!

maybe mosquito nets in the window would be nice, I prefere to sleep with the window open without AC.

Really close to the city center with a private car park

The Wi-Fi connection was slow and unstable. Unfortunately, staff doesn't speak English and our room on the first floor has no view so the feeling of being at the basement. The area of chilling and having breakfast is combined so it is not cosy and fresh.
