Four bedroom single floor home 100 paces from the river/boardwalk and a 4 minute stroll down the boardwalk to all the action.
Large dining room plus breakfast nook. Bright, comfortable and airy; big rooms and a large, screened back porch, and a private, fenced back yard with gas grill and firepit. Fireplace (decorative, not in service.) Coffee bar.
Tech savvy smart home with electronic lock, security, linked smoke/CO detectors, motion detector (but no interior cameras or microphones, of course) cable tv, wifi, netflix, two flat screen TVs, blue-ray player. Kitchen stocked with the basics. Dishwasher.
Home has 3 bedrooms in the main house, and 2 baths, plus an additional large, private-entrance back bedroom accessible from the rear screened porch..
Washer and dryer. Quiet dead end street, driveway parking and on-street parking.

We stayed here for a long weekend with 6 adults and 1 kiddo, had plenty of space. Wifi was great, plenty of seating and dining space, lots of gadgets and supplies in the kitchen. This is definitely an older beach house but was very clea, the only reason I docked a star on cleanliness was for the bathrooms - they were clean but need some TLC on the tile work. Overall we had a great visit and would recommend!

Beautiful home with plenty of space for our family! The house was very clean, and organized! Had every amenity you could need! Just a quick block to the beach at the end of a quiet street! Perfect for relaxing and enjoying the quiet!

We came for the Riverfest weekend. The property is walking distance to the beach and boardwalk. It’s in a quiet neighborhood with plenty of space. We loved the fenced in back porch. Highly recommend! We would love to come back and stay again!

This is a very nice house located conveniently within a short walking distance to the beach. Each bedroom was spacious with comfortable beds, comfortable living and dining room, nice screened-in porch. Golf cart rentals were available to drive to the many good places to eat and to watch beautiful sunsets from different areas. We were able to enjoy relaxing time at the house and fun times at the beach. It is a short drive to Fredericksburg which also has a lot of nice shops and good places to eat, and a train station which we took in to Washington DC. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Really great house!
We took our grandkids and adult children with us to this property. We had a wonderful time and there is plenty of room to spread out & relax. The back yard was a big attraction to our youngest grandkids and the beach was a big hit with all of us. There is plenty of seating for meals and lot of "extras" in the kitchen, spices and condiments. I highly recommend this house! And thank you to Joel.

Wonderful spring visit
We rented this with my sister and her family for a short weekend visit. The house was very comfortable for our group of 7. We appreciated the thoughtful decor as well as the touches like the Ninja coffee bar and the good linens and towels. The location is great with just a short walk to the beach or restaurants. We hope to return!

Weekend getaway
My husband, grandkids and I Stayed here for our annual Columbus day getaway. The house was in great shape with plenty of room for the 4 of us. The kitchen is small, but very well stocked with everything we needed. Our only complaint was the lack of television channels. Im glad netflix was available tho. We enjoyed going to the pier and fishing. Kids got their first fish!

We loved the uniqueness and location of the property. Plenty of room for the six of us. Relaxing down time in this odd year for traveling. Property was a short walk to the beach and we did plenty of walking around.

The only concern was when we got there we had no clean sheets for the beds. We found a pile of dirty sheets in the laundry room from the previous guest.

Fantastic
Super cute house will all amenities, perfect for my 2yr old grandson to run around (literally through the kitchen the porch and living room). What made this stay even better it had all linens, paper goods and even some travel size personal items if needed. I would recommend for sure!

Perfect accommodations for our family
Just a short walk in one direction to go visit family members and in the other direction to the beach. This was our second visit and we were not disappointed either time. Looking forward to staying at Sun, Moon and Stars next year.

Our family really enjoyed the house and location -- it was super close to the water and boardwalk. It was spacious and very clean. Would certainly recommend this property and Colonial Beach in general, it's a hidden gem that we enjoy each to year.

Beautiful House, Perfect Location
I loved the location of this house. The bedrooms and bathrooms were exceptionally clean. Lots of room to share privacy! We had 2 couples and a single person, it was perfect. We didn't use the private, 4th bedroom or the washer and dryer. The bedrooms are huge! Kitchen was a bit small, but we made it work! The back porch is very private and cozy and quite big, screened in (no bugs on the porch!). Bring the bug spray and itch cream if you go there after a week of rain, the bugs were bad along the beach! Joel, the owner, is very pleasant to talk to and very accommodating, I look forward to coming back. Hopefully at a different time of year, without the bugs! We did eat at the Riverboat restaurant, and very reasonably priced and a couple blocks away. I can't stress enough, the location is perfect, you are at the top end of Colonial Beach and the boardwalk is right there. I love not having to worry about having a key, the keypad is great! Thank you, Joel for sharing your home, it is beautiful! The only thing, I could recommend is a case of bottled water in the fridge when you get there, the last place we rented had an unopened case, Cold. And we replaced it when we left. Thank you, again!

Amazing house and a great location!
My friends and I spent a 3 day weekend here and loved Colonial Beach. The house was inviting and was a perfect retreat from the sun. Everything was clean and comfortable. Joel was very communicative and made check in and out a breeze.

Wonderful House, Great Stay in Colonial Beach!!
We rented a house for the first time in Colonial Beach for my wife and I, our daughter, her husband, and their 2 children. This house was perfect for our needs. The house has 3 bedrooms (one with bunk beds, which our oldest granddaughter loved) and 2 full baths in the main part, with a separate 4th bedroom behind the garage. It was very clean, with nice furniture and modern appliances. It is literally a couple of hundred feet from the north end of the beach, although it was a short walk from there to the main beach. The air conditioning work very well (which was important because it was 95 degrees on our 3rd day). The back yard was fenced and shady, with a screened porch and a gas grill for cooking. Linens and kitchen supplies were also provided. The house has cable TV and Wi-Fi. All in all, we enjoyed our stay there very much, and would love to come back in the future.

Best stay yet, in Colonial Beach!
Aside from the fact that I absolutely love Colonial Beach, this house is, by far, the best we have ever stayed in here. Great house! We loved everything about it. My grandchildren loved the fact that they could play in the fenced in yard, without my worrying (too much) about their safety.
Absolutely love the location. Walk less than a block and you are on the boardwalk.
The owner, Joel Parfitt, is wonderful to work with. Very responsive to emails and very friendly.
The only suggestion I would make is that the back and side yard could use some tending to, but other than that, we will definitely be coming back to this great house.

Very nice, clean and comfortable
This was my first time booking through Vrbo and Joel made the experience easy and was very helpful! He answered all questions about the property and was very accommodating! The house was very clean and tidy and beds were very comfortable! It was a very short walk to beach access as well as shops and dining options! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
