Million-Dollar-View

The apartment is on the first floor of a barn that sits on top of a hill. Hence the views are spectacular: Mt Taranaki, but also the surrounding hills, in good conditions even Mt Ruapehu. The appartment is huge and has a nice roof terrace. The kitchen has everything you need and comes with fresh eggs and milk. The car can be parked underneath.

Exceptional stay at Barberry Hill!!

The whole experience, Kelly, Marty and Hamish were so welcoming and their hospitality was top knotch! We loved the location, the scenery and everything they had to offer. The simple things made the most impact, like a basket full of breakfast goods, the fireplace, the landscape and ao much more!! Thank you so much for hosting us at your wonderful bed and breakfast. We will definitely be back - Team 93r.

It has been an enjoyable stay and we would come back anytime if we were to travel in this region.

There was an ample choice of breakfast food The farm-fresh eggs were particularly good. The Studio is very spacious and comfortable and well equipped. Whilst it is a few kilometers from the township, it is in a beautiful location with great views.

There is nothing we didn't like. The only point we like to make is that the space for hanging clothes is rather tight and the provision of a cupboard or at least some additional hanging space would be beneficial.

If you want to escape the city life, this is what you need....

The view of Taranaki in front of you and Mt ruapehu at the back , the fresh raw cow milk every morning (breakfast was lovely - fresh farm eggs, bread, juice, Jams, yogurt, musli, coffee ), the fireplace warming up, comfortable bed and the big space! Very close to good local restaurants and New World if you need anything. Only 25 minutes drive away to some of the best hikes around Mt Taranaki. This was by far, the most amazing accommodation in we have stayed in New Zealand. If you want to escape the city life, this is the place to go. Will be back just to stay here again. Thank you Margaret and Peter! (lovely hosts)

Tranquil and relaxing, I really enjoyed my week here.

The hosts were amazing, I arrived late in the evening and the fire had been lit and the place was super cozy! Amazing views and a beautiful property to roam, I will definitely be back!
