the location was excellent and the price was very good

hand towels were never replaced, difficulty. biggest complaint is the phrase on the wall and on servers’ shirts, “b#%^* where is my champagne”. Incredibly sexist and demeaning to women. I would never recommend this hotel based upon on this very misogynistic phrase.

great staff and perfect location. they are also very progressive with their smart rooms!

the Google installation does not always work or understands the commands. the hotel can be a bit noisy. although the rooftop is very cool the hotel doesn’t really has a pool where you can have a swim. it can become very hot during the day inside the city.

Great central location to explore Cartagena,

The coffee was amazing, and I enjoyed to the avocado toast.

I thought it was included in the stay but not when you book thru booking.com. Limited options for a vegan but I knew that before arrival.

overall it was a nice hotel and I enjoyed my stay.

location was excellent. the food and drinks and service inside the earring facilities was very good. front desk was helpful.

the room floors weren’t cleaned. on two days of our stay the rooms were not made or towels changed. if you’re not out of the room by 10 it seems it doesn’t get cleaned. I personally did no like having to use WhatsApp to communicate with hotel staff since I was in vacation and wanted to avoid using my phone except for pictures. I don’t care for the “smart room” features which also implies you have to use your phone to control the lighting and other things.

Stylish and well run. Just needs better soundproofing.

Very comfortable and well equipped room, with a great view across the rooftops of Cartagena, giving it a luxurious feel. Responsive and friendly staff via a dedicated WhatsApp chat. Simple check in and out and a proper boutique feel to the hotel. Excellent roof terrace and plunge pool (in the Penthouse suite), given Cartagena's humidity. Lots of great touches both in the room and around the hotel. Excellent location for accessing Cartagena's old city.

The suite does suffer from noise at night, both from the street (drumming from street performers) and the rooftop bar above it, both via scraping chairs audible through the ceiling, and noise through the suite's door from guests coming to and from the bar. Since the bar is open until 1am, this can prove disruptive to sleep. For an expensive penthouse suite, this is a shame as it blights an otherwise superb facility. Better soundproofing is ideally needed.

The room was lovely - spacious and clean and the location of the hotel was great.

There wasn’t actually a pool area unlike in the photos. The music around the hotel was anti socially loud and made it impossible to relax during any time we spent in the hotel on the roof - we asked the staff several times for it to be turned down when we were on the roof and we were completely ignored.

We loved staying at Guesthouse and will definitely return in the future.

It's hard to list all the great things about staying at Guesthouse. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind from our welcome beer to getting us a taxi for our return to the airport. And we loved our room, all the food, and the rooftop bar.

Our stay was pretty flawless. Any problems that I'd site would be picky and irrelevant. We had a great time. End of story.

We upgraded the apartment to suite with additional payment. We had friends over for the evening, but they charged us additional money for having more than 2 as we called out during booking

NOT Pleased.

I made the reservation for 4 guests via booking.com but when I arrived they only had 2 guests in the system and they therefore charged me $250 extra for my stay. This is simply unacceptable and unethical, as I had already paid the rate for 4 guests. Further, the staff made claims they showed me proof of charges that they never did. Though there were language barriers, that doesn't explain or excuse the fact that they were not diligent and upfront about costs. Will never stay at this hotel again, nor will I reccomend to clients (I am a travel agent). Furthermore, our air conditioning didn't work, which led to many late night calls from maintenance (while our young children were attempting to sleep) with no acceptable resolve to the issue---other than sweating our behinds off in 90+ degree weather. Needless to say, our stay at Townhouse was NOT a highlight of our trip. On the plus side (if you can call it that): Beds are comfortable. Location is great (though literally anywhere in the Walled City would be), and The front desk staff and house keeping were friendly and helpful. Bar staff did leave a little to be desired on the rooftop.

Disappointed

The food, room and location are good

My special requests and recommendations were not taken into account by the Staff, the communication between reservations, front desk, and food and beverages is very poor because what they made me lose a lot of time and my recommendations were not taken into account before arrival. at the time of invoicing it was worse, I have a dispute because they tell me that they cannot return to my TC the deposit that I had to pay for my family's consumption

Exceptional

The staff were professional and very friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel!!! Maximilo(sp) the gentleman at the daytime reception went over and above to ensure that our stay was wonderful. The house cleaning staff and the ladies who served breakfast were excellent!! They accommodated our early schedule for breakfast. Again, I would highly recommend this hotel! The location is prime!! Lots of fun activities in the area!!

Everything thing at the hotel was excellent However, the surrounding was noisy at night. I still slept through the night.

Exactly what I wanted

Great hotel! We loved our room with a private pool! The location is in the middle of everything. I enjoyed hearing the musi from the rooftop bar and people on the streets enjoying life!

Our pool was under the rooftop bar. We found cigarettes butts a couple times in our pool in the morning, but the staff was quick to clean when we asked.

The breakfast was great and the atmosphere and location of the hotel was perfect. The bed was comfy and quiet. I would stay here again.

Good location and very modern, good facilities outside and inside a room and helpful/welcoming staff!!

It was pretty impossible to sleep, we had a room on the 2nd floor and it was super noisy, apecially super early in the morning and late at night.

Awesome old town hotel

Fantastic hotel, laid back and helpful staff, beautiful setting, great food and roof top bar and large, comfortable rooms. Excursions were easy to organise and the staff replied to any emails before our trip very quickly.
