Muy recomendable

Amplio, limpio, cómodo. Tenía todo lo necesario y era una habitación mucho más grande que la que puede haber en un hotel. La verdad es que no usamos el aire acondicionado, así que no puedo certificar su buen funcionamiento.

Sólo tuvimos un pequeño problema de comunicación antes de llegar. Pero se solucionó rápido.

Lovely and conveniently located

It was lovely to wake up to a sea view and the room and toilet were modern and clean as seen in the pictures. The tea set and boiler in the room are a nice added detail and they also allowed us to check out a bit later which was very appreciated.

The plant on the balcony was drenched in water which was attracting some insects. We just stayed a night so weren't very bothered by it but I can imagine it could be a problem if one would like to have breakfast on the balcony.

Es mi segunda visita. Calidad precio el hostal está muy bien. No hay recepción y el edificio no es muy moderno, pero todo está muy limpio y agradable, y las vistas desde las habitaciones son maravillosas. La playa, restaurantes y supermercados están muy cerca, aunque la temporada abre en Semana Santa hasta finales de verano, así que si vas fuera de temporada apenas encontrarás nada abierto.

El agua de la ducha no salía muy caliente ni con mucha presión. Hay muchas escaleras y para personas mayores o no muy ágiles, se puede hacer difícil el acceso.

Acogedora pero mejorable

El alojamiento es muy practico y está muy bien situado. Es bastante amplio y tiene todas las comodidades que se detallan en la descripción.

La limpieza podría mejorar. Al llegar una de las papeleras, la del baño, estaba llena de huéspedes anteriores. Y por la noche, al ir a dormir nos dimos cuenta que una de las almohadas y la sabana estaban manchadas de sangre. Además, se escucha todo lo que pasa en el pasillo y en las habiatacion es colindantes.

Room had a little balcony overlooking the bay. Good for watching the sun set with a beer. Very quiet in December. Friendly welcome on arrival.

Would definitely stay at this Hostal del Cabo again.

Very short walk to numerous restaurant choices, unfortunately they were all closed in the evening this time of the year. Very short walk to the beach and harbor with boats. We walked to a Tapas bar that also was very close. This is an apartment and we should have brought some of our own food because nearly all the restaurants were closed this time of the year. Drinking wine and looking at the beach and Mediterranean Sea from our balcony was excellent.

On March 11, most of the restaurants were closed because it was not tourist season. We were in the San Jose to hike in the Cabo de Gato but we did miss the numerous restaurant choices.

Mountains city

Indeed it was a great weekend at San José and Hostal del cabo is located on top of the hill the city is full of tourist. The room was very clean. I arrived a little late after the reception has closed in the evening because of my work schedule but I communicated with them in time and a video was sent to me to enable me pick up the door key which was fantastic and nice experience.

I like the overview of my window because it helps you to overview the beech and when I walked down the street with my partner in the evening to find bars and restaurants to relax and take some glass of local wine it was full of tourists everyone is busy talking very friendly, but I think the city can be more joyful when visited in the sunshine summer because the rain wasn't friendly this weekend. But above all I in joyed my stay.

Terrible hotel, don’t stay there

Nothing.

The Hotel is rather run down. The rooms are old, the bathrooms smells horribly. The reception is always closed. You need to go to another Hotel (MC San José) for keys and any other issue you have. Balcony door can’t be locked - instead, you have a sign in the room that informs you that the hotel is not responsible for any losses. The worst part, however, was the broken toilet flush. It took them hours to repair and the women at the reception (of the other hotel) kept telling us that ”everything is perfect“. Really odd given that you can’t use your bathroom for hours.
