Our family of of 12 stayed here for a memorial and the location was perfect. The house was very large and spacious and the river was beautiful.
The host was accommodating and friendly

It was a wonderful house. Everything was clean and just as expected. We had plenty of room for our group of 9. Should be noted that the hot tub is only available in winter and the AC in the loft says only use during night hours.

Great home for our cousin's reunion! Home was clean and as advertised. Host was quick to reply to any questions. Area was close enough to Chattanooga to get there quickly, but far enough from town to be quiet and peaceful.
4.7
Gorgeous view on the river, could use more lighting in the kitchen and family room, not enough bathrooms for all the bedrooms. The place was very clean. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
4.7
The home is in need of some minor repairs. Seems the home hasn’t been used for several months when we stayed. Therefore it had a bad smell about it and we had to use scented candles the whole stay. The grill was nasty and no gas to use it. The wooden chairs by the river were in need of replacing. The fire pit was full of trash that was previously burned. I emailed the property manager but no return email even to this day which I’m not happy with.

Lots of great things about this property. Loved the cabin feel and amount of bedrooms. Absolutely loved the back deck and upstairs porch!! Plenty of hot water!! Coffee pot combo has inspired us to purchase one just like it. Loved the large mugs and glassware in the house!! Perfect spot for 9 people to comfortably come together.
Grateful for communication with host. Host allowed us to do family photos on site, which worked out amazing. Quick to answer questions and address concerns.
Only issues were “lipstick and rouge” issues. We know house was right up by river, but the house could really use a good airing out (musty smell). Lighting was dark in parts of house. Ripped screens on upstairs porch and peeling wallpaper in parts of house. Stairs took some getting used to.
All that being said, we would stay again (in warm months) just for the back deck and the views!!! Breathtaking is an understatement!! We spent most of our time on that back deck!!

I’ll hit the character limit, if there is one, before I can completely list all of the BS myself and my family have dealt with through this reservation/owner and the trip itself.
- I was disappointed to see that VRBO didn’t advertise in this listing that a management company would handle the listing (Evolve). VRBO/the homeowner essentially lied in the listing by withholding that information
- this was a birthday celebration reservation and VRBO, Paula, and EVOLVE effectively ruined those birthdays being celebrated along with ruining our family trip
- the first night we’re there, a big storm rolls through. There are leaks throughout the house because of the amount of rain that fell, and because of the lack of upkeep on the property by the homeowner Paula. Some of our personal items got soaked from this which resulted in those family members having awful stinky clothing to wear on the remainder of the trip because….there was also no power from the storm! The power went out early Thursday morning. So now we couldn’t shower, couldn’t flush the toilet due to signs put up by the homeowner, couldn’t warm food, and couldn’t dry our wet clothes that got soaked in their suitcases from excess water pushing through the exterior walls of the home
- the stairs in this home are no where near code and resulted in every family member tripping going up and down the stairs. Some of those individuals that tripped were elderly
- WAY MORE OCCURRED HERE but I hit the character limit

We gathered here to rally around a sick family member. We hadn’t all been together in 12 years. This home surpassed what we had hoped it would be. Large is understatement. View is awesome. Well equipped kitchen. Host was so personable. We made happy memories!

We loved staying here! The view was unforgettable, hot tub/sun room were a fave. We came with a large group and there was plenty of space and a huge couch. Paula was a great host!!

We had a blast at Paula's Place. The veiw across the Tennessee River is Beautiful. There is so much to see and do not far at all from the cabin. Or, just sit and enjoy the visit with the owner Paula. This Lady is awsome. She is so friendly and fun to hang out with and her hospitality is second to none. The cabin is cozy with plenty of room. We have stayed here three times and will for sure be back. Hope to see you soon Paula.

We loved staying at this location, the porch and the view in the morning was perfect for coffee and reading. The convenient location to the city made us feel like we had a quiet place away, but could also go explore the town when we wanted to. It’s the best of both worlds. Plus the hot tub is a nice bonus. Would recommend to the people that want to have it all.

Our family loved the river view and all the grandchildren fished and played along the bank. Paula is a gracious host! The house was roomy and sofa is amazing for a large group.

When you arrive, the majestic mountain and river view fills you with peaceful vibes immediately. The house is just as shown, large and rambling, unique spaces where a family can spread out and enjoy…or gather together for meals and relaxing atmospheres. The hot tub and fire pit were enjoyable, as well as the big dining room. One thing to know is the surrounding properties as you’re driving in are…well…less than standard. But once you get to the property, it’s really great. Weird central time vs. eastern time check out, that caught me by surprise. Paula was very friendly and helpful and we did enjoy our stay very much!!

What a lovely cabin by the river. Lots of rooms and comfortable beds. Well stocked kitchen and a beautiful view of the river. Campfire by the river in the evening. We were busy with a wedding and a college graduation so we didn't get to spend a lot of time there but we would love to come back some day.

Cabin and the view was beautiful. I was sitting on the porch before sunrise. All the sounds of nature in the background. Eagles would fly close to cabin and get a fish for a meal. I had a little luck fishing myself.

Our large group enjoyed our stay. The location was convenient to the main sites we were interested in, the Aquarium, Ruby Falls, the Incline railroad. My husband enjoyed the river and fishing from the bank. The hardest part was trying to figure out the correct time. It seemed to depend what part of the house you were in. Thank goodness some of us “old timers” had analog watches!

Our family spent 5 days at this cabin, and we had a great time. The location is fantastic, as you are sitting literally just a few feet off the great Tennessee River. There is a Walmart, Aldi's, and other stores, restaurants, and shops just a five minute drive from the cabin. You are just 15-25 minutes away from all the downtown action, Rock City, and the Incline Railway. The house is well-stocked with towels, kitchen supplies, basic spices, plenty of plates and silverware. The cell service was spotty, but we turned on our wifi calling to resolve that issue. The only big issues we dealt with were the water-saving devices used on all of the showers and sinks that prevented everyone from getting wet in the shower, or being able to wash hair. That was awful, so we went to Walmart, purchased three handhelds, installed them on each shower, and then removed them at the end of our stay. Problem solved. The only other issue was with Evolve. They were difficult to communicate with, or to get accurate information from. I also did NOT appreciate being charged a $75 non-refundable damage "insurance waiver." We do not ever cause damages, and I take great offense in being charged a fee for a $3,000 "insurance" policy that I want no part of. I almost walked away from this booking just because of this underhanded way of gouging guests for more money. I strongly encouraged the owner to consider managing the house herself, or to use a local property management company instead of Evolve. The owner, Paula, was great and responsive to every question. We enjoyed our stay, and we would return again.
