Détente confort amitié

Lovely central location and super quite.

Not a real issue, but some sun loungers or comfy garden chairs would be the icing on the cake.

A comfortable house within walking distance of everything that beautiful Honfleur has to offer

Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped. The garden was a good size and enclosed which was perfect for our dog. Sauna was an added bonus. We also liked the accessories scattered around the house.

Lack of wardrobes so nowhere to hang up or store clothes. Lack of loungers in the garden.

A great gem in a wonderful location

Its exactly like the photos. A very convenient house with 2 bathrooms (what you need with a family) and a loft style children's area (or could be a great space for a 2nd couple). Our children (9 & 6) loved having their own reading/play area and us adults had the lounge area, fantastic. Very close to shops, restaurants and the beautiful town of Honfleur. The outdoor area with BBQ would be great in the summer months (we stayed in colder months but were very warm and cosy inside the cottage). Everything is supplied, kitchen utensils, cooking pots and pans, enough dinning space comfortably for 6, coffee machine and toaster. Definitely recommend it.

La Douce France packed in one house in a very artistic environment

Here we were in the small and modest garden, with a sauna, of our Norman house, enjoying the afternoon sun. We were having a vacation and we were lucky enough to find this home. It is a nice place where la Douce France certainly applies! A place that is perfect for 4 people or a family with children up to a total of 6 persons. It is also ideally situated; 400 meters further and you are in the middle of Honfleur. The equipment is rich and well-kept and if, like me, you enjoy cooking then you only have to focus on the pleasant shopping; wine, bread, cheese and fish and all the other goodies that are for sale in this artistic town called Honfleur. So we were sitting with a glass of white wine in front of us and we enjoyed the atmosphere and we were able to recharge ourselves well for what is to come. That is what this house offers you. 4 floors of fun and quirky furnishings. We were usually on the ground floor in the kitchen and in the garden and of course there are comments, but don’t you have that everywhere. The feeling of being at home in Normandy predominates and we liked it very much. You can find enough about Honfleur on the net, so we will leave that out. Have fun for those who choose this fine and splendid spot and enjoy! Emile & Wendy

Welcoming hosts and lovely house. A great place to end our French holiday in

Lovely decor and art throughout the house. Great to have a sauna after a long drive, and the centre of Honfleur was only a couple of minutes' walk away.

Disappointing

Location near to town centre

The advertised description thought may be strictly ok, but you be unpleasantly surprised to discover that the kitchen and dining room are on the ground floor, then on the next floor (1st ) there is shower/toilet and the living room, Then on the next floor (2nd), there is another toilet/shower and the main bedroom. Then on the 3rd floor (yes!) there is a ridiculously described as a bedroom with a double bed and two single beds under a half height under the roof room. Horribly hot in summer, impossible to sleep for us and our 2 kids. A fan was available to compensate but really horrible. Next (danger points) The house seems to have been built by an artist without any knowledge of building security. The width of the stairs are barely large to fit a normal size person. A big fat person will never be able to climb any stairs. You will be humiliated if you are fat - so avoid. The wifi box was installed in a suitcase and can catch fire anytime. The kitchen stove is installed next to an oversized refrigerator which is against any design rules. The is no hood on the stove. Well I would banned this rental from Booking.com if ever this was site visited by a qualifies personnel. Overall do not get pleasantly surprised by the said artistic and lovely (overcrowded) decorations, they are maybe there to distract you. There is even a big hifi system with 2 big loudspeakers but no amplifier. So just taking space there. We wanted to cancel on the same day but owners refused. They were made aware about this honest feedback.
