Discover the unique experience and rustic charm of a cabin and pond setting in the beautiful piney woods of Beaver Creek, Louisiana. The natural surroundings create the perfect setting for a family getaway, offering an adventure with nature that everyone will remember for a lifetime.

The cabin and pond are located on the 130 acre Guillory Farm in a small community called Beaver Creek in South Central Louisiana in Evangeline Parish. This area of Louisiana looks similar to East Texas with tall stately pine trees and dogwood and redbud trees growing into the landscape.

The appeal of the cedar boarded Colorado-styled cabin begins with a front porch with a swing, and a huge wood deck which features a swing and comfortable rocking chairs, and a spectacular view of the four acre fishing pond and natural surroundings. The cabin includes air conditioning and heating systems for the comfort of all guests. The main bedroom features two queen beds, while a smaller bedroom has a bunk bed, ideal for the younger family members (you have to walk through the main bedroom to get to the bunk room). A guest can enjoy the extra large lounge chairs while watching a variety of videos on the flat screen television. The kitchen offers a full sized stove, oven and microwave. Guests are reminded that fish frying and crawfish boiling is restricted to the outdoor area. Smoking inside the cabin is strictly prohibited.

The pond has been generously stocked with black bass, copper nose blue gill fingerlings and redear/shellcracker (referred to as chinquapin in Louisiana). The blue gills are automatically fed multiple times daily utilizing Purina Aqua Max high protein fish food, while the black bass diet consists of small blue gill, fat head minnows and crawfish. As of 2010, Hybrid Stripped Bass have been added to the pond for fishing enjoyment and are “catch and release” only. This bass do not reproduce so it is imperative that they be released back in to the pond.

Very secluded atmosphere. Quiet and peaceful. It is what you make it. We wanted quiet, so we enjoyed the peace and seclusion. This would be a great place for kids to run and enjoy as well. The cabin is well equipped. Hot water is really hot. Air conditioning is really cool. Very clean and comfortable. We will definitely plan to stay here again.

Our second time here, and it was just as wonderful as the first. Plenty of bass and perch for the kids to catch. The bass are catch and release. Wet sat by fire and watched them have a ball. This cabin is lovely for a long weekend with the family. Great times, great memories.

Everything was so beautiful-we were able to see deer and squirrels and armadillos and egrets and red headed woodpeckers. The trees at this time of year are changing colors. We had a really great time. Relaxation was number one!!

We had a great weekend here getting away from the noise of living in New Orleans. The property itself is gorgeous, and the cabin is well stocked with anything you need for the stay (including entertainment). It’s a short drive to town for supplies, and I was pleasantly surprised to find a basketball half court around back! We don’t fish, but do love being in nature. It’s a nice stay for a couple or a family. We would love to come back!

Beautiful. With that pond great place to test the skills of Your Grandchildren in the way of fishing and hiking. They had a blast and so did their Dad and I. One could tell You o go do this or that but all you really have to do is enjoy. It all falls into place as Long as You the Adult keep things moving or slowing down (That slowing down comes around about 8:30 pm) BEAUTIFULL!!

weekend of camping and fishing with our family. our kids loved playing hide and seek outside. the property was beautiful and well kept. Its still close enough to town that if you forgot anything you can run and get it but far enough to not hear too many cars passing.

The property was very clean and kept up. It’s just such a peaceful place. If you enjoy the outdoors, this place has it all. Large porch with part of it screened in for when the mosquitoes come out, a very nice fire pit down next to the pond, and you can take a walk around the pond to see all the fish swimming by the banks. With the right bait you probably could catch a few. 😁 We even saw deer tracks…so I bet there are deer that come out also. It is a very beautiful place for rest and tranquility.

This is the perfect place to get away from everything and really enjoy a little R&R! No wifi and sketchy cell service but that’s what we wanted. The living room tv had an antenna to get local channels so it was perfect. The indoor free standing fireplace was the absolute best for those colder nights…so cozy! The property and pond are beautiful and peaceful! We plan to make this a tradition to go here at least once a year.

First off, the owner needs to update photos of the place. It was very disappointing to drive on a vacation property and see an outside cabin ruin down. The back patio porch needs some serious remodeling. The nails coming out of the boards, where you actually had to watch where you step. The railing of the porch needs attending to as well. Don't lean on them. Furthermore, the whole patio is dangerous. As for the stock pond, no ma'am. We fished very heavy for a period of 3-days, with worms, crickets, and even shiners, and not one single bite. You can't feed a pond through your feeders while you have guest there. I can see why one couldn't catch a fish, if was even stock with any. As for the place on the inside. I give the maid a thumbs up. It was cute inside and very well stock with all essentials. Very quite there, except for the heavy travel road.
