About this house rental
Located 5 min from downtown Truckee and Donnor Lake with privet beech access. Master
bedroom downstairs and two bedrooms and loft upstairs. Loft has a set of bunk beds and a queen sofa bed. Gas fireplace in front room. There are three T.V. s and cd player. Patio in back with table and chairs, barbeque, horseshoes and firepit and quite green belt. Tahoe Donner has all the amenities you could ask for golf, tennis, skiing, pools. There is a washer and dryer and kitchen well equipped.

The property was very clean and stocked with everything we needed.

Great property, not the quietest as it fronts a major road but I wouldn't mind moving in. Would have been nice having an evaporative cooler, air conditioning normally isn't needed but it was high 80's/low 90's last week. Also the gas fireplace had a pilot flame on but it's really high, abnormally high and radiated heat into the living room. Not a huge issue as we were out most the time.

We had such a good time staying at the Larsen’s vacation home. They belong to a community clubhouse where (for a nominal fee) we went swimming, did archery, and watched fireworks from Donner beach. The Larsen’s have a delightful home beautifully decorated and perfect for a big family looking to vacation in Tahoe!

We arrived in the evening and the area was sufficiently lit. The lock box is on the side of the garage, not the front door. There was snow piled up on the way to the front door as the snow clearing service clears the driveway/lot, not the pathway to the door/stairs.
The living area is cozy and warm with the beautiful fireplace that heats the area nicely. The rooms are nicely spread out. The loft area with the bunk beds is open to the living area below, so we didn't have our son sleep on the bunk beds even though he really wanted to because we thought he would be disturbed by the light/sound from the adults in the living area below.
The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. We never heard neighbors (though hard to know if they were even around). The loft area also had some games provided, one of which was one we had never played and really enjoyed!
The home was close to downtown Truckee and a short drive to ski resorts, which is why we were in town.
Our last night at the house we lost power due to wind/snow in the area, which was not restored by the time we checked out. We were still able to find a lighter to use the gas stove to cook breakfast before heading out of town since the restaurants were also out of power.
We enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back in the future!

The condo sleeps 8 comfortably and is in a great, easy-access location. Love Tahoe Donner. Owner allowed us to check-in 3 hours early which was nice. Unfortunately, there were a few issues. It felt as though the condo hadn’t been used or cleaned in months: expired food in fridge, mouse droppings in the pantry, moldy smell when we walked in. Also, the thermostat is not calibrated properly. Heat would not run all night, then would start at 4 or 5 in the morning and literally run for two hours straight. Luckily, the bedding was more than adequate and quite comfortable. The outdoor trash bin was full when we arrived, which made it difficult with a five night stay. Finally, as far as the household amenities are concerned…everything is quite dated and not necessarily in working order (microwave, tv remotes). It would also have been nice to have a remote for the garage door.

We had a wonderful stay, your place was amazing, great location, but the dishwasher was full of clean dishes that we unloaded. That was the only small issue.

Fantastic location for golf. Right across the street from Coyote Moon and just a short drive to the other great courses in Truckee. Shockingly comfortable pads and a fully equipped kitchen. Check the kitchen pantry for all the extra beers left by previous visitors. Will definitely consider staying here again.

Overall a good place for a ski trip!
We had a nice stay at the property. The location was pretty good, the only issue is that it is on the main road so going for a walk from there was not really an option - had to drive to different locations every day to walk in the evenings. Also, we had 2 cars and the garage was super small, so hard to fit one car in it, then had to back the other one up into the driveway which was fine, but required a lot of maneuvering. There are a few extra parking spots but they were all taken and with all the snow, was a bit tricky with the parking. We initially had an issue upon arrival, but called the host and she took care of it immediately which was great. I would recommend this place - was reasonably priced and easy to get to and from ski resorts, town, etc.

Great place. Everything you need and then some! It was perfect for our annual family ski weekend in Tahoe. Lois was great and responded to any needs we had during our stay. Will definitely be returning ♡

Wonderful home.
The house was exceptionally clean. All the beds were really comfortable, with good linens and decent pillows. The layout of the house is very comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay here. Well furnished and very clean. Conveniently located. Kitchen was stocked with extras such as condiments and spices. Plenty of paper towels and toilet paper. We did bring our own linens, but neglected to bring dish towels and hand towels. Teens would have liked a smart TV to stream movies. Would definitely recommend!

Truckee townhome
The place is big and well furnished and it was clean. My sister stayed at a different property and complained about the house being old. Everything was great except the tv in the master bedroom was not connected to the tv service. Would definitely stay here again.

Property has NO LINENS !! Never heard of this in a VRBO. Owner need to place this in the listing. When u find out, it’s too late ! Also no paper towels. Lack of toilet paper. No tissues in two baths. Had to buy TP and paper towels during the stay. Would not recommend.

Two night stay
The property was clean and spacious. Easy communication with the owner. The only thing I found strange was linens and towels were not included, and I did not see that listed online when I reserved. I asked about it and the owner did make a concession to let us use the ones she had. Keep that in mind if you are flying in, you may need to bring your own sheets and towels.

Great property, even better location
The property is within a short drive to downtown Truckee with lots of great restaurants. But even better, is the association with Tahoe Donner. Access to a gym, marina, and pools was awesome when we wanted to have a down day.

Great Location
We loved the location of this property! Teens loved having their own space upstairs to hang out and sleep. We had to bring our own linens and towels which wasn't ideal but it worked out alright in the end. Other than that, everything else was great :)

Excellent Accommodations/Perfect Location
We needed a place to stay during our fly fishing excursion in the Lake Tahoe area. This condo was perfect for our needs. The layout was great and the location made it easy for us to drive out to our fishing spots. Plus the patio in the back was a great spot to relax and have a BBQ. The owner was very responsive to my inquires and helped make our stay a very enjoyable one.

Great location / nice condo
We had an amazing stay. Accommodations were on point. Clean and cozy. A couple of things to note, you need to supply your own bedding (sheets) and towels, which was not in the initial description on the listing. Troublesome for people who are flying in and / or don’t have king size bedding. (We had to purchase some). Lacking a few necessary supplies like toilet paper and paper towels. Kitchen towels and hand towels were not supplied either.
Other than that it was a good stay.

We did have a great vacation during the stay, house is close to several ski resorts, kids can also play snow in the back yard. Internet speed is good as well for remote learning/working
