About this house rental

Welcome to our family cottage in the heart of Grand Bend! Come and enjoy our updated, cottage that overlooks the harbour and is within walking distance to a private beach, restaurants, and the main strip. Our cottage boasts over 3000 sq. ft of living area and deck space making it the perfect place for 1 or 2 families to enjoy a beach vacation. We are located on a quiet street close to bike paths and walking trails. There are 3 decks surrounding the property for you to have an outdoor meal, watch the kids play on the cul-de-sac, or simply lounge in the sun and relax. Stroll behind our cottage to some eateries or the kids can go for ice cream by the river. Please note that we have a minimum age requirement of 25 for visitors (exceptions are made for families with children).

You will be able to relax indoors as much as outside. Our spacious, open-concept cottage features an updated chef's kitchen and a family room that walks out to a 500 sq foot deck complete with outdoor furniture and a brand new BBQ. There is a glassed in sun room for those of you who want to relax with a good book, a gorgeous fireplace in the living room, and dining area for family dinners after a long day at the beach. There is even a mud room for the kids to unload their beach gear with a new washer, dryer and an extra fridge. You can also relax with a movie in front of our 60 inch flat screen TV or wander downstairs to play board games with the family! (Please note that in the peak season of July and August, we only rent by the week from Saturday to Saturday.)

Our cottage is also close to golf courses, the new Dark Horse Winery, Huron Playhouse, The Pinery Provincial Park, and the antique market. You only have to walk 10-15 minutes to town where you can enjoy the local restaurants, bars, shops, and the public beach. Our cottage is in the center of it all in Grand Bend! Come and enjoy your "home away from home" at Harbour Woods.

Beautiful, clean well appointed home on a quiet street with an amazing view of the waterway. The house had lots of room and several places to sit and enjoy a glass of wine after a game of golf at a nearby course. Walking distance to a cute coffee shop on the water and about a 12 minute walk to a great sushi restaurant called Midori. Claudia was very helpful and the communication prior to check in was great. The deck was spacious and the sitting area near the water was very pretty. An outdoor broom would have been nice to have to sweep up the debris from all the trees but it didn’t keep us from sitting outside. We would definitely stay here again.

House was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. Host was easy to deal with and responded quickly to questions. Definitely a place we will revisit.

This property definitely needs some major TLC on the exterior and grounds of the property. The description of the property is very misleading. The property is described to have views of the harbour and this is not the case. The views are blocked by trees and heavy bush and there is a tremendous amount of debris on the deck and furniture from the trees. There is no green space for the children to enjoy. The private beach is a 20 minutes walk. Purdy’s is not located across the street but behind the property which you cannot access as it infringes on private neighbouring properties. You will need to walk 6 minutes around the neighbourhood to reach Purdy’s by the harbour. The premium price paid for this property is not worth it if you are looking for a property to enjoy inside and out. The interior of the home is beautifully maintained and well furnished. I wish the exterior reflected the interior as a whole.

The first impression of this home was rather disappointing. While the inside is very lovely, well-kept and attractive, the outside is in need of some TLC. The deck is nice and large and well placed under lots of trees, it was understandable that there would be some debris, but it had obviously not been swept in some time. The gardens look like they had been very nice, they are also currently in need of attention. Other than that the home is delightful.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Very spacious & spotless home - exactly as described. Walking distance to all amenities and most of, located by the best beaches and walking trails - will definitely consider staying here again. If you're looking for peace, quiet & clean fresh air - this is it! Owner is a pleasure to deal with and is very accommodating!

We didn't expect that the house would be so nice and so big, we were surprised when we arrived, I thought for a moment that it was the wrong house, everyone in our group loved it, some even said that they liked the house better than then beach, we hope we can go back some time this summer or in a future trip.
