This FAVORITE property of Red Whale Rentals is the combination of a large, professionally designed private two-story home and an attached oasis-like and equally beautiful private one bedroom cottage.

A set of dutch doors open to enhance the home, with the added space of the apartment for additional sleeping room and space for large groups, and more dynamic shots and angles when being used for commercial video or photo shoots.

This stunning two-story house has served as the location for many commercials and photo shoots! We always welcome photoshoots of any size - reach out for details!

The attached, completely renovated one bedroom cottage for two has its own kitchen, bath and bedroom. Come enjoy this incredible vibe with an open floor plan, plus a private courtyard below with a fire pit, outdoor lounging area, huge deck off the main house, etc.

Just steps away from the picturesque town square with fun pubs, eateries, an upscale bourbon bar, countless patios for eating and drinking overlooking the city, a charming cafe/coffee shop and several brunch spots perfect for group occasions.

Red Whale Rentals has six properties PLUS A VENUE SPACE all of which are steps from one another! Our Venue space “The Cottage @ Red Whale" can be viewed on our website. It can be rented during your stay for corporate meetings, intimate friend and family gatherings. bridal and baby showers, yoga retreats, etc., and is just steps from all of our properties!!

We here at Red Whale Rentals have and will welcome everyone, from the couple hoping for a romantic staycation, to large groups of 40 scattered across all of our properties! Mount Adams is an easy town to nestle down in - without ever needing to leave! All that you need is right outside your door!

Truly, you will find we have everything! From eateries, pubs, museums, and magnificent churches - to parks, a locally-owned art gallery, a dry cleaner, coffee shop and wine bar, and a friendly ice cream shop/mini market.

Mt. Adams also boasts an outdoor rock climbing area (popular with enthusiasts!), a man-made lake, the “Playhouse in the Park” theatre, an outdoor concert venue, various vantage points for incredible city and river views, and dog-friendly drinkeries! There is also continuous live music in various spots around our village.

If you decide to venture outside our neighborhood, we are a 2-3 minute drive from the Casino, a large movie theatre, the Newport Aquarium, Krohn Conservatory, and Downtown Cincinnati (which itself is the home of places such as Saks Fifth Avenue, various 5-star restaurants, etc.!)

Lastly for the organic-minded - we have Rooted Juicery, Maplewood, and Sleepy Bee - all downtown to enjoy!

We are moments from the highway, but to walk to downtown and enjoy the city from a new vantage point, you can take the series of “Mt. Adams Steps” that wind through and take you down.

We had a great time in Cincinnati and loved the house. Very cute decor and the location was super fun, the neighborhood is very walkable and charming. The pool (a city run pool) was not walking distance in my mind, it’s about a 4 minute drive but would have been a tough walk with a 4 year old, especially since it was so hot. But a really fun neighborhood pool. Lots of beds and extra linens and pillows which I really appreciated and great AC which we were thankful for, it was hot when we visited. The deck is super pleasant (the kids adored the hammock chairs) and there were fireworks twice that were so fun to watch . The river views aren’t super visible from the house, lots of trees block the views but you can walk a few feet out the front door to the overlook by the church across the street and have the best views in the city. If I have any quibbles I think they could use more stools at the kitchen table, everyone wanted to hang out there and only 2 seats wasn’t enough. Overall a very fun house, the checkout rules were very reasonable and we had fun!

This property is luxurious and breathtaking. The pictures don’t do the property justice. The views are incredible of the Ohio River and downtown Cincinnati. This was the perfect space to gather and hang out. The host was very communicative and accommodating. If we gather in Cincinnati again, we will definitely rebook this property. We had a wonderful time and stay.

What A View

What A View

Staying next to historic Immaculata Church was quite stunning. They are celebrating 150 years of Cincinnati history. To view it at night and in the morning was awesome. The house was convenient and cozy. Parking is a challenge because the street is one way and narrow. But the charm of Mt. Adams cannot be beat! Once a working Irish and Italian neighborhood, it has morphed into a sophisticated area of homes, shops and bars. Don’t miss the Blind Lemon! It’s a unique bar! It was great to be home for a week.

Fantastic Mt Adams Get Away

As long time residents of Cincy returning for a wedding weekend, we couldn't believe our luck at finding such a great spot for our party of 5. Great layout, calm interiors, plenty of space to be together or alone. And you can't beat the location - always something going on in Mt Adams, plus a quick run down the hill and you are squarely in river-front heaven (we love all the activities the river front offers).
