About this cottage rental
This charming and stylish, beautifully refurbished 1920's beach cottage is 2 blocks from Carpinteria State Beach, 1 block from Carpinteria Salt Marsh Nature Reserve, and a few blocks from the heart of town. Included bikes, beach wagon, beach chairs, boogie board and cooler all make a fun-filled day at the beach effortless. Rinse off the day in our hot water, outdoor shower when you return.
We were honored to have our cottages (#336069 & #248884) chosen to fill the 'Little Gem' category of Carpinteria Beautiful's annual Home and Garden Tour in April 2012. They were also featured in Carpinteria Magazine's winter 2010 edition.
The cottage features tasteful furnishings and decor, refinished hardwood floors throught out, central heat, ceiling fans in the bedrooms, and all the comforts of home. Beautiful, original paintings by local artists adorn the walls. There is a bedroom with a queen bed and another with a bunk bed with a twin on top and a full bed on the bottom. A lovely patio in the yard with an outdoor dining table is the perfect spot for a sunset dinner. The cottage is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. There is a fully upgraded kitchen with stone countertops and new appliances, including a dishwasher, microwave and ice maker. You will also find a washer and dryer for your convenience. We offer a library of DVD's, Apple TV, and wireless internet. Games and books are in the cupboard for mellow days around the house.
The surrounding neighborhood is very peaceful and the neighbors are friendly. There are several antique shops and wonderful restaurants within walking distance, as well as nature trails and bird watching one block away. Or, hop on the bikes and head to town! Thursday afternoons offer a fresh Farmers Market. The town of Santa Barbara is a short drive and hosts a zoo, museums, shopping, golf, art events, botanical gardens, the Queen of the Missions, wine tasting and more! Stop in Summerland for great antiquing, then glamorous, celebrity-filled Montectio along the way.

We had a great stay here- everything was as it was described. The house was newly updated, nicely kept and was really clean. Nice amenities. I would definitely stay again.

This home was absolutely beautiful. So many personal touches that made our stay very enjoyable. The beds are great and the decor was perfect. It’s very newly renovated and is absolutely gorgeous. Even the outside was immaculate. We left there wanting to buy it and plan weekend getaways there. lol.

This property is the perfect location in Carp. Walking distance to the train station, restaurants/shops, and beach. It’s a great spot if you are booking with another family, because the other property is adjacent and makes it easy for kids and families to hang out. The host even gave us early/late check in/out. My only suggestion would to please have shampoo and conditioner available. We will definitely book again.

Our stay was so peaceful and pleasant at this cozy beach house. Everything was as expected and made it so easy to relax and enjoy the area. We loved the easy walking for coffee shops, restaurants and exercise. The host was super responsive when we asked about recommendations. In the cottage was a large binder that offered so many helpful hints and ideas to make the most of the area. We really loved everything about our stay.

It was absolutely perfect! Great location. Everything we needed was in the cottage. So well decorated - like walking into a Serena and Lily catalog. Check - in and out was easy and Kat was very helpful with questions I had before arrival. I hope to be able to come back to this cottage again. I highly recommend it!

The cottage is updated 1920s vintage and both the home and yard are super charming. Great location for walking everywhere and perfect chill vibe. Central to the beach and eateries. Not huge and not for a rowdy crowd but perfect for our grown family of 5 to chill together since kids are fine with bunking together. Bring your own coffee and creamer if you like it asap in the morning. Coffee makers provided. Kat was very responsive and accommodating. We had an excellent time. Definitely would stay again.

The home is exactly as shown in the photos. The town and beach lovely. We especially enjoyed using the bikes provided for short rides to the beach and around town.

This property is impeccably maintained and feels like walking into my own personal beach cottage. The owner Kat is responsive and so nice! We had an issue with noisy renters one night and Kat took care of it so quickly. There were no issues the rest of the visit. She even dropped a little gift which was so thoughtful. I hope we can stay again. Highly recommend!!

This home was charming, clean, great indoor and outdoor space and very close to the beach. My kids loved the window seats around the kitchen table! It was so convenient that she provided bikes, beach chairs, and a beach wagon to walk all of our things to the beach. We loved our stay!

This little vacation home was exactly what we needed. It was close to the beach and shopping. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The outdoor seating was lovely. Bikes and beach chairs were also a plus. Thank you for a wonderful visit. We hope to return again.

This is a great cottage in Carp. Nice neighborhood and an easy walk to shops, restaurants and the beach. The cottage was clean and just as advertised. Kat was a dream host. Our daughter left her airpods (which had fallen in between the cushions in one of the chairs) and Kat was kind enough to send her assistant over to retrieve them for us. Totally out of her way, and very much appreciated! We definitely plan on staying here again. Thank you Kat! :)

Wonderful place to stay. Especially for us midwesterners wanting to escape the cold for a few days. Clean, welcoming property. Great communication with the owner. Very close to the beach and the town. Fabulous restaurants and cafés. Loved the whole area. Especially loved nearby hiking in Ojai and Santa Barbara. Wonderful vacation all around.

Kat was awesome -- responsive and kind. We had a beautiful stay at the adjacent properties. Everything we could have needed/wanted was readily available. The location is an easy walk to the beach, downtown Carpinteria, the Salt Marsh, Community Garden, park, and more! The furnishings were lovely and comfortable. The houses were extensively appointed with every kitchen device you could need (even a salad spinner!). We were able to prepare and serve three meals a day to our entire group with ease. This was a lovely vacation and I am so grateful to know this is just a hop, skip, and a jump away for our next getaway.

We really enjoyed this stay. The house interior was super comfortable and cute. There were plenty of towels, we utilized The kitchen a lot. It was our first time in Santa Barbera and Carpenteria and we really enjoyed it. We walked to pretty much everywhere in carpenteria- island brewery, the spot burger joint, we enjoyed them. We didn’t get to spend any time in the side courtyard but it looked inviting. We did use the wagon and beach chairs on the beach which is a quick walk away. All in all I can’t wait to stay here again.

This charming cottage is nestled in a quiet neighborhood two blocks from the beach and a 90-minute drive from Pasadena. It's immaculate and well stocked, and perfect for 2 adults or 2 adults + 2 children (the second bedroom has bunk beds). There's one bathroom, which has enough shelves to accommodate all the little bottles and jars you may have packed. Kat is very accommodating and easy to reach. Markets are nearby, and Montecito is a 10-minute drive away. We highly recommend Tre Lune, a fabulous Italian restaurant with plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. We cannot wait to return!

My husband, son and I rented the corner cottage for a week vacation and had the best time. The house is a great size, comfortable and has a relaxing beach vibe. We loved having the wagon to haul our son and all his beach toys. I would recommend this house to anyone looking for a great space to stay in Carpenteria!

It’s hard to add to the great reviews so I will just echo them: this is a lovely property. It’s close to both downtown and the beach and is full of thoughtful touches. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning.

We spent a long weekend at the Corner Cottage. The cottage is well equipped and very cute decorated in beach boho style. Perfect for the first post-pandemic outing!Kat was very responsive and helpful!

This cottage is special and lovely. It is one of the cutest cottages in Carpinteria and has one of the best outdoor spaces. There are some comfortable wicker easy chairs not pictured in the photos in addition to the outdoor dining table and chairs. We ate nearly all of our meals outdoors and spent so much time in the garden. The coastal rosemary and olive trees give such a sense of privacy to the space. The indoors was also gorgeous. I can't say enough good things about this cottage. Super comfortable beds. Just a top notch experience in every way!

This was a charming cottage with great amenities, and wonderful outdoor space. I would also say it’s the perfect Carpenteria location—close to downtown and two blocks from the beach. We can’t wait to come back.

Me and my family stayed here for 3 nights. Kay’s communication was great. We love the property and the location, not to mentioned the cleanliness and the cleaning protocol during COVID. We highly recommend it!

We loved our stay. It was the perfect location and house for our family. It was cozy and the beach was so close. The owner was a delight to communicate with. The kitchen was well stocked. The beach toys were a wonderful help for us so we didnt have to pack all our stuff.
