This property was very nice. It had everything you needed and more. Even the smores fixin and all the firewood you can ever want! We had an amazing time!

Our stay was one of the most relaxing vacations I've ever had. The house is exactly the way it is shown in the photos. There are no concerns about an upsell online only to be disappointed when you get there. The house is very charming with everything you need stocked and ready for you. The appliances were all high quality and working perfectly. They have a brand new Weber grill that we enjoyed all week. The hummingbirds drink from the feeder just a foot in front of you on the deck. There are new stairs to the dock that made it feel very safe to walk on. There was plenty of wood for the fire pit. The beds were very comfortable. Matt was very responsive and friendly. I wish there was a bit less shade as you really needed to be on the dock to get any sun, but the view was spectacular and we really, really enjoyed our stay!

The lake cabin was lovely, it was quiet and really private. The property has a great fire pit patio that was fun at night. I highly recommend this property for either a fun week at the lake during the summer or a ski vacation at the winter!

Matt & Linda were the perfect hosts; they thought of every detail and the house was unbelievable. They sent a detailed printout of things you would want to know before we even got there. Any questions were answered quickly. The view was wonderful - lots of days chilling and looking at the lake. I would give them 10 starts if allowed.

We loved spending the week at the Cabin, pictures don’t do the property justice. Set on a quiet private road with a lovely cared for front garden.
We throughly enjoyed being here, our family spent a night as well and everyone had such positive things to say about the place.
Everything was exceptionally clean; which is very important to us. The fire pit was fantastic, the supplied wood was dry and there was plenty of it.
Dock was great, we tied off our rental all week and had a blast. The hosts were easy to communicate with and left s’more supplies for us! We would definitely stay again and again!

Riley Cabin
Property was a great location on Lake Winnisquam. We had a wonderful time. The oven broke on the 2nd day. Owners tried to repair/replace but there wasn’t enough time. We were able to make do with grill and toaster oven. Overall great property and location!

Fun filled Lake stay
We had a great time staying at this property. The house was very clean and it was nice to offer bathroom towels, linens and paper goods. We spent most of our time outdoors. Grounds are sandy and rocky but most of the properties on the lake are. Pictures accurately portrayed the rental.
The fire pit was a fun place to sit and relax and listen to the loons. Kids liked hearing their echoes across the lake!
The lake is beautiful. We enjoyed the sand bar and water sports. Fishing was good too! A bit far from local stores and restaurants/food but that was ok with us. We appreciated being at the quieter end of the lake. Weather cooperated for the most part so that helped too. Would stay again!

Great stay!
We loved the house and had a wonderful time at the lake.
The positives are many:
• Great layout and clean as a whistle.
• Four bedrooms are all very comfortable.
• Great kitchen with everything possible needed.
• Nice dining room that is perfect for group meals (and for working during the day if need be).
• Excellent wifi and cell coverage.
• Excellent heat and AC (we used both)
• Wonderful location on the lake, close to the beautiful loon sanctuary.
• Nice deck with easy access from the main living area of the house.
• Nice dock for boat.
• Awesome firepit area, including plenty of wood, which we used almost every night. (Nice touch leaving the makings for s’mores for us!)
• Hosts are very hospitable and 100% responsive.
There are a few things that can be improved. In full disclosure, because of the good communication with the host, I already mentioned these things and got a great response that there are plans to address them.
• The final steps for access down to the lake and dock are not the easiest. Not a disaster, but you have to step over and around a big tree and root system in the way. I think all that's needs is a few wooden stairs.
• The furniture in the family/living room is not comfortable. The couch and one of the chairs are OK, but the two chairs against the outside wall should be replaced. This would make that room much better for hanging out together there.
• The master bed shower only trickles. Since the downstairs shower is really good, it's not a cabin-wide problem, so it should be readily fixable.
Overall, we'd go back in a heartbeat. Super place.

Wonderful property, great location
My family and I stayed at this house for a week and it exceeded all of our expectations. The check-in/check-out process was the easiest I've ever dealt with, the owners were very kind and responsive, the house was beautiful, and the location on the lake was perfect for us. A wonderful week
Everyone had a great time in this beautiful spot. My grandchildren, one 6 year old and 4 year old twins, loved the kayaks and jumping off the dock. My only issue as Gramma was getting to the dock so I could swim. Very rough going and my daughter had to help me. Embarrassing for me.

Lovely Lake House
Lovely house in one of my favorite spots on Lake Winnisquam. Multiple areas (3, in fact) where you can enjoy the beautiful lake and gigantic trees including: a porch with comfy chairs, a large outside dining area and (closest to the lake) a beautiful seating area with a terrific wood-burning fire pit. The house itself is immaculately clean and well-equipped. This is the first lake house we've rented with Netflix which was a nice surprise. All through the rental process Matthew and Linda were warm and welcoming and responded to questions immediately. A terrific place to spend your vacation.

Beautiful home, perfect location
We had a wonderful time here on our family vacation! The home was spotless upon arrival and even better than the photos. The owners were very quick to respond and went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed...and mail us the items left behind (Thanks Matt!!) The covered porch provided a gorgeous view & lots of hummingbird activity even on a rainy day. There was plenty of space for 8 people.

Beautiful Log Cabin
Mike and Linda were extremely helpful and quick to communicate with. Their log cabin is beautiful and located on the northern part of Winnisquam, which is the quiet end of the lake. Less boat traffic, but great for families and fishing. Dock is deep 4’ to 8’ deep so no issues docking a boat. The privacy of a wooded lot was fantastic and with multiple grills, patio furniture and fire pit, floats, kayaks, canoe, there’s plenty to do. Inside of the cabin had plenty of room for 6 adults and 2 teenagers . I was clean and fully stocked with everything you’d ever need. We’d stay here again if vacationing at Winnisquam

Winnisquam Family Vacation
This was a wonderful property shoreside just a short canoe/kayak ride to the Loon Sanctuary (we went everyday and were lucky enough to witness the pips during one of our sunset travels!). There is a kitchen and dining room with ample space and all the comforts of home. The patios with fire pit are a great space to entertain and relax. Lake temperature was perfect with great floats to enjoy the serene waters!
Bugs in the evening and during our walks on forested road require protection.
If anyone has mobility issues, getting down to the lake may be less accessible.
We loved our stay here as a family and would recommend to anyone craving the beauty of a lakeside retreat!

Fantastic property and amazing location.
This was our first summer lakehouse rental; and it couldn't have been more memorable. The hosts, Linda and Matt, were wonderful to work with. The property had everything needed for a great summer get away. We would highly recommend staying here and hope to repeat the memories again in the future.

Best Vacation Ever!!!
Staying here was our best vacation yet. Matt and Linda were great to rent from and it was so hassle free! The house was immaculate when we arrived and everything was in excellent condition. It was fantastic to have all of the linens already there along with the luxury of having a very nice washer and dryer at your disposal.
The kitchen was fantastic, it was so well stocked that you are prepared to cook anything at anytime! There was great fishing just off the dock and our boys had a blast fishing from sun up to sun down along with kayaking in between. We had plenty of smores and great family fun around the fire pit at night and the AC help keep us cool when the days got hot & humid. This was the best place we had ever stayed and we have been coming up to Winnisquam and renting for over 20 years! I could not think of a better place to stay than here at any-time of the year and we will definitely be back!!

Fantastic summer vacation!
We had an amazing week at the lake in early July. We try to get to Winnisquam every year- this is the first time at this home- and it was one of the best times we've had. The location is great- close enough to Meredith and 93. The end of the lake is very quiet, there are not many boats on the lake, but there are fewer at the end with the house. Fishing was great- we caught several large bass and the water was a little warm. The fire pit allows for some fantastic fires and s'mores.
Matt and Linda were very easy to work with and booking the house was easy. All the details in the welcome package were accurate. It was really nice to have so many towels, great linens, floats for the lake, the boats, and squirt guns. Lots of outdoor seating. (Bring bug spray!)
The house was very clean and everything worked great. The AC units were very helpful on humid nights. There was a ton of fire wood- it was really nice to not have to go out to get more. There are more pots, pans and utensils in the kitchen than anyone could ever use. Lots of storage for pantry items we brought too.
Very highly recommend the home for any time of year- the size, what it offers, cleanliness and location make it one of the best we've rented. We absolutely hope to be back next year!

Great Lake House!
My family and I have stayed at many places over the years from the outer banks to park city, UT and this place was the cleanest by far. The showers were spotless, the refrigerator looked brand new on the inside and all of the bedrooms were in order. This is a great lake house for a small family that wants to entertain guests for a day or two. Fortunately the weather cooperated as well so we were never bored. We rented a pontoon boat from Winnisquam Marina and used it for fishing and tubing for 4 days. The kids caught a few small mouth bass right off of the dock at night as well. Our dog was in the water just about all the time we were there. We went hiking on 2 nice local trails within a 5 minute ride from
the house and even made the longer trip to Mt. Major one morning. The sounds of the loons at night were impressive while we used the fire pit on the patio area. The owners were quick to respond to any questions that we had as well. Even though we mostly stayed at the house, there are things to see and places to visit all within a 20 minute ride. This is a great house to rent.

Wonderful place to vacation!!!
If you want a Great Lake vacation this is the place!! We rented a pontoon for the week and enjoyed it every day. The lake is beautiful and the sandbar not too far away is fun to bring the kids. If you like to cook you will love it here. Anything you can imagine is available. If you like peace and quiet you'll get that too. Morning coffee on the porch listening to the lake and humming birds is magical. The owners are pleasant and are quick to respond to any questions. Would recommend this home for your next get away!!! Peaceful and Serene!
This lake house has something for every age group! Our grandchildren loved playing at the dock, we loved spending time on the porch, viewing the lake and the beautiful surroundings! This home was well appointed and it was apparent that much care has gone into it. We loved the rustic beauty and natural environment that this house had to offer without sacrificing the comforts of home, such as WiFi, dishwasher, air conditioning, etc.
We were concerned with the distance to grocery stores, etc., but shopping at BJ's in Tilton on the way up made it easy! We only needed to pick up a few things through the week while we were out and about.
Some GPS directions took us on dirt roads which we are not used to, however they were well maintained and not a problem. We even saw a porcupine, at least we think that's what it was?
We recommend this house to others, however be cautioned there are steps in the house and down to the lake, which is apparent from the photos, but should be considered when booking, it was not a problem for us however.
Matt and Linda were quick to respond to us without being overbearing.

Lovely property, perfect setting on a peaceful part of Lake Winnisquam.
Beautiful setting on Lake Winnisquam in this lovely cabin home that makes you feel more like a guest than a renter. The lake is absolutely wonderful and the home enables you to enjoy all the special attributes of the lakeside setting with a dock, stone patios, grill and outdoor tables and chairs to be with family. The home is quite cozy with many special features including an oversize dining room table, small island kitchen and 2 large bathrooms on first and second floor. The absolute highlight of the stay was the rock buoy landing where we swam to several times a day to enjoy the lake. Kayaks and a canoe are stacked near the lake easily accessible to enjoy for the week. I highly recommend this property. Owners are very helpful.

Wonderful cabin
We rented this cabin last August. The pictures do not do it justice. The place was clean, the kitchen is stocked with every tool you can imagine! The back porch is a perfect spot to have coffee in the morning, or watch the sunset at night. The patio that overlooks the lake gives a great view of the water. The kids loved jumping off the dock and going for canoe rides. It's a quiet spot, set back. But a short drive to the grocery store or restaurants if you don't feel like cooking. The owners are quick to respond and give you all the information you need prior to checking in , and during the stay. We received our security deposit back almost immediately. We will be renting this place again next summer : )

Beautiful location!
This is a beautiful cabin on the nicest part of the lake. We loved the outdoor decks and the quiet location. The owners were great to work with and incredibly nice. Upon arrival the cabin was very clean and well stocked with paper products and clean linens and towels. We loved building camp fires by the lake and cruising into the north part of the lake to see where the loons are nesting. We would definitely rent here again.

Get ready for the most relaxing vacation!
I don't even know where to start! When I began booking this vacation property in January I spoke with Matt he is prompt and able to answer all questions! When we arrived we met Linda who walked us through the property letting us know where we could find what we need. The property is nothing short of amazing, there was 6 of us total but plenty of room for 8. Outside is where you will want to spend most of the time! The two slate decks are an amazing place to sit and look out onto the water. The dock was big enough for our 26ft pontoon boat, plenty of wood supplied to have a campfire (we didn't, but it's there). If you are scared to rent a house don't be scared to rent this one! I hope to be back next year and hopefully many after that! If you are into boating the house is in a great location, plenty of water skiing and tubing right from the dock and the nothern no wake zone is so close you can see the buoy from the dock. I would give this house 10 stars if possible. More amenities than you could ever imagine. Thanks again Matt and Linda!

Lakefront Perfection in Meredith
Our time in Meredith was perfect thanks to our stay in this wonderful home! Not just a cottage, this house has all the conveniences of home, the owners thought of everything.
If you are a big cooking family like we are, nothing to fear...the kitchen is fully stocked for whatever you could possibly want to prepare, with modern appliances to make cooking a breeze.
Bedrooms are perfectly sized and all on the second floor, with a large living room and plenty of seating to make everyone comfortable. The home even included a Google Chromecast, so no need to bring your streaming device. Having the laundry was a huge bonus - no need to bring home any dirty clothes at the end of the week.
The home is impeccably maintained, inside and out. Outdoor seating for dining and hanging out by the fire pit was super comfortable, and the dock at the water was great for lounging, fishing, and swimming. We were able to catch fish right off the dock, and took a few canoe rides around the lake. Easy to purchase a fishing license online - and make sure you do, as the lake is patrolled.
Groceries and restaurants are about a 15 minute drive away in Meredith, and a small convenience store with deli is even closer - and they have basically everything you could need in a bind.
Absolutely we would recommend this home - we had a range of guests over the week, including children as young as two and a wonderful time was had by all. The owners are terrific to work with and very responsive. Should our travels bring us back to Meredith, this will be the first home we try to reserve!
