If your group is all adults, then all guests must meet our minimum age of 30. • OCCUPANCY | Our maximum occupancy refers to the number of people allowed in the home at any given time (ie includes both guests & visitors), some of which may be mandated by certain regulations. Exceptions towards the maximum number of people allowed may be made for children under the age of 2. Guest(s) agrees that more than the number of people stated on the reservation shall not occupy the premises. The number of guests includes visitors, even if they are not staying overnight. • NOISE | Our homes are intended for relaxing getaways, not rowdy beach parties. Three units in one building. A large family was in the unit above and beside me with children and adults walking/running/yelling back and forth along with running above my unit over the balcony. The A/C unit in the bedroom was very loud and not cooling the unit because the heater was putting out heat.We opened windows but the family was running/yelling back and forth leaving us with zero privacy. We closed all the windows/blinds to have privacy but made that room extremely claustrophobic. I kindly contacted property manager to work something out and no response. I tried calling,texting,emailing for hours and received zero communication. We decided to leave since no contact made me extremely uneasy. The next day we tried to reach out multiple times with no answer, then lunch time they sent a message that they reached out to owners and my refund was denied since “you didn’t try communicating with us”. I contacted vrbo and they said they couldn’t do anything but would send an email to the owner, the owner never contacted me. I never once heard from a person, the only contact was brief through email saying they didn’t hear from me. It’s unfortunate that this rental took advantage of me and made this about payment instead of the well being of their renters. Please Don’t take a chance with this rental, they will say “you never tried communicating with us” like these other reviews listed. I should have followed other reviews but took a chance, and they kept my whole payment.

Overall, this place was okay. Location was definitely a plus - easy, very short walk to the beach near lifeguard station 12.
Kitchen area was well stocked with dishes, etc, but the salt and sugar available were caked and unusable. There were 5 or 6 coffee pods available, but no tea bags - not a huge deal but something we noted. We did appreciate the filtered water and ice cubes!
Living room was just okay - couch is lumpy-ish and uncomfortable to sit on, and noisy and lumpy to sleep on. The available side chair was also uncomfortable (and kind of ugly, to be honest)....an update on furnishings would go a long way. TV was frustrating, as cable and/or wifi kept going out, and the remote did not always work well. We replaced batteries, but I think the remote may need to be replaced.
Bedroom area was fine - bed is too big for the room, so it was not easy to get around in there. Bed was okay, but not great. Mattress could use an upgrade.
Bathroom was okay but needs a real deep clean. There was mold/mildew around the window that did not look like it had been touched or wiped down for quite some time. It also looked like there was pink mold developing in an area behind the door near the floor - another indication that a deep clean is needed.
Outdoor area was really disappointing. The table and chairs were very rickety and rusty and unusable. The fire pit was fun and easy to use, but the area around it, as well as the chairs were very sandy, dirty and dusty - not cleaned each time?

The location is excellent tho 6 blocks from nearest bus stop. I did not rent a car. Enjoyed being close to the beach. The property is dated but comfortable except, mattress in bedroom should be turned because clearly hundreds of people have slept in the same side. However, the property was filthy! Floor is dirty, trash can was gross under the bag, Kuerig had coffee sitting in the drain area and drain area was filthy, no dishwasher and only 2 burner stove top, all dishes & flatware was grimy/ greasy, and who knows when the floor was last mopped!
It's cleaner now than when I arrived and I should at least be refunded the cleaning fee.

Loved this place. Clean. 2 older teens with mom and dad. short walk to lots of white sand and ocean. Perfect beach, beautiful walk with tons of places to eat and shop. Always something to do. Lazy eye coffee just a block or two down. 5 star.

The unit was clean and located close to the beach. The parking carport was very tight and would be nearly impossible to enter or exit your vehicle if all 3 spaces had vehicles in them. We left within 24 hours of arrival as there was a homeless individual passed out in the carport and we did not feel comfortable in this location.

This rental was literally 2 houses away from the beach. This is a clean place. We had trouble with the key code getting into the unit, but when we texted a number in the late evening for "emergency", we received a reply almost immediately and got into the rental. The parking spaces are a tight fit, but doable. Luckily, there wasn't a third car in the garage because we wouldn't know how to get in or out...that's how tight it was. Overall this rental is good.

Cute, Clean, & Nice Outdoor Space
My husband & I will return for sure! The place was super cute, very clean, had a nice outdoor space with seating, plus literally just a hop skip & jump to the ocean. Good pizza place across the street and Draft restaurant is an easy walk. Surf Style managers were very professional and made our trip easy, there was 1 issue with the beach lock but fixed asap. Recommend small vehicle, we had a Ford ESCAPE that fit just fine. Thank you sooo much!

Amazing location in South Mission Beach, it was so nice getting out of quarantine & being able to get up for a morning walk on the beach and relax outdoors. The unit is small but we knew that going in & wanted a clean place near the ocean. For the money it suited the 3 of us just perfect without breaking the bank.

We had a great stay, the place was perfect and the beach was amazing! It really is only steps away! My kids loved the sand and the shells & boogie boarded all day! Parking was a tad snug but our smaller sedan fit thankfully.

Was very clean.. assumed would be a bit bigger.. TV in bedroom worked sporadically, bed was comfy. Our unit was smallest right underneath top unit, quite quiet, though.. actual designated out door area for this unit was not conducive to relaxing too much.. grill was great..

Too be fair we are not from California and found the crammed in buildings sort of crazy.. and a bit stressful actually.. we had center parking spot.. we had compact rental car .. others beside us had SUV’s.. almost impossible to park ,when others were parked .. crazy!,

Quick Vacation
My wife and I decided to get away for a quick vacation. This place was perfect for the two of us. You can't beat the location being a couple of houses from the beach. The location was/is within walking distance from multiple restaurants and attractions. Also, the property management is very organized throughout the entire experience. We highly recommend it and plan on returning soon.
