Summerhouse Beach and Racquet Club is a wonderful vacation destination located on beautiful Saint Augustine Beach. The address of Summerhouse is 8550 A1A South, Saint Augustine, Florida. Besides having one of the greatest beaches on the east coast, Summerhouse has plenty of amenities to keep everyone in your family entertained. There are 2 tennis courts, 4 pickleball courts, 2 basketball courts, 2 children's play areas, and 4 heated pools! Located inside our newly decorated clubhouse is a new fitness center!

Summerhouse is minutes from St. Augustine's historic community and near many exciting attractions. Within walking distance down the beach, is the Matanzas Inlet and bridge which offers excellent fishing. Also within walking distance is the Fort Matanzas National Monument, where you can explore the old fort by taking the FREE boat ride across the river. The Southeast Inracoastal Waterway park located across from Summerhouse offers a hiking trail through the coastal marsh environment adjacent to the Matanzas River.

Summerhouse offers something for everyone...whether your interests are just relaxing on the beach, hiking nearby nature trails, fishing the inlet from the shore🎣, or visiting the nearby historical sites.

Our beautiful condo has ocean and intracoastal views! Our condo is a townhouse with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms upstairs. (Please keep in mind, that we have stairs going up to our unit and stairs inside our unit.) We also have a full-size washer and dryer in our unit. Our main living area is downstairs which includes a large flatscreen TV, our dining and kitchen area and also a half bathroom. Our beach condo is beautifully decorated and a happy place to be😊

The condo was exactly as stated on the website, the owner is beyond helpful and the location of the condo is steps away from the pool and ocean. A great week away! We didn't want to leave. We couldn't be happier with our stay. The place was very clean. The location was great. Beach and pool all in one place. The property was very clean and had good communication with the owner. Anytime we needed anything they were quick to respond. It was a wonderful trip.

Enjoyed our stay in this great townhouse. We had a little view of the ocean from the balcony which had great furniture to just seat and enjoy the ocean breeze. Loved having the pickleball courts right out front very convenient for a morning game. There are lots of steps involved but did not affect our stay just be sure to take into consideration for those in your party if renting

This was a get away adventure for two very busy friends who just needed gal time. Several days anfter I booked ann unexpected death of a family memeber, followed by a child in a major car accident! This vaca turned out to be more than what was needed!! The owners were so kind and so precious! This place was comfy, just a walk to the beach and that was what the soul needed!! This will be a get a way place forever! Quiet, comfy, clean just absolutely beautiful!! Thank you so much for everything

Few hand towels and washcloths stained. Bathroom rugs were not nonskid.Top bracket for handrail on staircase was loose from wall. Couch cover was stained. Owner did come over on first night to remove a dead battery in smoke detector to stop the steady chirping. Great location to beach.

We had a great time in August. We loved the walking distance to the wonderful beach that was never crowded. The stairs did not bother our toddlers. Yes, as other reviewers mentioned, the condo was not within any walkable distance to anything other than the beach and pool, but it was August and it was not the time for strolls anyway. Do your research prior to coming and there will be no problem at all on how to entertain yourself. I wish the renters took better care of the offered cookware – all of it had been scratched with metal utensils. It would be also nice to have cotton bedding instead of microfiber or cotton blend. After we figured out the lock, we didn’t have any problems or questions for the owners, everything worked great. I am not giving 5 stars because my little one developed a cough when he was in the bedroom that intensified towards the week's end and disappeared a few days after we left.

Our 4 day stay was terrific. Communications with Katrina were very pleasant and efficient. The condo was so cute with its decorative beach themed touches. The place was immaculately clean and the kitchen was well-stocked with dishware and such. Beds comfortable and showers modern. Great to have the beach chairs for our quick, easy access to the pristine beach. The sea water recirculated pool was wonderful. All in all a great place to stay, relax and have fun!! Will definitely stay again.

Beach Access; heated salt water pools; quiet & safe surroundings…. Easy access to St. Augustine. Grocery & restaurants close by. Clean, efficient, and modern ‘cottage theme’ condo. We came here for an extended fall break weekend. We loved the location and made good use of the pool and the beach. There were a lot of steps, so it might not be the best location for young children, but our girls (8 and 9) had no issues. We loved the area, and the owner made very good recommendations for restaurants. we would stay again.

Owners were so pleasant and helpful from beginning to end. The condo was beautiful ( remodeled since the listing pictures were taken) and was spotless. We took the short walk to the beach each day and also enjoyed the pool! We had a wonderful week!

Condo was very clean and nicely decorated. Any concerns we had were easily discussed with Katrina, she was a wonderful host. The only reason we did not give it 5 stars is because of issues that may not be important to other guests but as we are probably older than most we found the many outside stairs an obstacle and the distance from the ocean disappointing, the view is minimal so if you're there, as we were, to enjoy the sight and sounds of the ocean you may be disappointed. We also found the futons in the living room a little uncomfortable, but again others may not feel the same. Overall we enjoyed our stay in this beautiful condo.

My husband and I and our three kids just returned to Vermont from a five day stay at the Gaines condo on Crescent Beach. This was one of the most amazing vacations. The condo is immaculate and very well decorated. The owners have made sure that everything that you could need is there. If I could give more than five stars for the communication from Katrina, I would. She checked in several times and clearly wanted us to have a great experience. Everyone at the condo complex was so welcoming and friendly to our family and we honestly didn’t want to leave. The grounds crew does an amazing job as well. This was a wonderful rental and I would highly encourage you to give them a try. I think it’s important to note that it is a private beach and you never have to worry about getting a spot. With 4 pools (heated), a playground, grills, picnic tables, tennis courts, and more…it is paradise! Close to lots but yet far enough to ensure relaxation. We will return!

We loved being central to the beach and matanzas River the tennis courts and pools were awesome. So many nice people and biking excursions were a highlight. Our owners were very considerate to our needs. Look forward to another visit next year💕

Nice place, but....

Everything was nice but just know there are essentially two flights of steps to get to the unit and then once inside a flight to get to the bedrooms (I did know that for the most part going in). The furniture was not real comfy for us but to each their own. One suggestion might be to have a booklet with some pages in it to describe some things about the unit, recommend where to eat and shop nearby, because there isn't much "nearby".

We are usually beachfront people. The complex is on the beach, but this unit is in the back and not directly on the beach. Don't let this deter you, the beach is only a short walk through the parking lot. Own was very friendly and had great communication. Would staty here again.
