Enjoyed our stay there , excellent location if anyone want to experience the essence of forest.
The location was excellent, feel like staying in the forest. The property has a nice surrounding as it is in a cardamom plantation.
Shortage of maintenance & need to be more clean , repairs needed in the toilets fixtures . The hotel restaurant need improvements.

Good location for relaxed stay. Slightly overpriced for overall experience.
The location was lovey with short walk to the river over the road and in really close proximity to Periya National Park. One of the staff, Robin, was particularly helpful in organising safari jeep rides and other activities (although, they turned out to be more expensive that we anticipated). We have very specific dietary requirements which they were able to cater for as we were the only guests staying at the time. Robin was very friendly and gave us a tour of the property and spice gardens attached/ if it wasn’t for him I don’t think we would have enjoyed our stay.
Staff were very quiet and the receptionist was not particularly welcoming when we first arrived. Considering the remote location, he didn’t offer any advice on what to do in the local area or how to get around. My friend’s room was wet all over the floor so had to ask for a different room, but they did give them a free upgrade. Although they could provide food for our specific diets, it turned out to be over priced. We were asked to pay in cash when settling the bill at checkout which but could not give us change so ended up getting charged for something that we thought we had paid for already.

Disappointing
Good location. Friendly staff.
We booked this property because the reviews said that it had “exceptionally clean rooms”. Either my standards are different to those of the other reviewers, or else the place has really gone down the pan since the last review - I’ve posted a picture of the bathroom cabinet to illustrate my point. No housekeeping took place for the three nights we were there. The location is good, very close to the gate of the national park, but that carries with it the disadvantage of being isolated - if you want to go out for a meal you need a car. The food at the hotel is very basic - by way of example, if you ask for toast you get bread charred over a gas flame. As other people have said, the staff were friendly - but when I stay in a hotel I’m not looking to make friends, I’m looking for a clean, comfortable place to stay. This didn’t fit the bill. Considering that we paid only a little less than for a five star hotel in Cochin, this really wasn’t good value for money and I wouldn’t stay there again and definitely can not recommend it.
