Great place

We had a lovely time. Staff was welcoming and friendly. Our room was right at the front desk but also very quiet. Comfortable bed and clean bathroom.

I would not recommend this Guest house to anyone due to the lack of compassion!!

We never got the chance to taste breakfast. The location was fine.

I broke my ankle in 3 place due to uneven ground at the venue I was at for Shania Twain concert. The owner would not compromise on payment by either offering a part payment or offering us another night at the guest house at a different time. I am still in hospital and will be for a few more days due to the seriousness of the break. I feel this was a freak accident and I’m being punished.

Da valutare con attenzione

Location molto comoda per il centro città senza dover usufruire di mezzi di trasporto. Parcheggio per auto riservato ed adiacente alla struttura, personale all'accoglienza cordiale.

Abbiamo trovato parecchio disordine e sporcizia un po' ovunque. Appena entrati (il meteo non accompagnava, pioveva...) si è subito sentito odore di umidità che risaliva dalla tanta moquette a terra. Nel corridoio verso la stanza c'era una panchina con sopra in disordine barattoli vuoti per le pulizie, interni per scarpe, bottiglie di succhi di frutta ma anche lenzuola pulite e questa roba c'è rimasta per tutto il tempo del nostro soggiorno, senza che nessuno si degnasse di mettere ordine o raccoglierla... Sempre nella stessa zona c'era un asse da stiro con ferro ma con degli stracci appoggiati sopra. La camera di piccole dimensioni, è ben disposta ma anche qui non abbiamo riscontrato molta pulizia e l'odore di umidità persisteva. Il bagno è di dimensioni ridotte ed in particolare il lavandino è paragonabile forse a quello di un caravan, piccolissimo. Nessun gancio di appoggio per asciugamani nemmeno per la doccia. Insomma, dal nostro punto di vista, decisamente mal organizzato.

Good location and good sized rooms. Breakfast wasn’t bad either.

The location and the friendly staff, generally the place was clean and had character. It’s close to the town and the sights. It suited our needs.

Nothing really it’s not 5 Star accommodation and I didn’t expect it to be.

really enjoyed the stay, the room was quiet so we had no noise at night

breakfast very good selection and was cooked to order, room was good for the time we were staying , location was excellent with parking which was a bonus, easy access to go into town and easy access to the motorway.

Great quality/price ratio

Very good breakfasts at a very good price. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Great localisation close to Stirling city centre, 5 mins to walk to the train station, then only 40 mins to Edinburgh city centre. Stirling is also very charming and has a castle much better than in Edinburgh.

Windows could be repainted/restored, apart from this everything else was OK.

The shower didn’t work. It was either scalding hot or freezing. I spent 30 minutes trying to fix it. I asked for a refund. They wouldn’t give me one.

Lost cause

Breakfast was value for money

Major leak from ceiling in reception on arrival. Discoloured, brown water dripping into reception area. Washing drying on radiators in main corridors throughout our 3 day stay. Hole in duvet cover on bed Mould in base of shower and on window in bedroom. No socket near the only mirror in bedroom so nowhere to view/style hairdrying. No cold water in sink in bathroom on last night. Scald risk, not dealt with adequately when reported. Overpriced for poor quality establishment. Would not stay again

A steal for the price. Perfect place to stay when exploring Stirling

Due to train cancellations and changes we arrived 3 hours earlier than check in time. The staff were all great and got us in our room early so we could get back out and explore Stirling. The room was huge as was the bathroom. Considering we paid less for the room than a travelodge would have cost the room was at least 2 or three times bigger than expected. Location wise it was a short walk from the train station and the city centre which was ideal.

It was a very good choice for us. Everyone was very helpful. The place was bright and airy and breakfast had good choices. Plenty food outlets and restaurants nearby too.

I am having difficulty with this question but there was not something I didn't like, the only slight irritation was not having a shelf to keep items in the bathroom but there was plenty shelf space in the room.

The breakfast was very good for the price a good plate full. The room was clean and it had a shower ,toilet and good out look with good parking spaces and just 2 mins from town centre.The people in charge were on hand for any questions you may have. 5 stars.

Avoid if you want help if you have a problem and a hot shower

The location is quite central

More like a hostel than a Guest House. Usually there need to be a “Host” to have Guests… There is a reception, empty 99% of the time. There is a buzzer, on the outside… To call someone to come to reception but no one showed up when out shower wasn’t working in the morning… The “receptionist” didn’t come and was found having breakfast. His answer to the shower not working was “but it is new…”, I guess that is a spell that should have fixed it but he must have not waved his wand properly because he was holding a fork and a knife while he said it. Basically, we couldn’t shower but they obviously still took out money. If I had bought a faulty shower I could return it but with a stay, money is lost even if the stay was not adequate. By the way, at almost £100 a night, it’s not like we were in a campsite…

Cheap stay, but wouldn't stay longer then 1 night

The location is excellent. Walking distance to all major tourist attractions. You can park for free on the premises.

The shower is absolutely horrendous, the pressure is going all over the place and there is no controlling the temperature, even though there is a sign that says to let the water run for a couple minutes and it should be fine. When I turned on the sink faucet, there were balls of hair coming up the drain and the water wouldn't go away. There were some holes in the bedsheet and a lot of dust in general. If you are over 1.85m, you are not going to fit in the bed.
