Lovely location - just change the bed mattress

What could be better than a winter escape with an ocean view room in adults only resort!

Sitting on our balcony looking at the beach was the best. The included breakfast was superb and the lychee martinis at happy hour were the best martinis ever. Easy walk to the main street.

The location of the property is across the road from Four Mile beach and 5 minutes walk from Macrossan street with all shops and restaurants.

The hotel is dated 4,5 star, but to be brutally honest it is very far from that. The building requires major renovation overall, the paint and gutters, etc The photos on the internet were deceiving and probably made years ago, as they display luxury and good quality furniture. Unfortunately, the furnishing in our room is left much to be desired with food and drinks marks on the sofas, lamp shades and broken chips on the furniture and tiles. The exhaust fan in the bathroom did not work, the sliding doors in the bedroom did not close properly, the pillows were not very comfortable, etc I must say that the staff was friendly and the breakfast was great, although we have to pay extra for the certain food items.

Quiet, relaxed time away in a spectacular beach side location.

Amazing location, we could watch sunrise and hear the waves crashing on the shore. A wonderful getaway for two people.

We couldn't retrieve our washing from the washing machine because the door malfunctioned. A maintenance person attended and it took him a while to retrieve our washing. Reception mentioned that this happens regularly.

Our second visit should say it all. Breakfast was excellent 🤗

Environment and staff were excellent. Room service a lick and a promise but we really didn’t need more.

Lack of plates and cutlery. Only a set of 3 which meant using dishwasher after each meal.

Good location not sure worth the price.

Good coffee and breakfast food and good location.

The room itself was disappointing. Our room had paint peeling off, a door was off its railing, there were stains on the couch, there was a hole in the ceiling, the bathroom door would jam. Lunch service would also be better if it went later in the day.

Fantastic hotel - cannot recommend highly enough.

We were delighted with the hotel and our room. The welcome was warm, we were allowed to check in early and were offered a complimentary transfer for our travel on departure. The location is superb. Breakfast is very good. We will rebook this hotel if we return to Port Douglas.

Generally everything was excellent. The only minus during our stay was that one day the hotel was short staffed so the bar and restaurant weren't open during the day which was inconvenient (had to walk into town to get drinks and lunch).

Location,no boisterous families,the pools and spas,the wifi,quiet ambience saw few other guests,heard nothing from adjoining rooms,streaming channels,the room and facilities,the bathroom,the bed,the aircon and ceiling fans,the seaview room views,beach across the road,short walk to shops and restaurants,the quiet street,the friendly helpful staff,

Perfect location for a couple's getaway

Quiet and peaceful without kids running around. Friendly and helpful staff, room was clean and comfortable, it had everything we needed. Location was fantastic - right on the beach and easy walking distance to shops and restaurants as well as the wharf. Enjoyed sitting on the back porch looking out over the beach. Hot breakfasts were good value at only $10 extra and gluten free bread with the continental breakfast was provided free on request. Great food and drinks at the restaurant for dinner.

No real dramas. Husband wasn't super impressed with the continental breakfast but it was free so I wasn't complaining. Coffee was a bit overpriced - $7.50 for a mug on specialty milk, and I received a flat white rather than a cappuccino as ordered. (If you're not going to write it down, make sure you can remember it 🙂)

Relaxing time and quiet. Great location. Room was great and staff were very helpful and friendly.

Staff were lovely. room was excellent. location was very good and view of the beach was perfect. complimentary breakfast excellent. cleanliness of room excellent.

Completely understand that cafe and bar were unable to open on some days during our stay due to staffing...like everywhere else :) Pool and area were quirky but grew on us :)
