Beautiful location and great value hotel.

Friendly staff, beautiful location right on the lake. Great pool, seldom busy. Adequate breakfast. Well stocked bar. Clean and very comfortable rooms, beds were lovely. Nice balcony in room. Very dog friendly.

The restaurant served good food but the service was slow and the hot food on several occasions was not really hot - more like 'warm'.

Fantastic location, basic rooms but has everything you need. Careful with kids, vegetarians

The location cant be beaten in the region, we think. Right next to the lake but only a 15 minute walk to the next beach and a 30 minute walk to the bustling zone of soorts with all its shops and restaurants, we had a great time choosing from the various offerings. Car parking is plenty and the pool, albeit small and intimate (careful if you have loud kids) is a welcome place to cool off after a morning on the beach in the sun. Breakfast was on the smaller side, but had everything you need. I personally would prefer more choice of cereals (muesli, or granola), but that's about it. Restaurant food in the evening is of fantastic quality, but the choice is a bit lacking (especially if you don't want meat every evening!!) In a nutshell, a great place, a great location, maybe not ideal for fuzzy kids (see below)

The rooms we had were on the smaller side, but had everything we needed. The only word of warning we give, the half board menu isn't very kids friendly (at least not for kids born and raised in the UK). The staff tried to accommodate us with some spaghetti, but it was clear that was only an afterthought. The grown ups food is of fantastic quality and we enjoyed it very much.

The dinners were exquisite and , if you stay here it’s worth the extra for half board, very good french cuisine. Also the kids loved the pool, was a good size even when busy.

Great Value - clean hotel

Wonderful location overlooking the lake. Very comfortable beds. Pool looked good but we didn't try it out. Restaurant had view of lake. Food was great. Very friendly staff

The Lacotel is a very well appointed and situated hotel - great stay!

The hotel is well known to us and situated overlooking the lake in Hossegor. There are plenty of areas inside and outside to sit and relax and the heated outdoor swimming pool a delight. The staff are charming and both dinner and breakfast most enjoyable.

Our only criticism was that the hotel did not supply towels for poolside use. Had that been mentioned on the website we would have arrived better prepared.

Excellent.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is nicely located with views over the lake and our room enjoyed a large balcony. The dinner and breakfast were excellent and it was nice to have a comfortable bar and lounge area, so often lacking in French hotels.

The toilet and bathroom were rather compact. Nothing else!

Nice Hotel next to the Lac Hossegor

Super nice staff. Really helpful and friendly! It was quite at night and lots to do in the surroundings. Big plus, that dogs are accepted.

For us ok. But the bathroom could use a little makeover.

Don't bother. Overpriced and better value in Hossegor for same price.

Staff were friendly and helpful enough for France. Asked for an ironing board however and was told to come downstairs and iron my clothes in a random conference room instead of it being brought to my room or even allowing me to bring it to my room myself. For the price we paid that is shameful service.

Room was small, old, basic and extremely over priced even for Hossegor. Don't waste your money with this hotel.

Great place for a holiday

The large bathroom and terrace. The restaurant is exceptional. The meals are balanced and tasty. The chef chooses quality over quantity we had half board The evening meal was served outside in comfortable chairs while we watched the sunset. Wondeful break.

Pleasant

The location is nice and we were able to have breakfast on the balcony. The staff were very helpful even though the sanitary measures meant that there was no catering service.

We thought we were going to be able to see the sea from our room, but all the rooms on the seaward side were being renovated or were taken. We made the most of the sunrise instead. Would have been a good idea to have a kettle in the room since there was no catering.
