Our family and extended family members recently stayed at The Lighthouse during the 4th of July week. We had a great experience overall. The home itself is in great condition and very clean. We had close to 20 family members staying and everyone was comfortable in the bedrooms and the overall space. We loved the location and the walk to the beach was pretty easy for our group. The house has a wagon and beach chairs along with beach towels which made things easier to transport items to the beach. We loved hanging around the pool and the our kids had fun playing ping pong out by the garage. The property manager and owner are very responsive if we had any questions. Our air conditioning did go out on 2 of the floors during our stay on the 4th of July which was a holiday, however, we called the property manager and they quickly came over and had a company come out and fix the air within an hour and this all happened at 11pm at night. The responsiveness for taking care of us when the weather was so hot was truly appreciated. The house is nicely furnished and decorated. We loved staying there and had a great time!

It included all the amenities we could have asked including some very nice extras like an exterior shower w/ warm water, an ice maker by the pool, a backup propane tank (which we needed) for the grill, a wagon to haul stuff to the beach, an extra refrigerator in the garage, etc. This house delivered everything we needed. Great location and beautiful home. The owner and property manager would responsive and great to work with. The house was really clean when we arrived and the property manager stopped by to check on the cleaning and see if we needed any instructions on how to use anything in the house. Plenty of room for the 15 of us and having the wagon and the beach chairs onsite was great. Would stay there again!

The house exceeded all of our expectations. It is better than the pictures show. There were 17 of us and there were lots of tucked away spots for small and large groups to gather. Nearly all of us could sit down to the dining room table for meals because it is huge. The pool and hot tub got plenty of use. The Shops a short walk away were awesome for souvenirs, groceries, ice cream and etc. There were lots of great pool/beach toys, games, and beach chairs. We appreciated the owners providing an extra pack-and-play and booster chair.

The house was perfect for our needs. Everything was as described. Layout works great for a large group, plenty of room to gather, both for meals and just hanging out. The support staff were very responsive and proactive, even dropped off addition laundry detergent. The owner was great to work with, and even checked in during the week to ensure everyone was OK. Even though the house is not on the beach, it is very close by and a very easy walk. And a great location to access the rest of the island.

We stayed for a week over spring break, and everything was ideal for our large multi-family group - walking/biking distance to Coligny and the grocery store (with bike path directly across the street), beach a few minutes away, incredible pool and giant hot tub, house was fully equipped. We loved the large bedrooms so everyone had their own space to retreat to. The screened-in porch was perfect for reading or playing games. The giant dining table facilitated large group meals. The host and house manager were easy to reach. Overall this was a perfect rental and we’d happily stay here again.

There are minor changes that could be done to make the house more functional (a door on the bunk room to limit noise and give privacy, more kitchen towels, end tables & lamps for each side of the bed, etc) but we loved our stay and would rent again!

Property was perfect for large groups. We had 15 people ranging from 7-78 and everyone had plenty of space. Well stocked kitchen with extra pantry space. The owner and property manager were extremely easy to contact if needed. The location of the house was well suited on the island but not a direct path to the beach. We had to walk down the main road (only 2-3 houses down) to get to a road with a beach path. We road bikes mainly and there was easy access to the bike path just across the street. Close to Coligny Plaza for shopping and dining. Overall, I would highly recommend this property!

My wife and I took our growing family (4 daughters and their 4 spouses/significant others) plus 4 grandchildren - total of 14, for our first ever week-long family vacation. Every aspect of our time on Hilton Head and at this beautiful house exceeded our expectations. Too many positive highlights to mention them all, but a few stood out:
A. Adam (owner) and Rena (property manager) were great! Helpful and reachable.
B. All adult bedrooms had their own full bath. HUGE plus.
C. We paid to have the pool heated. Another great feature as the little ones really enjoyed the pool.
D. Loved the huge, bar-top height dining table. All 10 of us ate dinner together with room to spare.
E. Morning coffee on the screened in porch really got the day off to a nice start.
F. Short walk to beach AND town for lunch, shopping and ice cream
G. Generous supply of beach and pool toys to use...only recommendation is if there were 2 or 3 beach umbrellas available.
H. The spare frig in garage another nice plus...we kept it full of beverages most of the week!!
I could go on, but it's fair to say we will be talking about our amazing Hilton Head family vacation at this property for many years to come. And I can say with certainty we will be back.

We arrived to an immaculately clean HOME—not just a house, which was perfect for our many grandchildren and adults alike. We had a fantastic time at the beach—a short three minute walk away—as well as fun in the well-maintained pool and hot tub, not to mention the large screened in porch.
And the kindness and hospitality we experienced was unprecedented—from Heather’s welcome card and bottle of wine that greeted us (a first in the 25+ years we have been Vrbo-ing!), to the property manager, Rena, dropping by upon arrival to ensure we knew how to operate the many amenities, to Adam checking in with us before, during, and after our stay to be sure all was well—which it most definitely was.
The Lighthouse is a gem, and we were fortunate to find this treasure!

This was our first vacation which included my two sisters, their families, my children and grandchildren! It was everything we were hoping for! Great weather, great location and a beautiful home! My 5 year old grandson said it was the best house ever and cried the night before we left! They all wanted to stay! There was plenty of room and we had 12 adults and 4 children! The beach was a short walk, very easy! There is everything there you would need for the beach! The property owner was in contact and very accommodating! The property manager was outstanding! We take regular vacations with our grown children and their children. This was one of our favorites! Our group was nine adults and five children…there was ample room for the adults to have their privacy and plenty of space for the cousins to connect. Pool was a generous size and lots of pool toys. Also enough beach chairs and sand toys for everyone. The kitchen was well equipped with Decent cookware And plenty of dinnerware, flatware, and glassware for indoors and out. We rented bikes and a golf cart which made it easy to get around. The beach access was a quick 3 minute walk. The house manager was very helpful with any issues we had… I feel like I made a new friend In Miss Rena 😊. Don’t hesitate to rent this beautiful vacation home in Hilton Head…we’ll be back for sure!

This was our first time with any vacation rental property and 34 North Forest Beach and Adam were amazing! I had many questions and Adam was always prompt with a reply and made the whole process so easy and seamless. The property manager, Rena, was also very helpful during the week.
This house was perfect for our family of 18 ranging in age from 2 to 86. The kitchen had everything you needed for making meals for a large group. It even included a large griddle for our pancake breakfast one morning. The main floor open area was perfect for all of us to hang out together. We loved the huge dining room table that accommodated all of us for meals. The screened in area outside the family room was perfect for our morning coffee or to enjoy the fortunately rare outburst of rain. The bedrooms were nice sized and the many bathrooms made it so easy for showers after the beach. The pool was a great size compared to others we saw in Hilton Head. Our pool volleyball games were a blast! The outdoor areas with ping pong and corn hole were also a hit. We didn’t use the hot tub since it was July but know that this would be amazing for cooler weather.
The proximity to the beach made it so easy. Just a couple of minutes to a beautiful beach with the warmest ocean water I’ve ever felt! The beach towels, beach chairs and wagon that were provided made our frequent trips to the beach so easy and so fun!
I would 1000% recommend 34 North Forest Beach and hope to return for another trip!

It was nice to have a very spacious screened porch and undercover area with ping pong etc. The layout of the house worked really well for our family of 21, including 11 grandchildren ages 2-8. I cannot imagine a better house for an active family than 34 North Forest Beach. The accommodations were just as presented in the VRBO description. This home is VERY well taken care of and spacious:) Our adult kids and grandchildren voted this our number one choice ever and we all have vowed to return. We paid to heat the pool and in late May it was wonderful. Definitely rent bikes for the whole family because it is so easy and fun to get on the bike path right across the street and ride down to Coligny shopping and eateries or go around the corner and ride on the beach! We feel very blessed to have spent a week here with our family.

This house was perfect for our extended family vacation! Plenty of room, a huge table we could all fit at, and just the right number of en-suite king bedrooms and bathrooms. The bunk room even had two full bathrooms in it. The pool area was great. Lots of places all over the property to hang out and catch up. Several of us worked during the day, and it was no problem finding quiet spaces to do that. The kitchen was well stocked, and the owner even sent me pictures and a video of everything that was in the kitchen cabinets and drawers so we would know if we had to bring anything else. So helpful! Rena the property manager was super helpful and quick to respond whenever we had a question. She even dropped by when we first arrived to show us how things worked. Short walk to the beach (maybe 3 minutes), and a little further walk to shops and restaurants (maybe 10 minutes). 5 minute drive to a Publix. We would definitely stay here again!

Our family LOVED our trip to Hilton Head. We had 11 people, ages 2 through 59, and yet sometimes it felt like no one else was in the house. The house has a great floor plan! People can spread out and have their space and then come together to swim, walk the beach (3 minute walk), or walk to the shops and restaurants on the trail (7 minute walk). We paid for pool heat, which made the water hard to get out of. Many times when we pay for heat, it’s hard to tell it’s on. This pool was like bath water! Comfy beds, clean and great location, what more could you want? Adam and Rena were awesome, very responsive! Look forward to returning to The Lighthouse!

We had a spectacular time at the house! It is very clean, very well maintained, many wonderful amenities, location is exceptional and much more. The owner and property manager are truly excellent!! They communicated extremely well, Property Manager walked us through the house explaining everything and also sharing insights on local activities. The location is terrific within a very short distance of the beach, shopping, food, etc. We have stayed at many Vrbo vacation homes over many years and this was the best experience we've had!! I consider myself an expert at finding vacation houses on VRBO. Over the years I’ve been renting off this site I know what to look for and what to avoid. I mention that as this house was much better than expected.
For one the house is a shorter walk to the beach as described. Best though it’s only a 5-7 minute walk to lots of shopping and dining. We would walk the pedestrian path to Coligny Plaza and after walk back to the house on the beach - a perfect lap if you will.
We had 16 people and the space was perfect for all ranges of kids, quiet adults who read and those that like hanging on the porch.
Too many great things to list so just know it’s a must rent in my book. The owner and his property manager were beyond excellent.

We just returned from staying at the lighthouse for a week with my college tennis teams! The house and location were perfect for our stay in Hilton Head. The layout of the house was great, with plenty of room for 20 people find there own space and it was equipped with all the things you’ll need for a week long stay. The owner and property manager were great to work with and were always available if needed, and checked in during our stay. If you’re looking for a large house in Hilton Head Island for a large family to stay in that’s close to the beach and Coligny, no need to look any further than the lighthouse!

Our large extended family rang in the New Year at the North Forest Beach home. It was the perfect backdrop to our Hilton Head Island stay. Our family included 4 grandparents, two teens (16 & 19), 2 young children (6 & 2), and adults. We all loved the house. The house was clean and well appointed. I've stayed in numerous rentals and by far this was the best stocked kitchen in regards to the quality and quantity of cookware, plates, drinkware, utensils, and appliances. However make sure you shopping list includes basics like salt, pepper, oil, sugar, and cleaning supplies as none of these items are in the home. We opted to pay for the pool to be heated and so glad we did! The teens also enjoyed the ping pong table. The house is in a great location: close to the beach, a walking/biking path, and an easy walk to Coligny Circle (restaurants, shops, grocery). Plenty of room to spread out in the house which is beautiful. We only had 2 very small issues which were corrected within 24 hours. Both Rena and Adam were so responsive, helpful, and welcoming. We were also greeted by a lovely welcome gift. We had such a good time that we are hoping to return soon for another stay at the North Forest Beach home.

This house is perfect for several families traveling together. The beach is around the corner and very accessible. We loved the kitchen and how stocked it was for cooking. We’d definitely rent again!

Our family of 14 adults and five children occupied this VRBO home and it was a perfect match for such a large family gathering. All correspondence or request to Rena, the property manager, or Adam Ross was immediately responded to. We collectively give this VRBO a 10 out of 10. They left a beautiful bottle of wine & a welcoming note upon our arrival & each bathroom had a small sachel with soap & shampoo. Despite a recent hurricane, the home & grounds were clean & ready for our arrival on time (even a bit early). A few things that would have made things easier as guests and new arrivals to the area would have been a basket containing "mini" basic essentials such as laundry detergent, dishwasher pods, coffee filters, cream rinse & salt/pepper. Most basic essentials are typically found in a hotel suite so we expected a VRBO with a week long stay to offer the same as well as starting supplies for major appliances. Before we could settle in we had to immediately go on a big shop for essential items & even a simple sponge ffor the kitchen.. We did request some cleaning supplies (since there were none) and additional hangers and that was promptly provided upon request. We feel that the VRBO listing showing bikes in the garage is misleading and we also felt that there should be a dresser in the two bedrooms that have the adjoining bathroom just so clothes can be put away and you're not living out of a suitcase. With 14 adults and five children the above items are the only things we had concerns about. Other than that the home was well stocked with kitchenware, there were plenty of towels, a great ice maker on the lower level and the furnishings were perfect and beautifully done. Having each room with its own bathroom and television was again, perfect for the needs of our family. With the exception of the bikes, everything about this home and the layout was more than we expected and very much like the pictures on the VRBO site. We would absolutely without a doubt use this VRBO again. It's hard to satisfy 14 adults but they managed to do it exceptionally well.

I cannot say enough good things about this location. Property is beautiful, large, very well maintained and has a ton of amenities. The elevator was great for moving larger materials and elderly guests up and down. The location is also great. It's far enough from the main beach area so its not very crowded over here. Adam, heather and rena made the stay excellent. will stay here again for sure.

The house was perfect for our group. The beach was an easy shorty walk and we enjoyed the close proximity to Coligny. The house offered plenty of space to spread out but also offered ample room to hang out together in the large kitchen/family room, as well as, the outdoor space. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a great time staying at this property. The pool and outside space were perfect!! The inside space was perfect for our large group. Rena was very responsive. My only suggestion now that COVID is manageable is that the house keep basic supplies such as salt, pepper, spices and basic supplies on hand. Would definitely love to return in the future!
