About this house rental
Originally a modest log cabin, this home has been expanded to a generous 6 bedroom home with lake views from all living spaces. A pleasant mix of rustic and contemporary charm, this is an unforgettably pretty place to stretch out and enjoy the wonders of Trickey Pond, a true gem of the Lakes Region. A well-maintained deck stretches across the entire back of the home, wrapping around one side into a huge dining area (accommodates 10-12) with party-sized gas grill just a few steps below. Beyond the deck is a sweeping green lawn with the perfect combination: expansive water views with total privacy on either side. Beyond, 182 ft of private waterfront connects you to one of Maine's cleanest lakes, with a gradual shallow entry that is perfect for young children. Included in your rental fee are a canoe, two kayaks, 2 youth and 2 adult standup paddle boards with room for a motorboat at the dock. Back inside the house, take your pick: water-gazing from the dramatic 2-story living room, meal-making in a huge country kitchen, ping-pong-playing on the "other side" in the game room, complete with a second kitchen and bar. In between, a private office with water views means even the workaholics will be happy. This is a perfect house to spread out in. In perfect contrast to the privacy on the lake side, the house is on a residential street, perfect for walking, biking, stroller-pushing and meeting great neighbors. This is a safe, friendly neighborhood just 10 minutes from the village of Naples (groceries, shopping, dining, gas) 30 minutes to the quaint town of Bridgeton, 45 minutes to the dining, cultural, coastal offerings of Portland. Or, head west to mountain trails and vistas. So much to see and do within one hour of your tranquil Trickey Pond hub.

We love staying at Leaning Pines. It is always clean and we love the location. The yard is shady with waterfront access which was more important when the grandkids were smaller but they all love now anyway! The owner is always responsive should you have a problem too. This was not our first time and won't be our last visit to lovely Naples.

The house is absolutely beautiful and has anything you might need. Trickey Pond is clean and clear and my kids loved swimming and using the paddle boards. The owner is super helpful and easy to communicate with. Would definitely stay again!

Loved our family vacation at Leaning Pines on Trickey Pond. The house was perfect for our needs. It’s a little bit unusual in its set-up, but that’s what made it so charming! It’s well stocked, from towels/basic bath items to paper goods and every type of cooking gadget or utensil you’ll ever need! The ping pong table/bar area was also well stocked for entertainment. Toys were enjoyed by all! Lots of outside toys as well! Water was beautiful- very clear and perfect for swimming. Fishing was great! Owner was extremely responsive and easy to communicate with. The house is well loved and we appreciated that! Hope to return again!

This is our second time staying at Leaning Pines and it was just as wonderful as the first time. There was a small glitch when we got there but Lori reached out immediately and it was no problem at all. She is great to work with and the property is just beautiful. We actually booked 2023 while we were there as there was an opening and we grabbed it before it was gone. I've rented many VRBOs over the years and this is by far the best property/location and owner.

Incredible location. Great place for the children to enjoy the water. Everyone had a week they will long remember. The kids had a great time in and on the water. Diving off the floating dock, kayaking and using the paddleboards and the canoe. It was great that the various sized life jackets are provided. Gave the parents and grandparents much comfort. The house worked really well with the number and variety of beds. The ping pong table was a plus on the one rainy day we had. Trickey Pond has the cleanest, clearest water I have ever seen!

This property was absolutely perfect! There were 5 adults and 5 children sleeping at this home and there was ample space for everyone to spread out and at the same time the rooms were big enough that everyone could congregate in one room to be together. The outdoor space was stunning (chef's kiss). The floating mat was a TON of fun for everyone - lots of flips without worrying if the kids are going to hit their heads and it was easy for everyone of varying ages to get on. The dock was a perfect place to drink your morning coffee and the deck outside was sprawling. The house is beautifully appointed, and there are no questions left unanswered. A sweet welcome package greeted us when we walked in, and everything was labeled so we never had to guess or open every cabinet to wonder where things were. Lori was extremely pleasant to communicate with, very responsive, and I wish she was closer so we could meet in person! I highly recommend this wonderful property if you are looking for a place to stay in Naples, or in that area. You will NOT be disappointed.

This was the fourth time we rented Leaning Pines and will probably not be the last! The lake is so beautiful and the house has plenty of room to spread out. The owner makes every attempt for your comfort and enjoyment. It's not a noisy, crazy type of lakeside, great for relaxing, kayaking, paddle boards, water skiing, etc. We loved our time in Naples and hope we can return again! RMN from CT

The setup is a bit unique so just make sure you are comfortable with the flow of the house vis-a-vis bedrooms.

Our all adults family really enjoyed staying at Leaning Pines and taking full advantage of all the water activities. They had grown up with summer trips to the lake and had fun seeing all the changes over the years.

Truly amazing!
Our group had an absolutely amazing time up at the lake. Lori was extremely responsive with all of our questions. We loved the little notes all around, made it helpful especially on the last day. The property was amazing and clean, the pictures did not do it justice. We had a group of 11 people. 7 adults and 4 kids. There was plenty around for all of us to do and enjoy! I definitely recommend long lake marina and renting a pontoon for the day, one of the best memories of the trip! Thank you Lori to opening up your gorgeous house, we have memories that will last a life time!

Amazing Maine Vacation
We had a wonderful week at Trickey Pond! This house is a great size for 2 families with more than enough space for everyone to spread out. Everything was immaculate, and very well organized. We all enjoyed the kayaks, canoes and paddle boards provided, including 2 kids sized paddle boards which the children could easily master. The pond is beautiful, crystal clear and quiet as well. If you’re looking for mornings with coffee on a large wrap around porch over looking the water, afternoons in the sun swimming and boating, evenings by the fire pit and nights sleeping to the sound of the lions, then look no further!

Picturesque and peaceful lake retreat
Leaning pines was the perfect house for our multi-generational family vacation. The view was impeccable whether it be from the deck or master bedroom balcony. The water front area was well equipped with life jackets for all ages, paddle boards, kayaks, and a canoe. The swim out raft was the highlight for the kids! We truly enjoyed our meals on the deck with ample seating and a beautiful view. The kitchen was well equipped and very spacious. With 6 bedrooms, our party of 8 all slept comfortably. The bonus game room with the ping pong table provided a great hang out area to for all of us and we used the bar area as our “smoothie bar.” The fire pit was great for s’mores in the evenings for the whole family. Lori was a pleasure to work with and extremely accommodating throughout the whole process! We loved our time there and can’t wait to return soon!

Perfection! Never ending fun😎
A perfect place to rent. Thank you Lori for your prompt answers to any questions we had about your rental. We had an absolutely wonderful time! The house was comfortable and had everything we needed. Our family of 12, ages 5-70, were in the water all day long, we even swam after dinner a few nights. Such clear, clean, warm water. It was great to have a dock and the floating dock as well. We enjoyed the fire pit in the evening after having dinner together on the deck. The 2 kitchen areas were stocked with everything we needed. Loved the notes left around the house to label lights and provide instructions. We look forward to coming back again. We’ll share pictures soon of our perfect vacation! The Kimball Family.

A Large Peaceful & Beautiful Lakeside Paradise
Leaning Pines is all it’s cracked up to be! Peaceful, clean, fun, plenty of room and just PERFECT for a large family getaway. A party of 12 which included parents, big kids, and grandkids fit wonderfully and everyone still had space to spread out! The place is a fun mix of old and new! Outside of wishing there was a big sectional in the great room where we all could sit and watch the lake and look at the beautiful stonework of the fireplace at the same time - we wished for nothing! There is even a game room with a ping pong table! The owner is wonderful and great to talk with! Awesome paddle boards and kayaks to play with too! The wrap around porch was a great place to dine as a family every night! Book this place now! We hope to return!!!!

Perfect family vacation spot
Lori’s lovely house on Trickey Pond was absolutely perfect for our annual extended family vacation week. Our group ranged in age from 6 months to 76 years and this house had everything we needed for everyone to have a fantastic time. The lake is beautiful, with a perfect sandy entry for young kids. The included paddle boards, kayaks and canoe and beautifully maintained backyard area kept everyone so entertained that we barely felt the need to leave to explore the surrounding area (though I am sure there would have been plenty to do if we had). On our one rainy day there was enough indoor common space (plus board games & even puzzles for the little kids) for 8 adults, 4 kids and 3 babies to hang out without getting cabin fever. The kitchen was well stocked with all the equipment we needed to make family meals. Lori was very easy to work with and the house was amazingly well organized. Overall, the ideal spot for a family week in Maine.

Wonderful Lake Property!
Leaning Pines was a beautiful and comfortable vacation spot. The house is spacious, well equipped and has amazing views from almost every room. Lori was great to work with and answered quickly when I texted her. We had extended family there and we did not feel crowded at all. We like to cook and the extra kitchenette was really great.
The yard and lake front was perfect - we used the fire pit several nights, ate out on the deck and made full use of the paddle boards, kayaks and canoe.
We also loved that it is a quieter lake - motorized boats but no jet skis. The neighborhood was great for walking but we were still close to a lot of restaurants/ice cream stands, etc.
Great property worthy of 5 stars across the board.

The location and amenities of this property were wonderful. It was well equipped, rustic, and the location directly on the water made for a peaceful, and beautiful stay. Heaven on earth
Our stay at Leaning Pines was perfect in every way. The house was beautiful, well equipped and incredibly clean when we arrived. We had eight people with us and there was more than enough room for us all. Trickey Pond is a very special place! The water clarity is unmatched, perfect for swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding. We especially enjoyed watching the family of loons in the day and hearing their calls at night. We loved our stay and hated to leave! Thank you, Lori, for sharing your special retreat with us!

Trickey Pond retreat is a Maine treat.
This was our second time at Leaning Pines and this week was even better than the first! The first floor layout is perfect for the whole gang to enjoy and spread out. All rooms are generous size with lovely comfortable furniture. All linens and supplies are new or in great condition.
The second floor is a unique layout but everything is very comfortable, especially the great fans provided for a hot evening. Hoping in time it will be updated like the first floor- then it would be just perfect.
The Kitchen has just about everything you need - we spoil ourselves and travel our own waffle maker, breakfast griddle, can opener and sheet pans which make dinner prep and clean up a snap.
Thanks to great weather, the lake was perfect! Warmer than I expected being earlier in the season for us. Kayaks and Paddle boards used every day. Loved hearing the Loons call in the evenings.
Lori is wonderful to work with . She is accommodating and very attentive if a question comes up.

The house was everything we had hoped for and more!!! It is the perfect rustic cottage!!! Lori is absolutely the nicest person to work with. We rented it for our wedding weekend and she was so sweet!!! Her home made our special day so perfect!!! If you are looking for the perfect spot on the most perfect lake..... Lori, Thank-you for a great week at your beautiful home. Our family enjoyed paddle boarding and kayaking as well as ping pong tornaments. Your kitchen is well stocked with cooking and serving dishes. The best vacarion ...ever.
We don't have a family vacation often so we try to pick a great spot and this was it. Keeping everyone happy with ages ranging from 1 to 79....can be a challenge! But this place met the challenge....it was like almost everything was new. We were not in want of anything. It was all there. Even with three days of rain we had a good time and the kids never complained! My daughter said "best vacation ever".

excellent family vacation site.
Thank you Lori for making your lovely home available to our party of 11. Six adults and 5 kids. We began each day in the spacious kitchen, later talking among ourselves in one of the 3 living areas; kids and adults all participating in the conversations which were rich. Then the crew moved out to the wonderful waterfront area and it was here where we stayed for a good part of every sunny day, canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding, sailing on one of the 2 sailboats we brought to the house. One morning our flotilla moved up the pond to the north end and many of us enjoyed the rope swing on one of the islands. I appreciated the beauty and safety of your porch, dock and water entry area. For the rainy days drawing paper, pens and pencils helped entertain the kids, and you were most thoughtful to provide both those and the puzzles and board games in the back living area. We had a family ping pong tournament. On our last night we gathered by the fire ring and toasted somemores. Our family enjoyed a most memorable week together.

Perfect lakeside vacation
We loved this property so much we came back a second time and look forward to returning again. Leaning Pines was a perfect place for our family reunion with 12 people including 4 grandchildren ages 3 weeks to 7 years, and 6 adult children and spouses. The house is great - large, clean and decorated to give a perfect vacation feel. We had ample room with 5 bedrooms and 2 family rooms plus a large living/sitting room with great views of the lake. We ate in almost every night usually cooking on the BBQ. We had great times playing - whether young children toys or board games and cards for the adults. But as great as the house is the outside living is spectacular with the large deck, large lawn area, hammock, s'mores area and of course the dock and lake. We spent hours in the lake, swimming or with the canoe, kayaks or paddle boards. The water is shallow for the little ones. It is a quiet neighborhood but within an hour of Portland, Story Land in NH and also close to local pubs, shopping, mini golf, ice cream stands, and more. Lori the owner is great in trying to insure a great vacation. We will be back!

We had a wonderful week at Leaning Pines. The house was so accommodating for our group and the property and water view and access beautiful. Our kids had a week of busy swimming and boating with their cousins and organized a serious family ping pong tournament! Thanks for the hospitality, Lori.
