Below expectations

The kids enjoyed the pool and the big spaces in the house.

It seems like some years with the pandemic and absence of tourism has hit hard. So the feeling we got from the pictures didn’t really match reality. It was worn and most of the old fine plants around the property were withered. It's a shame because I could have imagined how beautiful it was once upon a time when maybe it didn't give such a feeling of being abandoned as it did now.

Worst place I have ever stayed

Not a lot.

Overall it was very disappointing. It generally felt very unloved and a bit run down. There was damp smell was in the kitchen cupboard - every plate glass etc had to be washed before it could be used as it smelt of damp and mold. On the gas stove top only one light worked properly and the wardrobe in the bedroom smelt slightly moldy too. On the first night it got cold and we asked for the heating to be turned on only to be told no and that the heating only went on in November (it was mid October). They told us we could light a fire the next night and we might have to leave a window open to make the fire draw. We bought wood (for another €12) and lit a fire - the chimney smoked so badly that we had to put it out. It wasn't just a little smoke - we had to open all the doors and windows all night to get rid of the smoke. So not only were we cold but our eyes were streaming with the smoke. The next morning we decided to leave and they admitted that the chimney had not been inspected or swept. They offered us another apartment but again not heated so we decided to leave. They agreed to refund the two nights that were were not staying. (we only asked for the two nights although I feel a refund for all four nights was in order) I sent them my bank details as requested and then they decided not to make that refund and have stopped communication with us. I tried to resolve this but to no avail. Overall a bad experience especially as they went back on their word and did not refund our money. And by the way they said none of this was true - again very disappointing.

Superb

The house is in a wonderful countryside location, surrounded by fields and you can really see the stars at night. Breakfast in the little terrace is magic too

I loved swimming pool, the layout of the cottage very authentic. I slept like a baby in there. Very calm kind staff

Rustic countryside experience away from the hustle of the resorts

Very friendly and helpful staff. It's in a blissful location away from the hustle of resort towns. The kitchen was properly equipped and the grill was a nice touch. Pool was great to have to cool off. Feels like you stepped back in time.

It definitely has a rustic feel, which is of course part of the charm of staying in the countryside. The beds weren't too comfortable. Although everything was very clean. The bedroom has a bit of a cave-like feel to it, which we did not like. But this is part of the charm of an old place. Part of the package. Also the whole apartment had a bit of a musty smell to it. Again, maybe part of the rustic experience. Nothing was bad and we still enjoyed our stay, but we've definitely stayed in more comfortable places for a similar price.

very authentic and relaxing

Very friendly and empathetic owner. Beautiful renovated farmhouse, very authentic. Quiet location (passing airplanes are sporadic and not a problem at all).

central location but because of that quite remote from anything you want to visit.

Nice countryside oasis (with risk to have kids playing in the pool)

The pool is lovely and the surrounded countryside is amazing to have a walk. It is very relaxing and quiet.

There were a lot of kids playing in the pool. It would have been much better without kids. No hairdryer
