would not stay their again

this was over priced the breakfast expensive and very meager, In other hotels on my trip I paid less for a bigger more comfortable room with air con and a evening meal and breakfast. The only ventilation was to open a window onto a noisy street the room was cramp and the bathroom very small.

Auberges des Remparts is a lovely hotel with an exceptional interior design and charming host.

Auberges des Remparts is quite a unique hotel, not your average chain stay. It's interior design is is one a kind, eg. the lobby has the feel of a past era, not defined by one specific but a mix of several early and mid-20th century ones. My room on the other hand was clearly a retro room in the style of the late 60s and early 70s. I appreciate the helpfulness and kindness of what I believe to be the owner. He was making sure the guests got answers to their questions, I certainly had a few.

Despite feeling very cosy and spending an agreeable time, there were a few things that I think need pointing out. The water pressure in the shower is sub-optimal especially with longer hair it takes forever to get the shampoo out. As I was on a business trip I had to do some work on my laptop, but the desk and the 70s retro chair weren't really designed for ergonomic working. Lastly and in all fairness I probably could and should have asked this beforehand the breakfast had no real vegan options, apart from the bread and fruits.

Awesome stay in a very cool chic boutique hotel

The hotel manager is very cool person, and was very helpful and friendly The room had everything i needed, from a small disk and chair for working to the awesome olive soap and shower gel. The location of the hotel is ideal if you are visiting the main parts of the city, as well as the Laval Virtual exhibition. Although i didn't have breakfast, it looked really nice.

The room was a bit loud because it had two windows directly on the street, so if you are a light sleeper like me, be sure to drop an email and ask for a room in the back, as it will be much more quite.

Typical French breakfast. Do not expect a large buffet. In the middle of the town (needs a good satnav) Location is super, very old building (charming)
