Great motel, rude guests next door and below us.

Staff are great manager is great facilities are nice, clean. Manager went out of her way for a last minute booking, we showed up and had a warm room with electric blankets on. Loved the service. Nothing wrong with the room or hotel. If I knew the kids and I wouldn't have slept properly because of the neighbors, I would have paid more elsewhere- to no fault of the motel.

You can hear everything through the walls, taps, toilet flushing, people's conversation and banging on every side and underneath you. Loud, rude families next door and underneath until 4am, struggled to get to sleep. They were drinking, loud rude music and conversing until 4 in the morning. I wondered if there was a rule about quiet time say 12am. Because a family 4 who had travelled all day really just wanted some rest.

A great over night stay. Easy with family and great, clean facilities.

Booking this motel last minute was risky but we were blown away by the owner/manager and staff. Who welcomed us, rectified a few minor issues right away. With 2 bedrooms, a kitchenette and a playground it a great place to stay with the family. Easily accessible to the main city.

Almost ruined my trip.

That the bed had electric blanket, that's it.

The amount I paid and what I actually paid for massive rip off It was cold and warmed by two heaters when I expected heat pump, the dishes were dirty, the curtains were moldy, the fridge was too loud we have to switch off to get any sleep, and there was to much light coming in from cracks in curtains and door which was covered by vanisian blind so we used our clothing to block the light at 5am when we finally had a enough, we got a ok sleep until 7am but after that the upstairs people and traffic were too loud. Also their rules for the room are silly regarding towels .. you basically can't use them. And no eating on the beds ... if I pay for a room I'll do what I want. I won't trash the place though. This place needs lots of improvements

Nice Stay

Our key was waiting in lock box as we booked last minute (3hrs before) , the rear patio area and front was well lit and safe. The kids play area is awesome. Was nice and quiet as not on main road.

It was dirty, I only stayed one night. I hadnt been away in a long time, i was really dissappointed

It had dust everywhere, They said they were pet friendly but were going to charge a further 100. dollars on top of the amount i had already paid for my pet to stay. The fuses kept blowing in the room.

Cold as anything!! Just two oil heaters we had no extra blanket no hairdryer. Feels like we stayed here in the expensive backpackers!

We made do with the booking. was convenient for what I needed to do. I stayed in better for same $$

The location was great.

The room needs upgrading asap was a tad disappointed on the room was cold, no nets on windows so couldn't open the curtains with out everyone looking in. I was not aware of the $100 bond on arrival as it did not state when I made the booking online.

Don't stay here

The man was friendly on the phone when he called to tell me nobody will be a t reception when we arrive so the key will be on the bench. No wonder he didn't want to be there when we arrived. It was not a nice place to stay. As it was a long weekend and no other accommodation available (trust me I checked) I had to go to the supermarket and purchase antibacterial wipes and soap and clean the place.

No soap in the bathroom, hair in the shower and on the vanity. The toilet seat didn't fit the toilet as the pan was oval and the seat was round. So your legs touched the pan when you sat down. We went to the swimming pools so I didn't have to use the shower as it looked dirty. The window was chest height in the shower. If you'd shower at night with the light on the neighbors would be able to watch you. The bed was so uncomfortable that I had a terrible sleep and a sore hip in the morning. There was a dirty used plaster behind the dented heater. The windows on the top floor had no safety latches and the bed in the kids room was next to the window so very dangerous. The gaps in the sides of the upstairs decking rails were wide enough that i was worried that my 2 year old could fit through them. There was a pile of old carpet and rubbish outside. We paid about $270 per night, so I didn't expect such below entry level accommodation. I will not be returning here.

Not a happy stay on our part

The property is becoming very dated and need of an update, unfortunately it is of the era gone by and very basic. Taupo is extremely cold at this time of year and heating was a small oil electric heater, TV was a small set located to low to the floor

Heating system , the decor and fittings are all outdated
