If you value and want convenience, do not stay at this hotel.
The bed was very spacious and soft. It’s comfortable to sleep in. I also liked the view so much. Good place to watch the sunrise and sunset. Also, I had them do my laundry for me and my clothes smelled so divine after they washed them! I paid almost 2,500pesos for everything though but I think it’s worth it. Also, some of the hotel staff were friendly.
1. The lights. Our room was very dark. There were no lights where there should be lights. Also, I wasn’t sure how to turn on the reading light on the makeup table, I mean, should it be obvious how to turn it on? I had to ask the front desk how to turn it on just so our room will be brighter as it was, as I said, so dark. 2. No Smart TV. Who still watches cable? Everyone wants Netflix, Prime, Hulu, Disney +.. It’s like the hotel’s stuck in the 2000s. On top of that, their cable was under maintenance when we visited. We cannot even use the tv for Youtube, my goodness. 3. The sink stopper needs to be lifted or else you will be stuck with a clogged drain. I had to call the front desk to fix my clogged sink. She told me to lift the thing to behind the faucet to raise the sink stopper to unclog it. I mean, what kind of sink is that that it needs to be lifted by the guest before it can function?? It’s like the room’s a puzzle that needs to be solved by the guests first before it can be used. Like c’mon. 4. No hand wash by the sink. You have complete toiletries and yet, no hand wash by the sink? Don’t people wash their hands all the time? Especially after the pandemic. If you’re going to redesign your room, might as well put also a hand towel in front of the sink so people can have something to wipe their hands with after they’re done washing their hands. 5. The drain outside the shower is soooo far from the shower door that it forms a puddle right outside the shower door that yes, can make you slip. They have a no-slip mat though but the water is all over the shower room floor so yeah it’s messy and not to mention, dangerous. 6. You cannot take the hair dryer out of the shower. I want to use it in front of the big mirror inside the bedroom, not inside the shower room because the floor is wet after I used the shower so I don’t want to be there anymore. 7. There should be more electric sockets.

The excellent, professional & courteous service of the staff made up for dated room & bathroom.
The whole staff is amazing from the first time you walk into the hotel up to the time you check-out. Every staff member greets you with a big smile and warm greetings every single day. A couple of days after we checked in, a representative of the front desk & a representative of the security staff visited us and offered us a slice of a beautiful and delicious cake to thank us for choosing Acacia Hotel to stay in during our 2-week visit in Manila. We had breakfast in the Acaci Buffet area and every staff member were extra cordial, friendly, and attentive to the guests' needs. Special thanks goes to Jessica who oversaw the facility. She made us feel extra special every morning with her bright, warm and beautiful smile along with her courteous & professional demeanor. She even gave us a send-off gift (a delicious slice of cake!) right before we checked out. Tricia & Winna (front desk/concierge desk) went out of their way to find us and arrange for us the best dry cleaning services outside the hotel because this service is not currently offered in the hotel. They arranged for the pick-up & delivery of our party clothes which needed dry cleaning as soon as possible. The housekeeping staff were very friendly, quick-to-respond, courteous, & attentive to our needs. They changed the linens & beddings, emptied the trash cans, cleaned the bathroom, & fully replenished the toiletries in the bathroom every day. They even vacuumed the carpet upon request. The Concierge staff was also very helpful, polite & quick-to-respond to our requests to use their free shuttle service the couple of shopping malls nearby. Despite their large pool of guests especially during the weekends, they still manage to make every guest feel special & valued. The hotel's location is great too - close to restaurants, fast food eateries, shopping malls, etc.
The room we stayed in needs updating especially the bathroom, and they need to installing brighter lights. It's pretty dark in the bathroom and in the room itself (opening the curtains helps a lot but the glass window is not tinted so other guests can see everything going on in the room). The grout in the shower room was nasty & moldy so we requested Housekeeping staff to clean it for us as soon as possible. They were apologetic. The dated carpet flooring on the hallways need to be replaced. The Acaci Buffet area gets very crowded and busy during the weekend. On our first day there, we were seated there at 9:30 am (they serve breakfast from 6-10 am), the food and coffee were cold. When I asked Caleb about it he was very apologetic and explained that some guests don't close the lids on the containers making the food cold. After that morning till we checked out, the food & coffee were warm till 10 am. Ceiling damage also noticeable at the entrance of the Acaci Buffet area.

This hotel is a value to tourist travelers, but not that great for business travelers.
Cost. Decent location. Enough places nearby to keep fed and entertained.
Internet was super slow AND it blocked VPN connections. Because of this, I cannot recommend this hotel for a business traveler that needs fast internet or who have to connect back to home base. Hot water was hit or miss, but I shower with cold water anyway.

Overall, the stay was nice. I could relax by myself. The location was very near everything in Alabang. On the other hand
The property was actually good and smells fresh every time. The breakfast buffet variety was adequate and not overwhelmingly good. The staff were also very helpful.

Fair hotel stay that needs service improvement.
Venue is in central location and close to everything you need like restaurants, groceries, park, expressway access. Breakfast options are great. Clean rooms. Housekeeping service staff are good.
Reception staff needs more effort in receiving and accommodating guests. I've travelled many countries and stayed in 5-star hotels where I get to be greeted professionally and warmly by the reception and concierge. This hotel needs to train staff to be in the same 5-star service standard. We arrived via taxi with big luggages, we had to offload our own bags into the door while security personnel just wait and look on us :( I had to go and get their attention before they start helping. Other 5-star hotels will have door personnel jumping in to help carry bags. As for check-in experience, staff do not usually show enthusiasm in receiving guests. I had to make the effort in connecting with them. They looked unreceptive and made guests wait in queue when there's enough staff there anyway. Other 5-star hotel will have reception staff warmly welcome guests, but not in Acacia. I stayed for 2 weeks and noticed the same unwelcoming feel the whole time. Didn't get that 5-star welcome feeling from lobby staff like in other high-end hotels I stayed. Concierge service is okay though. As for the breakfast, guests were made to wait a long queue before being let in on some days. Apparently, the restaurant accepts walk-ins and external restaurant bookings at the breakfast, hence, making the restaurant extra packed on some days. Hotel guests should be given priority in the breakfast, it's their basic entitlement that they paid for.
