A lovely hotel with the perfect situation beside the river and a short walk to main shopping area.
The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was spot on.
We were a little nervous about the parking after reading other reviews but there was no need. We have a kia xceed which is not so small and there felt like lots of space in the lift.
The stand alone shower had broken seals at the bottom so the bathroom flooded on 1st use. Staff were great and cleaned up and gave us new towels while we were out for the evening. We were offered another room but for only 1 night it didn't seem worthwhile.
Unfortunately the air con wasn't working. A balmy 24 degrees in our room. As it was late and we were tired, my husband opened a window. The builders on the site next door started early and the bit of sunshine we get at this time of year was coming in through the ill fitting curtains.

Fabulous location, very comfortable hotel with lovely rooms, close to many of the museums, the river, the opera, the cathedral and the old town, restaurants, U-Bahn and S-Bahn stations.
The staff at check in was poor and the response to our request for information about the Wi-Fi was met with - you have to come down to the desk. No information on the breakfast times was given.

Sehr gute Lage, nur wenige Gehminuten zum Römer, direkt am Main, schöne Zimmer, wir hatten ein Zimmer im 5.Stock mit Fenster zum Main. Tolles Frühstück. Eigene Tiefgarage in der wir unsere Fahrräder sicher unterstellen konnten.

The room was excellent - I had a fourth floor room, with a little balcony facing the river. Super views of the Alte Brücke (see attached photos). The room was clean, spacious, comfortable, pleasant. The hotel was very well situated - close enough to walk easily to the Städel Museum across the river, or to the old town a few streets away. Cab ride to the hotel from the main station took 10 min and cost 12 euro.
The staff at the reception were a bit sloppy - well meaning perhaps, but not sharp. In the end it was not a problem, but detracted from good features of the hotel (room, location).
The breakfast buffet had the usual diverse options that one finds in a German hotel - pastries, bread, cheese, vegetables, jams, hot food etc. but somehow was not entirely up to the mark. It seemed to be slightly lower quality than would be expected.
The rain shower was misaligned and a lot of the bathroom got wet when I used it. The secondary shower head was fine, and the bathtub was a plus.

Viele Kleinigkeiten: Das Zimmer hat nach Rauch gestunken (war mit einem Ozon-Gerät behebbar und ich bekam eine Nacht in der Garage umsonst - war dann ok), das Fenster liess sich nicht komplett schliessen, so dass die Party im Nachbarhaus sehr laut war (war aber nur einmal und die Party war dankenswerterweise nur bis Mitternacht laut), irgendein Aufzug schien immer kaputt (es war aber immer einer verfügbar).
Das Internet war wohl in vielen Zimmern ok, in Zimmer 412 war es saumässig - und das ist echt ein Mangel.

Location was excellent. Room was a good size.
Carpets throughout hotel were grubby - those in corridors really need to be replaced. The carpets in the room were not well hoovered - the edges were quite dusty and we presume that gave the room a musty smell, although that disappeared after opening the window for a while. Luckily it wasn't too cold to do that!
The cost of the breakfast is ridiculous (€19) if all you want is continental style. Our travelling companions (who also booked through booking.com) were offered a special rate to book breakfast in advance but we did not see this option when we made our booking.

Eigentlich ist dies ein sehr schönes Hotel. Grosse Zimmer, nett eingerichtet. Lage ist perfekt zur Frankfurter Innenstadt. Zimmer auf der rueckwaertigen Seite sehr ruhig. Parkplatz (mit Autoaufzug) ist vorhanden. Ueber das Fruehstueck kann man diskutieren, es ist nicht hochwertig, aber alles ist da und wird auch regelmaessig nachgelegt. Soweit ist alles okay.
Das Personal vor Ort ist eine Katastrophe. Wir hatten nach dem Lesen der Bewertungen ein Zimmer nach hinten gebucht und auch (vorab) bezahlt. Bei Ankunft war es angeblich nicht verfuegbar, die Rezeptionistin entschuldigte sich zwar flapsig, dass sie da wohl einen Fehler gemacht haette, es waere aber nun leider nicht mehr zu aendern. Wir mussten in einem lauten Zimmer zur Strassenseite hin uebernachten und wurden mit bloeden Kommentaren am Empfang abgespeist. In der zweiten Nacht haben wir dann ein Zimmer auf der rueckwartigen Seite erhalten, aber leider wieder nicht in der gebuchten und vorab bezahlten Kategorie. Auch hier wieder bloede Kommenatere von einer unverschaemt frechen Rezeptionistin. Ein Gespraech mit der Geschaeftsfuehrung war nicht moeglich, trotz mehrfachem Nachfragens. Auch ein Rueckrufwunsch wurde bis heute nicht erfuellt. Bei der Abreise weigerte ich mich, den Tiefgaragenparkplatz zu bezahlen, da meine Forderung gegen das Hotel deutlich hoeher war wie die Parkplatzgebuehr. Der offene Betrag wurde dann im Nachhinein einfach von meinem Kreditkarte eingezogen. Ein Widerspruch laeuft noch. Wie hier vorgegangen wird, grenzt das schon an Betrug! Eine Beschwerde bei Booking.Com fuehrte leider auch nicht zum Erfolg, da ich mich erst nach Abreise beschwert habe und nun angeblich nichts mehr zu machen sei. Auch dies ist grenzwertig, da mit ja die gebuchte und vorab bezahlte Leistung verwehrt wurde.

Staff were good. The view was nice out to the river, that makes it louder, but that fine with me.
The key system was down, and I couldn't get a key to my room. I left some work things in my car so I wouldn't have to ask to go up to my room during the day. That was inconvenient. Also the bar is close until 3pm. I came early because of a meeting and couldn't get into my room, and couldn't get a drink/coffee while I was waiting.

Das Upgrade-Zimmer mit Flussblick war leider sehr laut, da eine viel befahrene Straße zwischen Hotel und Main vorbei führt. Menschen mit leichtem Schlaf sind sicher in einem Zimmer zum Hof besser aufgehoben.
Es ist sicher nicht jedermanns Sache sein Auto in einen Aufzug zu fahren, um damit die Tiefgarage zu erreichen. Das wurde mir bei einem Anruf vor der Anreise mit der Frage nach Parkmöglichkeiten nicht mitgeteilt, sollte man aber wissen.
Zu wenig Kleiderbügel und zu wenig Abstellfläche im Bad. Keine Kosmetiktücher.

Pleasant stay in a very comfortable, clean room. Room was very spacious, an apparent rarity in Frankfurt. Friendly and professional staff throughout. Used the coffee machine in the breakfast area, very good! Late checkout arranged without any problems.
Tip - Excellent Italian bistro (Bistro Salvatore) right next door with great personal service.
Price of mini-bar drinks! Ouch! Here's a tip - take the elevator to the bar downstairs near reception and take drinks back to your room! Much more reasonable.
