Convenient as we were only passing through Mackay. It was nice and clean. Very comfortable beds. Reception person welcoming. Lovely cooked breakfast. Roomy shower with plenty of hot water. Reasonable price.

Location is awesome. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom layout fantastic. Water pressure awesome.

Standard hwy motel with very friendly staff. Used the laundry free of charge which was a lovely bonus.

small and easy access

cleaning ladies had carts in parking spots, so we had to park infront of others room and the aircon was facing on the bed which was so cold! but other then that was amazing

This motel is very handy to supermarket, takeaway food and liquor outlet. It’s an older motel but is always exceptionally clean…. Well done to the ladies who do the cleaning. Breakfast was fine and was served at the requested time. Thank you everyone.

I’m happy with everything at the Lantern, that’s why we’re regular customers.

The staff, both the new owner, Sarah & the other staff members were extremely helpful and polite and kind too. Whether in their work hours or not, they still responded with promptness & kindness.

The only issue was the price was probably 15 too much when looking at the amount of time we stayed per night, however,they made up for this in terms of being able to do washing etc.

Wouldn't stay again.

The location is good. The room itself was clean. The staff were quite friendly.

The armchair in the room was filthy. It needs to go straight to the tip. The shower was average and took a while for hot water to come through. Then the temperature of the water kept going from hot to cold. It was quite noisy there too. Could easily hear conversations and TV'S in other rooms.
