About this house rental

OCEANFRONT Rodanthe- South Shore Dr. This spacious, tastefully appointed home on the Atlantic shore is the perfect place to relax and rejuvenate in uncompromising comfort. The paved carport at the entry level leads to a game room complete with pool table, TV, wet bar and half bath. Two master suites with full baths complete this level. The second floor has four bedrooms with ocean view, each with private access to a huge shaded deck and 6 person hot tub. Two are king masters, one with Jacuzzi and separate shower, the other two bedrooms include one with two singles and one with two pyramid bunks. The third floor has an elegant master suite with tray ceilings and a Jacuzzi for two, surrounded by windows and separate glass enclosed shower. Soaring cathedral ceilings with custom windows, cypress trim, and custom moulding truly make this one of a kind. The dining room leads to a large screened porch with picnic table connected to a massive sundeck. The spiral stairway to the fourth level "ship’s watch" tower room will lead you to tranquility, a memorable stay and PERFECT PEACE.

Vacation Rental Protection Plan: This required non-refundable $95 plan covers accidental damage within the home with a coverage limit of $3,000. It does not cover theft or willful misconduct. You must notify Surf or Sound Realty of any damage that occurs during your occupancy or this coverage will be void. Coverage is effective at time of check-in and ends at time of check-out.

New for 2024: PERFECT PEACE is receiving major updates! Due to the ever-changing coastline of Hatteras Island, this home is being moved on its current lot. With this exciting change, you can expect many newly improved amenities! Entirely new lower level including the game room, two bedrooms, three bathrooms, the kitchenette, and a new staircase. Additionally, with this update you will have a new hot tub, all the decks are being updated, and new home décor!

This house is the in the perfect location! It’s sits right on the beach, and the ocean views are spectacular! But…upon arrival we were somewhat disappointed with the condition of the house and furnishings. There was trash strewn along the side of the property, broken deck furniture was left to rot near the house, mold on the downstairs shower curtain, ripped out missing window screens, a missing drawer front, no heat in the dryer, a missing electrical outlet, a glass top table with no glass - we had hoped to seat some of our family members there for meals. The list could go on and on. We didn’t mind a few dents and scratches on furniture and such, but some of the above mentioned issues caused inconveniences and detracted from the beauty of the house. We didn’t let this ruin our vacation, but a little TLC would go a long way at this property. The maintenance man is excellent, by the way. Friendly and helpful. Would we return? No. We would look for a different house in a similar location in the future.

This house was perfect for my husband, mom, uncle, kids and grandkids. Plenty of room, awesome ocean views and just beautiful. Right on the beach in a nice quiet neighborhood. This was a wonderful place to go on vacation. We had a great time. Thank you so much!!

Excellent place to stay. Beautiful views, right on the sand. There were plenty of take out options and we were able to stock up on groceries so we were able to have a safe and enjoyable vacation. No problem with distancing as the beaches were not overcrowded.
